CHAIRPERSON

Once again we find ourselves at the end of another great football season.

Let me begin by thanking and congratulating ALL the GDSFA clubs

and their respective committees for your hours of hard work and dedication ensuring that our great game is played. Your efforts in your

respective clubs and towards the growth of football are what make our Association the success it is. A very special congratulations also to the Auburn

District Soccer Club on being named the 2015 GDSFA CHAMPION CLUB.

Once again this year has been an extremely busy one and although the weather did its best to hinder us we managed to complete our competitions with minimal

adjustments or wash-outs.

Congratulations to all teams that participated in the finals series. Congratulations also to the teams that represented the GDSFA in the FNSW Champion of Champions tournament

with special mention to the Castle Hill United U12/1 boys and the Kellyville Kolts U14/1 Girls who were named CHAMPIONS after winning their respective Finals.

The 5th Annual GDSFA Mini-Roos Gala Day was once again held.

The U6 – U7 Gala Day was hosted by Toongabbie Demons Soccer Club,

The U8 – U9 Gala Day was hosted by Auburn Districts Soccer Club and

The U10 – U11 Gala Day was hosted by the Kellyville Kolts Soccer Club

A massive THANK-YOU to all 3 clubs for hosting the event. The professionalism shown was exemplary ensuring that once again the days were successful in promoting the participation of our youngest members in football in a fun “End of Season get together”.

Thanks also to the many clubs who offered their fields and amenities to host various coaching courses, instructing referee courses, judiciary hearings and meetings.

The Representative Arm of the GDSFA – PARRAMATTA FC, also had a very busy season.

After being successful in our application to secure a State League License, 2015 saw the addition of Parramatta FC Ladies.

All Parramatta FC teams from SAP to 1st grade competed well with the U15 Girls and U14 Boys teams making the Finals.

I would like to acknowledge and thank my fellow Directors for all their hard work

throughout the year.

Finally I would like to thank the GDSFA Office Staff, Michael and Anita for all their work and assistance.

MINIROO PORTFOLIO

Heritage: Something inherited from the birth, Traditions – regarded as the valuable inheritance of contemporary society

The Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association (GDSFA) has

been referred to as the “Birthplace of Football (soccer) in Australia” its first club founded in 1882, making it the oldest Association of its type in

the Southern Hemisphere.

Even though the first Sydney football club formed was the Parramatta – based Wanderers Club in 1880, was soon followed by the Granville Club in 1882. The

local workers from Clyde Engineering founded this team. The Granville team played in black and white stripe shirts, and became affectionately known as the Magpies,

which was later adopted as the official team name and used as the GDSFA emblem.

In 1902, the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association, which is still known as today, inaugurated. Even with the interruptions of the First and Second World Wars, has

continuously supported a growing number of local clubs, including Granville Kewpies, Granville Waratahs, Auburn Districts, Pendle Hill, Toongabbie, Dundas, Winston Hill, Castle

Hill United, Kellyville Kolts, Holroyd Rangers and Rouse Hill just to name a few.

Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association is also a proud member of the Football NSW Sanction Football Family and has the benefit in which the grassroots’ clubs can compete in competitions such as the State Cup and Champion of Champions which to date 61 teams have

won this prestige competition, coaching development where they provide education and coaching up dates, refereeing where they assist in education, appointments and a pathway for future HAL/WWL referee’s, talented player pathway by providing support for development of players and game development for clubs with disability programs.

Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association Directors and Affiliated members with Football NSW have been working together focusing on governance, growth, develop and promote to the

ensure the future of the GDSFA within our boundaries continuous to deliver the needs of the growth which includes the North-West Hills regions and western area of Parramatta regions

Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association continues to provide a pathway for the young budding Matilda or Socceroos of the future for the players who play within our association

starting from the grassroots clubs to Parramatta FC SAP Development and Youth Programs and finally to the Senior squads.

Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association is an association I am proud to say I have

been player of a local club (PHFC) for over 40 years and even worn the colours of the Association in their representative teams and I have been honoured to be an elected

Director of the members of the affiliated clubs. But over the last few months I have seen and heard the selfishness of people who aren’t really out for the betterment of

the Football Community within the Association but for their own self importance and show no respect for impact of their actions that would decimate this proud

Association.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my co Directors and special praise to GDSFA GM Michael Briggs and Anita Tinker for their

management of over 15000 registered players and 32 individual clubs it is never easy to finding the balance of their love of the game and

providing a structure and set of guidelines that fit all is the most difficult and ongoing challenge within the business of Football.

COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT PORTFOLIO

I wish to extend great appreciation to all clubs, committees and individuals who extended their support toward Coaching and

Development l this season. I also express my appreciation to those on the G.D.S.F.A Board, the office staff and G.D.S.R.A (Referees) who

supported football development in 2015.

Countless thanks to all the Managers, you’re astounding people. You amaze me with your tireless efforts that for most of the time go unnoticed and

unthanked. You work tirelessly to facilitate football within your clubs and on behalf of the Granville District, your efforts are understated.

Finally to our Coaches, who choose to learn and advance their skills in 2015, to bring

the advancement of the individual and the game in our distinguished district. You are the true champions in this fabulous game. Unpaid, mostly unthanked and unappreciated

position you worked in a manner that promoted fair play and development, you’re an asset to our association!

Congratulations to all teams that made the Finals/Semi and Grand finals and went on to

represent our district inthe FNSW Champion of Champion competition and a special mention to Kellyville U14 girls and Castle Hill United U12 Mixed who won the Grand Final of FNSW

Champion of champions.

FNSW

End of this year saw the unveiling of FNSW the new Role of COMMUNITY COACH

EDUCATION COORDINATOR, which will lead to some major changes at a coaching the coaches level within the association in 2016. It is a great initiative of FNSW and

GDSFA will be making good use of this role in the coming season.

There is to also be a weekly coaching plan sent out to ALL REGISTERED COACHES in 2016. This will be of magnanimous advantage to All coaches-

BUT THEY NEED TO REGISTER TO AN AGE GROUP TO RECEIVE.

With the suggestions from GDSFA/FNSW working group for 2016 I see the level of

coaching lifting with each Club to have a Coaching Liaison officer/Head coach.

In short, its been my privilege to serve GDSFA in 2015, to work with my fellow directors and

the amazing office staff who have been carrying the work of 5 people.

Even though our efforts have been spread across many fronts this season we are looking forward to a strong 2016.

Many thanks to those who have helped me fulfil my job this season.

JUDICIAL PORTFOLIO

Firstly my thanks to the more than a dozen people who helped out with Judiciary and hearings this year I am very

grateful for your efforts and support. Thanks also to the Club representatives for your help and support in sorting through some

very tricky cases.

2015 has been a very long and difficult year with much of my time taken up dealing with long drawn out issues such as the breakaway Hills association,

restructuring of the relationship with the GDFRA and several constitutional challenges to a few Clubs by ex-members. Not to mention the needless legal

challenges put forward by several Clubs and individuals. I say needless because not only do they take up a fair bit of my time replying to them, they also show a lack of

understanding of the regulations even after I have explained them. Hopefully it is all part of the overall building of relationships and we can we move forward positively into

next season and beyond with a better understanding of each others views.

As a result my reforms and changes I was hoping to implement in the Disciplinary area in 2015 were somewhat compromised. However I am still on track to be where I wanted to be

for season 2016 which meant I had to cut a few corners this year in terms of getting sentences out on time.

