Select an African-‐American Inventor we studied and discussed in class or from the provided list. Conduct research on your inventor to write an informa,ve/explanatory essay. You can submit a wriTen essay or create a mul,media presenta,on using informa,on from mul,ple sources. 1. Create school-‐wide awareness of the WriTen Word Contest (i.e., post flyer, announce at Tuesday’s Bank-‐,me, share at parent mee,ng, etc.) 2. Gather resources on African-‐American inventors 3. Create a display and or work sta,on to support the work 4. Work with leadership team to plan a school-‐wide focus (i.e. Time-‐line, school judges, cer,ficate etc.) 5.