My apologies for not publishing the Red Card spread sheet on our website and for not listing

any outcomes of hearings. The lack of a spread sheet was purely through a lack of time and duress throughout most of the season whilst the outcomes from hearings were not publicised due to the amount of media coverage we (GDSFA) were subjected to in 2015 which included regular calls from journalists seeking information on incidents that had been reported to them. This will be addressed and at least basic information published in 2016.

To give you a bit of background I joined the GDSFA board in late 2013 with the sole intention of standardising the disciplinary process to return consistent and proportionate sentences and look at ways of reducing the proclivity of serious incidents. To that end I spent 2014 getting an

understanding of the processes and systems in place and prior to 2015 changed most of our sentencing and procedures to be in line with the National Regulations and FNSW. As a result

most suspensions given out in 2015 were at the minimum or lower end of the spectrum (depending on past history) with very few repeat offenders reported. Without going into too

much detail (will be released prior to season start) my philosophy is fairly simple in terms of judiciary, with younger players I believe a low level ban and a good talking to is sufficient to

rein in most players and I will always look to work with Clubs in these situations and take their advice. With older players I take a stricter view in line with the regulations.

In terms of moving forward into 2016 I am currently working with FNSW on a policy

around the use of video as evidence and have many ideas and plans in place to address player, officials and spectator behaviour which I will detail after Christmas. I

want to work more closely with Clubs and promote an environment where they can trust they will continue to be treated fairly. One area I would like to mention

briefly is the playing of illegal or unregistered players which is very hard to police when teams do not bother to check cards resulting in only a handful

of cases being able to be proven. This needs to be addressed by all Clubs to do our best to stamp it out.

Page 18: Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association Inc · Two (2) Nominated Affiliated Club Representatives ... U/10 & U/11 53.26 12.61 2.76 0.77 12.60 82.00 $7.45 27.97 ... Attachment

The Judiciary for 2016 will be run very closely to the FNSW model with two people already appointed to act as

judiciary and challenges from Clubs then permitted back through the Director of Judiciary and Discipline. This will

hopefully ensure all initial sentences will be relayed to Clubs by the Thursday following the offence. Any incidents mentioned in the Match

Officials reports will be dealt with by the Judiciary including any Team Officials behaviour.

Now for those that just want to know facts and figures from 2015, if you have managed to still be reading here you go.

FEMALE FOOTBALL PORTFOLIO

2015 was overall a successful year for female football within GDSFA. The female participation throughout the GDSFA

increased from 2258 (2014) 2502.

The U18Gs/19Gs remains a difficult age group for female football and GDSFA has commenced discussions with neighbouring associations to

optimise our ability to offer decent competitions to our young women in these age groups.

Our collaborative approach in recent years has been rewarded with FNSW issuing

Parramatta FC a license to play in the Women’s State League competition.

We congratulate Vida Opoku-Agyemang who received the top honours of being awarded FNSW Women’s State League Player of the Year (joint winner) in Parramatta

FC’s Women’s inaugural year. Parramatta FC is now a clear player pathway for GDSFA girls and women.

In 2016, GDSFA will be participating in the U10s and U12s FNSW Girls Skills Acquisition

Program. The formation of GDSFA competitions for 2016 is yet to be determined.

I would like to thank the GDSFA Directors for their assistance and guidance throughout the year, and especially our office staff (Michael and Anita) for their hard work and assistance.

Most importantly, thank you to all the Clubs and their Committee members and volunteers for their hard work which provides our Clubs and Association ongoing success.

PARRAMATTA FC PORTFOLIO

2015 has seen the start of a period of consolidation as in 2014 there were many new procedures implemented to progress the

club.

Our Senior Men’s team was promoted to the Men’s NPL1 Competition. As expected, and with a relatively small budget, the team did well to remain

competitive and not be relegated for 2016. Integral to the senior teams success is the effective coaching that has been secured and this will remain in

place for 2016 to allow for progression of the teams development.

In 2015, our Youth League teams benefited from improved Technical Director leadership. Training sessions were prepared and structured in strict accordance with

the FNSW curriculum and the Coaching team met regularly to work collegially at the progression of the teams. In the interests of continuity, many of our coaches remain with

us for the 2016 season so that the club can benefit from their coaching skills developed and go into 2016 with strong loyalty to the club. Various improvements in TD leadership

have ensured a higher retention rate and success of our coaching staff which is fundamental to the club’s period of consolidation.

The SAP Program entered its 2nd year in 2015 and it demonstrated much progression from the previous year. Teams were highly competitive and procedures in place to reduce wear and tear of the playing surface, rosters for volunteer refereeing and field set up all proved to be more

refined in 2015.

Importantly, families and players within the club have benefited from the ongoing commitment to ensuring effective communication with current and future players and their families. The website has been well maintained as a great resource for players and their families to find out information about the club. The continued increased use of social media has also gained positive feedback from players and their families. This increase use of communication avenues allowed us to advertise our successes and gain interest in the club from potential players and sponsors.

While the club consolidated a range of procedures in 2015, the drive to be competitive motivated

players and coaches to strive to new heights. We remain dedicated to be a highly competitive club, valuing player development in 2016.

On behalf of the BOD, I would like to sincerely thank all the coaching staff, players and

volunteers who worked tirelessly all season to produce the outstanding results across the club this season.

REFEREES PORTFOLIO

In 2015 the Granville Board of Directors made the decision to be the governing body of its own referees division. The Board

appointed myself as Director of Referees and an offer was presented to the GDFRA to hold a SGM. This was to give the members

an opportunity to vote whether they would like the GDFRA name to be carried over to the new referees division. This offer was not initially taken

up by the GDFRA delaying the process until FNSW offered to mediate. The mediation was completed mid February with all parties agreeing to operate

under a new structure in 2015. This would enable the DOR to vet appointments and oversee the training and education of referees.

While referee numbers in NSW as a whole grew by 12%. In 2015 the GDFRA

membership was 261 down 10% against the previous year. Fortunatly this was offset by having only 26 members who did not officiate at all this year compared to 42 the

previous year. The GDFRA needs to invest in a ‘Word of Mouth’ recruitment campaign. I believe they could attract 100 new members for just a $1k - $2k investment. Considering

the average amount earned by a referee this year was $852 the Association would receive a return on investment of $6,390.00 just on the 7.5% levy alone. The most important thing is that the players would have an additional 100 referees in the system.

The average coverage of games in 2015 was:

Friday Night 100% (unless a late decline after acceptance or no-show) Saturday 50% average Sunday Ladies 100% (unless a late decline after acceptance or no-show)

Coverage is difficult to manage at times due to the 1pm and 3pm games having divisions that are far apart in levels, i.e a 35/5 game followed by an AAM6. There are referees that can easily cover the 35/5 game but would struggle officiating the AAM6 game.

The GDSFA BOD, Clubs and Referee Association need to work together to recruit the required

amount of referees where all games can be appointed a referee (either GDFRA or Accredited Club Referee).

Identify and train referees who wish to step up and do the higher level games of AAM 5, 6 or 7. I asked the Referees Association to provide me with this information but it was not

forthcoming. The DOR needs access to Arbiter to communicate directly to the referees rather than having it filtered by the Referees Association.

Club Referees:

I would like to put a system in place where we have better educated and trained club referees. All Club referees should have passed the online FNSW course plus a practical referees course at a cost of $50.00. There should be no game refereed by a person without these basic qualifications.

I would hold a fortnightly training and education night for club referees and Club Referee Co-Ordinators to attend.

Summary:

After the new structure was agreed to by all parties the GDSFA BOD believed the Director of Referees would have

access to Arbiter. This would enable me to communicate with the members regarding training and educational opportunities. This

access was later withdrawn by the GDFRA.

The DOR needs access to Arbiter to communicate with memebers as only 18 – 23% of referees attend the Referees Association Monthly General

Meetings.

With access to Arbiter I am confident I could have achieved:

Increase in membership

More opportunities for referees to attend training and education sessions

Greater coverage of games

With the support of the Clubs every game of the GDSFA would be played with a qualified, accredited and properly identified referee.

GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT

Firstly, I would like to extend a big thankyou to all club committee members, coaches, managers and all other volunteers

that contribute many hours to help sustain our great game of football. Your efforts ensure that our clubs provide a safe and healthy

environment for the greater community to participate in what I believe is the biggest organised sporting program in the country where participation

rate is concerned. What is most encouraging is that it has been reported that our female football participation is overtaking what was once the heavily

dominated and preferred female sport, netball.

Although all our volunteers are worthy recipients of an award, I would like to extend my congratulations to all the volunteers that were presented an award at the Granville & Districts Annual Presentation Dinner. You are all highly regarded by your peers and

amongst the GDSFA football community as a whole.

Participation levels within GDSFA have grown for the third consecutive year with the addition of more than 1500 registered players recorded across all clubs for the 2015

season.

The season was off to a shaky start due to weather conditions, however we managed to get it back on track as a group with understanding, co-operation and assistance by all clubs. As a

result, the finals series, unlike last season, was able to be played in all its entirety. Thank you to all the clubs who hosted, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to all League Winners and Grand Champions for the 2015 season. This is not an easy feat to accomplish as players strive year in an out to receive these accolades but as yet, have not been successful. Well done on your efforts, determination and passion. A special mention to Kellyville Under 14-1 Black Girls and Castle Hill United Under 12-1’s who were crowned victors in the FNSW Champion of Champions competition. Each of these teams had managed to overthrow some tough competition to take out this highly esteemed competition.

Finally, our focus as an association for the 2016 season is to ensure we provide a high level of service and support to our members across all aspects of the game. Therefore I would like to

take this opportunity to thank all outgoing club committee members for your support over the season and extend a welcome to all newly elected club committee members. I look forward to

working with you in the new season.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

Auburn District Junior Soccer Club has continued its success on and off the field and are honoured to be named the Club of

the year for the 2015 season.

This is the third time we won this award in the last four years.

We are fortunate enough to have a good system in place to integrate our diverse Auburn community to participate and to be part of our growing and

successful club.

Our Under 13 division one and 14 division one won the Grand final.

Our under 14 represented the association and club in grand final in champions of champions unfortunately loosing the grand final.

Our senior 5, over 35/4, 14/1, 13/5,15/3 were minor premiers.

There is plenty of talent in our small sided games teams which will ensure our results on the

field will be repeated in the years to come.

Our committee has continued its commitment to improving the facilities to our members and hopefully the 2016 season we will see some more improvements.

We would like to thank the coach’s manager’s players and volunteers that have made this year another successful season.

We also like to thank all the directors of the GDSFA, Michael Briggs and Anita for the work they have done. A special thank you to all clubs, Auburn City Council and The Referee Association for working with us.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

Auburn FC had a very good year. We were able to have 5 grand final winners from the 11 teams that competed in the finals

series. The Teams that competed across the association were all happy with the level of competition and the friendship that were created

along the way.

Auburn FC committee were a stand out this year in the level of commitment and dedication that each and every committee member showed in running the

club. Well done to all committee members.

David Kilic (Club Comp secretary) was selected as the Club person of the year and this was well received by all other club members.

Our Ladies performed well throughout the year and our All Age ladies won the

competition. They played the Grand Final at Holroyd which most of the committee were present at and it was a very exciting Grand Final to say the least. Well done to our All Age

ladies.

Next year we are expecting a lot of Field upgrades at Webb’s Ave. There will be fences put up as well as a skimming of field no 3 which will give us 3 very level fields. All of these fields will be individually fenced off which will allow for a better playing experience as well as spectator comfort.

This work will hopefully be finalised by April and should be a benefit to all that play on them.

I want to thank Michael and Anita for a fantastic effort throughout the year in organising and re- organising rounds to allow for wet weather delays. Their efforts did not go unrecognised.

I want to thank all clubs in the Association for ensuring that the competitions were well manned at each Facility and also for their friendship when we met each other at your various grounds.

Auburn FC are expecting another good year next year and together I know we can progress the game from the 1.9 million members that currently play our beautiful game across the country to

well over 3 million within a few years. This will allow for infrastructure as well and finance to be put back into grass roots development that will see many of our youth play on the world stage.

I wish on behalf of AFC everyone within the GDSFA Association all the very best for the

upcoming year and hope that we continue on the path that we are here to develop the game and ensure that our Young have a sporting chance in achieving their goals and

aspirations.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

Another season is over and it has been an exciting year for Football. It started with the Socceroos winning the Asian Cup and

at the time of writing this, they were top of their qualifying group for Russia 2018. The Matildas did so well at the recent World Cup and

continue to improve their standing. Both teams have many young exciting players in their ranks and the future looks promising for Football in

Australia. The Miniroos program can only help improve player skills over the coming years!

At Baulkham Hills FC, we had another busy year. Our player numbers continue to grow and this year we were again basically full up. To accommodate our players, we

used fields 2, 3 & 4 for 5.00pm games, allowing us to accept additional senior teams. We had a total of 69 teams from U8 to over 45 and this included ladies/girls teams and

our Premier League & Super League teams. In addition, we then have our in-house U6 & U7 teams. We had a total of 1120 registered players!

With this large number of teams, we require many helpers to run the club. Thanks to our coaches, managers, age coordinators, grading committee and all who made it possible to get

our teams onto the park. We should also thank Granville for running such a large competition.

The season again suffered from bad weather, this time in the early rounds. With two rounds totally washed out and others affected by partial ground closures, the backlog of games was

difficult to manage. A total of 24 BHFC teams reached the finals. Those to bow out in the first week were U13/3, U13/5, U16/2, AAM10, O35/2, U12Girls/1 & AAL/2. Week 2 saw the finals

played and we had U12/2, U14/5, AAM12, Premier League First, 35 Ladies/1, U14 Girls/2 and U16/Girls/2 eliminated. And so we moved to the third and final week, the Grand Finals. We had 10 teams playing, including a Baulko derby in the AAM14 competition. We had 6 teams finish as runners-up. The U14/1 were unlucky to lose in a penalty shootout. U21/2 Black lost a close game, whilst U19Girls/1, O35/1 Black and AAM11 also lost and the AAM14 White lost the derby. We had two League Champion teams: U14G/2 and AAM/11, and four Grand Champion teams – Premier League Reserves, O45/1, AAM8 & AAM14 Black. Three teams – Premier League Reserves, AAM8 & AAM14 Black completed the League & Grand Champions double. Well done! And the AAM8 made it back to back championships, after winning AAM11 last year.

This year, the Premier League again came very close to winning the Challenge Shield. The

Management team of Head Coach Peter Denyer, Assistant Graeme Luck, Manager Tony Hughes and Assistant manager Mike Roar, did a great job. We also had a Super League

squad again this year. They were coached by Bill Griffiths and his assistant Kevin Robinson. Whilst we did not finish at the top, the young players definitely benefit from the

experience of Bill and Kevin. It is important for a club such as ours to have these senior teams which young players can aspire to join. Well done guys!

Grounds were again an issue this season. The condition of Ted Horwood pre-

Season was a disgrace. Council was forced to close the grounds to football during February & March and seed the fields with Rye Grass in an attempt to remedy

the situation. This did help greatly and at season’s end fields 2 & 3 were in reasonable condition. Field 4 needs some serious rehabilitation in the off-

season and we have been told field 1 is to be leveled, drainage installed and the cricket pitch re-laid over the summer. We look forward to these

improvements. We are also looking at how we can improve our facilities and are talking with Council about improvements to field 5. It

is good to see that the grounds will get some relief with summer soccer being moved elsewhere.

All clubs rely on volunteers to run them. Baulkham Hills is No different. Our Club is well run, with a very hard

working Executive in place. Vice President Andrew Moulds is heavily involved in the Coaching Committee, and his co-

ordination of the Grading Committee has helped develop our players and put the teams into the correct grades. Andrew does many

other tasks within the club. Andrew has indicated that due to work commitments, he will be standing down as Vice President. I thank him for

his hard work and great support. But he will still be around the club next year. Secretary Tony Hughes does an amazing job. Besides the Secretarial duties,

he also looks after the training and ground allocations, attends Council meetings and also the Sports Club meetings. His efforts are much appreciated. More on

Tony later! Treasurer Steve Durante goes about his duties quietly and efficiently, as he has done for 15 years. Our finances remain sound. Registrar Kevin Robinson does

a sterling job getting all of our players registered, ID’s collected and cards issued. He also finds time to manage the Super League, coach his grand sons’ team and help with

line-marking! Lucky he is retired! Competition Secretary Greg Loundar puts in a huge amount of time during the season. From managing each week’s game schedules, advising

changes, collecting and submitting results, liaising with other clubs and organizing catch up games – all part of his weekly duties. Greg has indicated he will be standing down at

season’s end and we thank him for his fantastic efforts over the last few years. He always has a smile on his face, even though sometimes he has difficulty getting results from some teams!

Well done Greg. The Executive do a great job and I thank them for their input. It is an honour to work with this team!

Besides the Executive, there are many on the extended committee who help run the club. Cath Hughes, as Equipment Officer and Roundball Editor puts in many, many hours during the season. And her work continues at season’s end getting equipment returned and stock ordered for the next season. Life member Terry Minton is another who puts in many hours. As Assistant Secretary he prepares and issues Minutes of our club meetings, maintains a list of club and team contacts and most importantly is at the grounds every week marking lines and getting the fields ready for the weekend games, then assisting on Saturdays with miniroos. Thanks Terry. A few

others stepped up to help with the field marking. Thanks to Kevin Robinson, Mark Honeman, Anthony Strbk and Brian Zann.

Many others also put in time to run the club. These include Bec Loundar (Member Protection),

Greg McLoughlin (Trials Co-Coordinator), Mick Hollins (Webmaster), Jacob McGaulley (Ladies Co-Coordinator), Steve Sarlog (Mini Roos Coordinator), Luke Anderson, Keith Pearce & Craig

Philipp (Granville Delegates), Lisa Meehan (Team Photos), Salena Cocks (Presentation Co- Coordinator) and Rhonda Philipp (Meat Raffles). Lisa is stepping down next year, so we

Thank her for her efforts. Perry Neckerauer again conducted his class on how to use the defibrillator. Thanks Perry, it was most informative and should be attended by a

representative of every team. You never know when it may be needed - be it players, coaches, parents, grandparents or even referees!

The Trivia night was again a great success. It had to be moved to Castle Hill Bowling

Club to accommodate all those wishing to attend. Thanks to the organizing committee, MC Andrew Moulds and all who supported the night through

donations and attendance.

There are a few people who deserve special mention. Life Member Jim Moreland has again been a tower of strength. He has organized referee

courses, coordinated the referees at Ted Horwood each weekend, from Mini Roos through to seniors and then refereed games during

the day. Jim is passionate about refereeing and we thank him for his efforts week in and week out! His energy and

enthusiasm are amazing!

The canteen this year has been a great success. Thanks to Cath & Tony Hughes who took over running the

canteen. Just one more job for our club! Every week they are there quietly going about their work. They are helped by a

number of people, including Donna Moulds and Toni Bray.

The Moulds family was all heavily involved this year with many tasks! Thanks to Donna, Andrew, Bailey and Josh. And thanks to many, many

more that helped during the season – canteen duties, ground set up and meat raffle each week.

Then there was ground set up prior to the season and removal of the posts etc. at

season’s end. When you look at what is required to run a club, it is a huge task. Well done Baulko!

At Baulko, we are fortunate to have the support Bankstown Sports. Marie Kanaan and

Alex Clarke, as well as the new Baulkham Hills Sports Manager Tom Wyskiel assist us with provision of facilities, assistance with running our club and most importantly financial

assistance. It is much appreciated and it enables us to keep our registration fees down. We would also like to thank the previous sports Club Manager Huw Bennett for his support over

the years. In return, the Sports Club asks for all senior players, coaches, managers and parents of juniors to be members of the Club. It only costs a small amount for membership and you get that back with birthday and other awards points. Our Constitution requires all seniors to be members of the club. Your support is expected.

I would also like to thank all of our club sponsors, both on the website and in the Roundball.

Your support assists us greatly.

Season 2016 promises much. The Sydney Hills Football Association is well advanced in planning for the competition and at this stage looks good for the start of the competition in 2016. The Constitution and By Laws are well advanced, the Competition structure has been set & the competition management is being finalized. A Hills based competition will give the Association an opportunity to run a competition which focusses not just on games, but game development and a chance to work with a single council for ground improvements and usage. There will be some \ initial pain, with lesser numbers of teams and the possibility of a non FNSW sanctioned

association, but within a few seasons there will be a strong competition. We look forward to an exciting 2016. Past BHFC President Graeme Luck is involved as a Committee Member of the SHFA and we thank him for his work.

In closing, I thank everyone for their support this season. I am proud to be involved with

such a great club. Enjoy the summer season and I look forward to seeing everyone back at Baulko in 2016!

GDSFA 2015 Annual Report Page 31 of 94

PRESIDENTS REPORT

It has been an exciting 41st year for the Knights and my pleasure to provide my first Presidents report.

Last year we completed the succession plan for our Executive and it

would be remiss not to acknowledge the substantial efforts of our previous Directors Craig Gough, Peter Emerson, Gerald Baron, Garry Price and Ivan

Stepic. These guys steered the Club for so many years and put us in such a strong position for the future. It is rather unique that a Club strategically planned

to refresh its Board and this process was done so positively and in a manner that transferred all of the institutional knowledge and expertise of the previous

officeholders.

Club Growth

In 2015 our Players grew 35% from 534 in 2014 to 720 this year. The growth was a result of popularity of our sport, the reputation our Club has in the community and the recognised

value that the Knights offers its Members.

One of the most important benefits of increased player numbers is that for the first time we have been able to offer multiple teams in the majority of age groups which results in more playing

options for our Members. This benefit cannot be understated as in previous years we have lost players when there was only one team or no teams in a division.

It is expected that the growth will continue in 2016 as our retention rate increases and we bring on board new Members in our juniors and female groups.

Participation, Communication & Conduct

Over the year there was a focus on three key areas of Participation, Communication & Conduct. The rationale was that we needed to focus on these areas to ensure that our family & community values are maintained while we grow.

Conduct

We eliminated the word Volunteer from our vocabulary and replaced it with Participation. The reason for is was we wanted our Members to participate in lieu of being required to Volunteer.

In 2015 there were over 160 designated roles where Members participated in operating our

Club. These roles included functional responsibilities as well as Age Managers, Coaches & Managers. In addition, every team was rostered into the Canteen or field operations.

Having so many people involved shared the responsibilities and work across the years

and resulted in Members having a real sense of belongingness to the Knights.

Communication

This year the Club website was updated and we established a Facebook & Twitter presence. These three were integrated to incorporate a more efficient

means of wet weather notification and were used to share information amongst our Members.

Page 32: Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association Inc · Two (2) Nominated Affiliated Club Representatives ... U/10 & U/11 53.26 12.61 2.76 0.77 12.60 82.00 $7.45 27.97 ... Attachment

Conduct

With so many new teams this season there was an emphasis at the pre-season Coaches & Managers meeting of the expected

conduct of our Officials, Players & Spectators. We took an unapologetic approach of zero tolerance to conduct that was against our

Code of Conduct and the values of our Club. The clear communication of the Club’s expectation this year resulted in minimal incidents this year and a positive experience for Players.

Teams & Results

The Knights fielded 18 in-house U6 & U7 teams, 24 U8 to U11 teams playing small

sided games format, 12 U12 to U17 junior teams, 3 All Age Men teams, 4 over 35 teams, 2 female teams and our Kickaroos group.

Two of our competition teams were Minor Premiers with eleven making through to the finals.

Our 13/1, 14/3, 17/2 & AAM/12 made it to the grand final with our AAM/12’s winning the grand final!

Kickaroos

The Knights Kickaroos have significantly grown this year with almost 40 players participating in our in house program. It was a year of highlights with participation in a Macarthur Magic Gala Day, a Football for All Gala Day and a Gala Day that we held ourselves at Bella Vista for our kids and four other Clubs.

What is particularly pleasing is that the Kickaroos are not separate to our regular teams but rather woven through the fabric of our Club. This is demonstrated with five Kickaroos players training with our competition teams and the friendships that have developed between these players.

The Future

The Knights are in a great position for 2016 and we are all looking forward to the new season.

With the growth that we are experiencing we have an ongoing field capacity issue but we are confident that this can be favourably resolved with Council so we can continue to provide a great

environment for our Members.

PRESIDENTS REPORTS

Season 2015 was a successful year for the Rockets in many ways. We changed our club name to now reflect the growing

acceptance of football in Australia.

In 2015 the Club celebrated its 50th anniversary, having formed as Hills Independentin 1966. The Rockets is one of the oldest Clubs within the

Granville District Football Association. This is an incredible achievement for a club run by volunteers.

As part of celebration of this milestone, the Club held a Junior Gala Day in July and

a Gala Dinner in August. The Gala Dinner was attended by a number of past and present committee members, parents and players.

Player numbers increased significantly during 2015. This was the case across all age

categories. Particularly pleasing was the increase of AAM teams, which grew from 3 teams in 2014 to 8 teams in 2015.

The increase player numbers caused difficulties with field allocations thus starting our last

game on Saturdays at 5pm and moving the Fun Skills and In-house programs to Fridays, which in itself was very popular with both parents and kids.

On field performance was outstanding with a record number of teams reaching the semi-finals.

Season 2015 Season 2014

No. of Teams in Competition 41 31

No of Teams as League Winners 4 2

No. of Teams reaching Semi finals 18 5

No. of Teams reaching Grand Final 9 5

No. of Teams becoming Grand Champions 4 1

Congratulations to our U12/3, U13/2, U17/3 and the Ladies Premier League for becoming Grand Champions.

The Club is engaged with the Hill Shire Council with a view to securing additional playing fields

to deal with increased numbers.

As in past years, our culture of contributing to the community saw strong participation from our juniors at the ANZAC Day Memorial Service. Senior players and coaches participated in the dawn service.

The Excelsior Challenge Trophy, the annual one-match competition between the GDSFA

Premier League teams from Baulkham Hills FC and the Rockets to celebrate community soccer raised $8,500 for the Autism Spectrum Australia Charity. A

special thanks to the Baulkham Hills FC for their ongoing support.

We continuted with our inhouse development of junior referees. This program headed by Nick Rugg was able to train our juniors to handle the weekend U9,

U10 & U11 SSG games.

Non of this is possible without the generous support of our principal sponsors, the Castle Hill RSL.

A special thanks to our tireless and hardworking committee

without whose efforts none of this would have been possible.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

The 2015 season has been one of great successes, and also about laying some strong foundations for many seasons

ahead. There has been the usual busy 18 rounds of competition football, plus trial games for most and finals for some.

Our on field successes are summarised below:

Gala Day Trophies (Under 9 Red Black)

9 Teams through to Grand Finals

Teams Grand Final Winners (16/1 Mixed, 16/1 Girls, 18/1 Mens and All Age Ladies Division 2)

Invitation for 4 Teams to represent GDSFA in Champion of Champion Tournament (12/1, 13/1, 16/1, 18/1).

I am very proud to be part of this great club and working with our great committee

which continues to do a fantastic job each week. Our club continues to set the standard of how to present itself to our members and it is always pleasing to receive positive feedback of admiration for being very well organised and administered. This would not be

possible without the efforts of our volunteer committee and I would like to thank you all for your generous amount of time and effort that you all put in.

I would also like to acknowledge our Life Members and the role they continue to play with

CHU, making special note to those “Lifers” who are still active around the grounds today. Many of these people have assisted us during 2015; Bob Kershaw, David Milne, Mick Pawelko, Col McGowan, Pam Kershaw and Bob Bowen. Also many thanks those Season 2015 committee people who are not returning next year.

The club had over 1300 registered players in 2015 which is up by over 100 players on last year. Our Seniors and Ladies age groups were the marked difference, although our strength remains, as always, in our Junior age range.

One area of growth for next season is to run a Special Needs program, which is being investigated by Gerard Van Goor. This is an exciting development which I am sure we all

look forward to being involved with.

There were many projects undertaken and funded in Season 2015:

1. New Full Sized Goal Posts on Field 1 2. Over sowing of rye grass to Fields 1, 2, 3 and 6 3. Upgrade of Canteen 1 facilities, gas storage and food serving areas 4. Reorganisation of club office – new furniture, copier and computer

equipment 5. New fully branded and sponsored BBQ gazebo to Canteen 1 area 6. New BBQs – to both Fields 1 and Field 6 7. Procurement of over 1000 new balls and other playing equipment 8. New Funskills and Under 7 playing strip 9. New Funskills and Under 7 goal posts 10. Upgraded bathrooms to council building for on top fields

The club once again ran its summer academy from September to

December which has received great feedback and provides education to our players. Funskills also enjoyed the services of

a Coaching Mentor this year and it is recommended that this continues and is increased to other age groups.

We also made some improvements to our Ladies program this year, recognising that Ladies is a growth

area for the club. And a very competitive area – they brought home 50% of the total Grand Finalists awards. The

wonderful Over 35 Ladies taught us that winning isn’t everything, rather enjoying the game, the on-field music and of course, the

after party. This year, CHU successfully hosted the Ladies Semi Finals, where we offered a real celebratory atmosphere; again the envy

of other clubs. Look out for Pink Socks round next season!

It was pleasing to see all our teams having fun, being very competitive and doing well this season and I would like to thank our two sub-committees for their

hard work; both the Grading and the Social Committees.

Thank you to all Coaches, Managers and other volunteers who have committed and dedicated their valuable time throughout the 2015 season. To all of our sponsors, including our major sponsor, Castlehaven Realty, we thank you dearly for your valuable

support without which the club could not provide the services and facilities that it does.

I would like to encourage the following initiatives to continue in Season 2016:

Increase our development programs for players, goal keepers and coaches

Be vigilant that other sporting bodies are actively chasing Fred Caterson Reserve – big issue now

Active participation with council and the association

Promotion of sponsorship and fundraising to enable us to continue to offer a high standard of equipment and facilities

Finally, congratulations to our wonderful committee of volunteers. I know that my family has made a good many friends at CHUFC over my 30 year involvement with the Club, so for your friendship, support, your selfless time and magnanimous effort, I thank you all.

COMPETITIION SECRETARYS REPORT

DURC Soccer registration numbers were higher this year than in 2014 (313, up from 259). This 20% increase was a welcome

surprise to the DURC committee. The increase in registration numbers was largely attributed to the arrival of three unexpected AAM

Teams and a slight increase in Junior Teams.

A comparison between the number of teams that were able to form between 2014 and 2015 is as below.

2014 2015

SSG (U6 to U11) 16 16 Junior (U12 to U16) 3 4 Senior (21s to O45s) 3 5 Ladies (LPL) 1 1

The number of SSG Teams remained stable and the Foal category (U5) ran once again to

provide an entry path into U6 SSG. In 2015 the Foal (U5) age group was once again run by Afton Bianchi who was assisted by Georgie Martic. In 2015 the DURC Foals numbered 12 2015 saw the introduction of a Junior Competition Secretary, Afton Bianchi. Afton was able to take an enormous amount of pressure from my role as Senior Competition Secretary. Working

with her was a delight and her backup was very much appreciated. Afton not only coached the Foals but played for LPL and managed the U8 Green (Black).

At the end of the Main Competition, the U12/4’s, U13/4’s, AAM/14 (White), AAM/15 and the SL/R entered the Finals series. This was an excellent position for DURC to be in at the start of the Finals series. Although DURC were unsuccessful in securing a Grand Final, 2016 should see many more Teams with success stories eventuate.

2015 will be remembered by me not as a year of results, tables and goal differences but as the year that our Club Secretary, Manager and player of the O35/4s and Assistant Canteen Manager Ashokkumar Ariyaratnam sadly passed away. Ash passed away on Curtis Oval 2, Saturday the 18th of April (Round 2) at the start of the second half of the match.

2015 is my third year of involvement with the DURC committee and I would like to thank the committee and the DURC coaches, managers, players and parents for their support throughout

the year.

Specifically, I would like to thank and acknowledge the following Committee members that I worked with in 2015 (in no particular order);

John Forbes (Management Committee Member) for his experience and in running the

Yearly photo shoots and arranging for the trophies. Both of these events are problematic and require much diligence. In 2015 John was awarded an Appreciation Award for his

assistance to DURC over many years.

Raff and Afton Bianchi, for running the Trials prior to the start of the Main Competition, setting up the SSG Teams and always being there for advice.

Our new canteen manager, Janelle O’Shea for her support (and many cups of coffee and cinnamon toast) on

cold Saturday mornings. Mid-season, Janelle and Mark Dunn began offering a morning BBQ to players, parents and visitors.

The income drawn from this initiative provided a tremendous increase to club funds. This was particularly noted during the two rounds

of the Finals series hosted by DURC. In 2015 the BBQ was manned by the Senior Teams.

Raff (DURC President) for his enthusiasm, guidance and support throughout the

season. There are many that know soccer, I do not know anyone that knows as much as he.

Edward Brookton (Registrar) for enforcing a “no pay” no play policy at the start of the

season. This initiative saved countless hours of back tracking through records to establish financial compliance and also brought to light the implication issue of playing without

insurance.

Steve and Danielle Comer (Treasurers) for once again helping with setting up the financial side of the online self registration system and their ongoing financial support.

Karen Banks (Netball Comp Sec) for her continually bubbly enthusiasm.

Andrea Martic for taking on the role of the Gear Steward and raising the level of professionalism in the role to a new level.

John Kemp and Mark Hutchison for their enthusiasm and assistance during the Finals Series and on being the Granville Rep.

Greg Berriman (Cricket Comp Sec) and his sons, David and Thomas, who have again maintained the line-marking of all the fields at Curtis.

Mark Dunn who was there every morning before 7:15am to direct and help set up nets. His continued commitment to DURC and the community at large is always noted and appreciated.

Andrew Taylor who joined the committee later in the season to help with sponsorship in 2015. This is a critical task and Andrew’s enthusiasm for the job is clearly noted.

Amy Tompsett for taking some of my weekly emails / information and feeding it through to

Facebook. As well as David Astalosh, Mathew Woodhouse and Janelle’s husband, Michael Bailey.

2016 should hopefully see all players, coaches and managers and new faces return to

DURC to bolster our player numbers and field Teams in more age groups.

Strong uptake at registration day back in February 2015, additional age groups and new teams to the club included two U6s

and U12s and U15s teams both division 1, AAM9s and O45s.

Unfortunately, the start of the season was disrupted by wet weather which impacted all clubs with catch-up games. The periodic wet weather continued

during the regular season resulting in the cancellation of our junior gala day and also unable to host a cross country fixture at George Kendall for over 1200

people and would have been a great revenue injector for our canteen operation and club.

For a relatively small club of 220 active players our teams performed very well during

the season as out of 12 competitive teams we had 6 teams qualifying for semi-finals. Our U18/2s and O35/3s both secured a minor premiership at the conclusion of the regular

season. Grand Final Day was a great day out for the club with the red and white supporter group being able to celebrate 3 grand champions all at the same venue (Webbs Ave) and

the premiers for EUS season 2015 was our U15/3s, U18/2s and U21/2s.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

I have been the President of the club since 2000 and every year I find another reason to love what I do. Whether it is the

influence of the Wanderers, or the Socceroos being crowned Asian Champions, or the fact that Parramatta CBD is growing so rapidly, this

season we saw the club grow to the largest membership in my time at the helm.

This season we had 17 teams with the mini roos teams just exploding in

numbers:

2 x under 6’s,

2 x under 7’s,

under 8’s,

2 x under 9’s,

under 10’s,

under 11’s,

under 12’s division 4,

under 13’s division 5,

under 14’s division 5,

under 15’s division 2,

under 17’s division 3,

all Age 11’s and

over 35’s division 4.

This is so encouraging and wonderful to see the community embrace our club. And the best and most exciting news is that we expect the trend to continue for a number of years to come as Parramatta can expect up to 7,000 new units to be completed within the next 5 years!

Of course with such growth will come the growing pain challenges that we must manage together

to achieve the best outcomes for our children. A big challenge will always be to find parents who will volunteer to assist with the running of the club and to find quality coaches.

To ensure on field success, which does not necessarily mean being crowned Grand Champions

every year, but rather to ensure the development of our children into better players and better people (good leadership, commitment and sportsmanship), we need more coaches and better coaching. By saying this I am in no way demeaning the efforts of the parent coaches that

volunteered this past season, but I am challenging those same parents to learn more and become better coaches, especially the first year coaches. This is our single biggest

challenge.

Strong coaching was clearly evident this seasons and resulted in the under 12’s being crowned Grand Champions in a gripping grand final. This was truly a game that I

will remember where the glory of victory could easily have been swapped for the misery of defeat. This team refused to lose!!

Congratulations must also go to the Over 35’s (though most are actually over

45 years of age) who finished Minor Premiers and Grand Champions! Many of the team have played for our club previously and for as much as

25 years!

The under 13’s had coaching issues and once rectified mid season, they just missed the semi finals. The under

14’s only had 3 players that had played club soccer previously and this team sadly lost interest late in the season. The under

15’s lost a tense final after just missing out on the minor premiership. The under 17’s lost in the semi finals and the All Age 11’s

had too many draws to make the semi finals.

Special mention goes to our Treasurer Vince Wyatt who celebrated being with our club for 50 consecutive years!

Finally at our club AGM, the members overwhelming resolved to not change our

name but to keep our club know as Granville Waratah Soccer Football Club – the oldest soccer football club in Western Sydney – since 1901 (at least)!!

We are still building something special at Robin Thomas Reserve and expect better

things next season.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

First and foremost, I would like to thank the 2015 Greystanes FC committee. There are trying times during each season

however, as a group we pull together to ensure the season runs smoothly for our members of which there are many.

Memberships hit a record high in the 2015 season with player

registrations increasing by 25% over the previous season and just falling short of 800 players. This increase was spread across all age groups and

hence the reason for the new Under 7’s field.

In the Saturday mixed competition we were represented in all age groups with the exception of under 18’s and Premier League.

In the female competition, we were represented in half of all the age groups available.

On behalf of the Greystanes FC 2015 committee, thank you to all age co-ordinators,

coaches, managers and players for what I believe was a successful year. In the 2015 season half of The Greystanes FC competitive teams progressed to the finals series with the

following teams finishing the season as semi-finalists :-

U13-2’s

U14-2’s

AAM 9

O45-1’s

Super League Reserve Grade Teams that finished the season as finalists were :-

AA 8

AAL 11

Ladies Premier League

Teams that finished the season as grandfinalists were :-

U15-2’s

U21-1 Black

Super League First Grade

U12-2 Girls

The only team to be crowned grand champions for the 2015 season were our U16-3’s. This team along with our U12-2 Girls were also League Winners.

Special mention both the Super League squad and the U21-1 Blacks. The U21-1

Blacks progressed to the semi-final of Champion of Champions and the Super League squad not only earned themselves promotion into the Premier League

but also were the winners of the Tom Newhouse Cup which is awarded to the best performing squad of the season.

During the 2015 season, we were fortunate to have 3 of our young

members offer the services to referee miniroo matches. Thank you to Madeliene Soyer, Olivia Topic and Dennis Lapic. The committee

greatly appreciated your services as well as many coaches and managers who would normally have to perform this duty.

SECRETARIES REPORT

In Guildford McCredie Uniting Soccer Club’s seventeenth season we were able to field five additional teams on our 2014

numbers and the second most number of teams that we have ever fielded. Again we entered our older junior teams and Ladies into the

competitions of the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association We would like to thank GDSFA for their support and the competition that they

have provided.

Our GDSFA teams enjoyed their competitions with the 15/2s and AAL/3s both qualifying for semi finals but the Ladies being unable to repeat last season’s

heroics. The 17/3s continue to enjoy each other’s company and recorded some good results but their friendship, good coaching and love of the sport and club keep

them coming back regardless of the results.

Three former McCredie juniors continued to play professional football in 2015 – Mohammed Rahimi in Singapore, Martin Lo with the WS Wanderers and Tony Lo in College football in the USA.

In December we were lucky enough to be named the Hyundai Goals for Grassroots, club for

January. This meant that we received $1000 from Hyundai plus another $1000 for every goal that Wanderers scored when they played in January against Melbourne. In December our club was filmed training and the U8s, 9s and 11s put in a spirited effort, with some players and

coaches being interviewed and a clip being televised. Coaches, managers and their kids also received free tickets to the Wanderers match – we cheered extra loud when we scored - $1000 for us! We were interviewed on ground, shown on the big screen, televised and the players had an opportunity to meet with ex McCredie and Wanderers player – Martin Lo at half time. All this was a great thrill.

The club’s executive was elected in November and I would like to thank all the committee, Peter, Dorothy, Carolynne, Ian, Hendrika, Peter, Phil and Robert for the support and

work they did during the year. Remember – no one is paid for their service to our club.

Registration days are the first two Saturdays in February at Granville Park between 9am and 11am. If everybody brings a friend we will double our team numbers!

See you all in 2016.

TECHNICAL DIRECTORS REPORT

Hills United Football Club entered 6 teams in the GDSFA for the 2015 season. 2 teams in under 9, under 10, and under 11’s

all in division 1. In previous seasons the club has run these age groups through the FNSW SAP pathway, however due to the

relegation of the senior program from NPL2 into State League 1 the SAP licence was removed. Brumbies development ideologies remained the

same, so the obvious decision was to enter into the GDSFA.

Brumbies still managed to acquire an experienced and suitably qualified coaching staff, with some young coaches mixed into the mix. We had some

coaches that were undertaking their first ever teams and some coaches learning the ropes as assistants. These coaches all flourished and will be back ready for more in

2016.

Our teams all followed the direction of the National Curriculum, using the model sessions as a starting point for all sessions. With a clear direction of playing attractive football.

Some days this was more obvious than others, but overall in comparison with the football played across all age groups we participated in, we were successful at this. As the season progressed we started to add to the playing direction, as the coaches and the players got use

to our style. We moved away from corners that were crossed into the box, we moved away from lining up direct shots at goal from free kicks, we insisted that all teams passed out from

the goalkeeper, maximising the use of the “one touch free zone” from goal kicks. At times this did mean we conceded goals, as some teams didn't always follow this rule as strictly as we did.

However, it was a great learning opportunity for our young boys and girls that they cannot assume they will have the time every time. We also started to add the concept of offside to our under 10 and 11 players. Encouraging defenders to move up the field toward the halfway line quickly, and encouraging our forwards to stay close to the line of opposition defenders. Trying to be realistic to an 11v11 game for the players development when they get to the appropriate age group. The biggest battle we fought here was to convince the players of this idea, when they were seeing other teams score goals because their striker was standing next to our GK. Again, this was a great learning experience and think all players increased their learning across the season in areas they wouldn't have expected too. The results was never as important as

providing opportunities for these players to develop their football knowledge and skills in readiness for stepping into football on the bigger stage (11v11, and hopefully in a

representative division) as seamlessly as possible.

I was very happy with the delivery of the football plan across the 3 age groups. This has provided us with a solid base to now spring forward into 2016. We have recently been re-

awarded a SAP licence from FNSW. I can confirm that because of that Hills United will not be participating in GDSFA in 2016, hopefully we will be back one day with additional

teams in local association football. The involvement in GDSFA has been an excellent pathway for us into SAP. We have been able to continue most of our coaching staff into SAP and will endeavour to do so with our players, although we will have to go

through the trial process later in November.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank GDSFA for their support in 2015 and the opportunity to participate in their competitions. This allowed us to

continue working with junior players when our representative option was removed, and for this we will always be grateful.

I would also like to thank the committee at Hills United. They were always there to support anyone that needed

it, and put in thousands of hours. In particular Dave Wall and Paul Raad who would be at Russell Reserve home game to

open up and get the venue set for the days football, managing the canteen, and locking up after all players and parents had left. Before

then moving on to watch our senior teams battle out in the State League.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

In 2015 we fielded 16 teams at Holroyd Rangers. Our teams were comprised of 11 Competition teams and 5 Mini Roos teams.

Highlights and events of the year:

3 teams into semi-finals

2 teams played in Grand Finals

No teams finished first and no teams finished last which indicates we got our team gradings correct

This year we acknowledge 10 players for having completed 5 years playing with our club. We also acknowledge a further 6 players for having completed 10 years service with Holroyd

Rangers and 3 players who have achieved 15 years of service with us.

Our U10s team enjoyed participating in the GDSFA gala day.

A few negatives:

We lost past committee member Melaina Cook early this year to cancer

Several of our players suffered serious injuries

We had far too many red and yellow cards this year

On a positive note:

We ran a very successful ‘Pull on Your Socks’ fundraising campaign to support the McGrath Foundation and to raise money for cancer treatment

We successfully hosted Ladies Grand Finals at Guildford West Sportsground and thanks to all the committee members and other volunteers who helped during the day

Club presentation day was very well attended

2016 is our 50th anniversary as a club and we are keen to celebrate this in many ways.

Thanks to all the referees from this year, that is the official Granville referees, as well as those People who stepped in to referee when an official was not present, including volunteer

referees for Mini Roos Games.

In 2015 all registrations were completed on-line using My Football Club. It is anticipated that all registrations in 2016 will be done the same way.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

To our valued members,

As my first year as President for the Mighty Kellyville Kolts, I had some big shoes to fill. There are a hand full of people in this club that

really love what they do and are always willing to help no matter what needs to be done. I have gotten to see this first hand and I must say I am

humbled and honored to be working alongside these great bunch of people. In saying this, I would like to thank our wonderful committee members for all

their hard work and commitment this year. It takes a lot of time and effort to run a club this size and this year was a biggest number of members ever recorded in the

history of Kellyville Kolts.

Our volunteers are what make this club and without them we would not have a club that operates at such a high level and supports all our members. Our volunteers are made up of committee members, life members, parents, guardians and some of our older age

groups that give up their time to help fulfill needed roles to allow the club to operate successfully. On behalf of our committee we would like to thank you all for your time and

efforts that you have gracefully given up.

I would like to mention a number of people this year who have gone far and beyond their regular duties for the sake of the club. Firstly, Keith Westley and Bob Harrold for taking the time to collate and generate an accurate report and allow us to see a clear perspective insight into the possible future and the direction of the club. Secondly, Greg and Sharon Buchanan and their 3 great daughters Tasmin, Kalya and Ella for all their hard work in organizing,

distributing and collecting the jerseys and the equipment, this by no means is an easy task. Kaye Wallace for all her time spent in the canteen and making sure that all volunteers had filled in the necessary Child Protection Forms. Louise Bowden for her efforts in making sure all our financial requirements were up to date including invoices and reports. Wolfgang Betker our resident registrar who spent timeless hours sorting and filtering through the clubs registrations and ensuring all members and teams were correct for the comp to start. Our ladies coordinators Danyelle Griffiths and Sharon Buchanan what a magnificent job you have done with growing and encouraging our girls this year to do their absolute best. Donna Renton for organizing the

trophies and ensuring they were all accounted for which was my job but due to my work commitments I was struggling to keep up, she did a phenomenal job all on her own. Keith Westley for his tireless efforts in coordinating the competition and informing us of updates and

requirements every week also for being the one nearly every week in setting up the fields with the volunteers. Also our Sunday setup and canteen team who without any complaining

have fulfilled their duties at each home game. Greg and Sharon Buchanan, Danyelle Griffiths, Dee Jonsson, Kaye Wallace, Steve Prattent and Keith Westley. A special thank

you to our new committee members this year for taking on their roles and fulfilling them to the best of their abilities, what a great job you have done. Scott Tyler, Louise Bowden,

Yasmin Binning, Paul Attard and Lou Piperata. Also a big thank you to our age coordinators for all their hard work throughout the year. Last but not the least these

committee members who are the back bone and a wealth of information and advice in assisting me with due process and their experience was invaluable, Steve

Prattent, Peter Belcastro, Keith Westley, Dee Jonsson, Bob Harrold, Greg Roberts, David Duggan and Bill Renton.

A very special mention to our Super Soccer Comp which is organized by

Bob, Natalie and Carlya Harrold. The comp is now in its fourth year and it is for our players with special needs. We as a club are privileged to

have these amazing players on our grounds giving it their all every week for this great sport.

This year we have had an amazing season with the introduction of our grading policy and the implantation of the

grading process in allowing our Prems and our over 35’s in grading our players. I believe as a result of this, we have had 9

teams in the grand final and we son 8 grand finals out of 9. This is the best result in the history of the mighty Kolts.

Prior to joining the committee, I had no idea what was involved in running a

club and what it took in organizing the weekly task to have a great completion. I now know the type of people it takes for this great club to continue in its

success. I encourage our members to take the time to appreciate what our club has to offer their children and all our members and to keep on volunteering in the

future for the sake of the club and this great game.

The 2015 season was another successful season for our club on and off the field

The Under 14/4 performed well competing with their opposition playing

some very good football and taking out the Grand Final following a penalty shootout.

The Under 15/2 side were playing up a division this season and found the level

of opposition just t5hat much better. They proved that they could hold their own competing well against teams at the top of the table but for some reason struggled

against other teams

Our committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Anita Tinker and Michael Briggs for their help and support throughout the season.

Lidcombe Waratah's have had a great season in Miniroos fielding more teams than ever before and thanks to the

Socceroos wonderful Asian Cup win we had more than enough U6's and 7's to be able to play these age groups in house for the first time.

The rest of our Miniroos played in the Granville Cluster and all had fun and

learn, the most two most important things in kids football. We also fielded teams in U12,14, 15 and 17's as well as 3 AAM, an O35, O45 and AAL and we

enjoyed moderate success in the season with the Under 15/4's becoming undefeated Grand Champions and Minor Premiers.

As always a club would not be able to function without it's volunteers for which we are

thankful. Our most important volunteer is young Billy Wilson, who at 87 is still first at the park every Saturday before anyone else to open up for us. Billy has been involved in

GDSFA for nearly 70 years as a player, parent, coach, manager, committee member at numerous clubs and is to be saluted for his dedication to our game.

But all volunteers do a wonderful job from cooking on the BBQ, marking lines or putting up

nets, coaching or managing and we as clubs should do more to thank them, for without them we would not have clubs. Finally I'd like to wish all a restful break before it all starts again in a few weeks. We move into

2016 with an interesting period ahead of us. I know that the remaining clubs in GDSFA can rise to the occasion and field more players and hopefully the Board will take on board the suggestions that come from the FNSW Working Party All the best in our game

Another successful year for Merrylands Soccer Football Club with over 550 players registered across 44 teams. The dedication

of our committee members, coaches and managers continues to provide the youth of Merrylands with the facilities to participate in football

and hopefully instil a sense of pride in this great club.

MSFC fielded 26 teams in the SSF format, Under 6 to Under 11. It is great to see this amount of children taking up this sport and learning not only the skills of

football, but also understanding the strength of team work, the joy of friendship and building pride in our great club.

We also fielded 18 competition teams from U/12’s through to U/21’s playing in both the

mixed and ladies competitions. 10 of our teams finished in the top four, with four of these teams playing in the grand finals. The teams all played well in the grand finals and

should be commended on their effort and composure. Our 17/2 achieved Grand Champion status.

Congratulations to all our teams in the 2015 competition on and off the field.

Grand Champions: 17/2 Grand Finalists: 14/5, 16/1 & 18/1 Finalists: 12/3, 15/1, 15/3 & 17/3 Semi-Finalists: 18/2 & 16G/1 WHT

This year the committee has raised money through sponsorship. We thank the sponsors for their support and look forward to your continued support in 2016. It is only through the on-going sponsorship that the committee can continue to provide football facilities at an affordable price.

The committee would like to thank all the coaches, managers and their families. It wouldn’t be possible to field so many teams without this group of people. The time put in for training during the week and games on Saturday and for the ladies, Sunday, is appreciated and we look forward to

your continued dedication next season.

I would like to recognise the tireless efforts of the 2015 committee, who volunteer their time to make our club better. A vast majority of the committee no longer have children playing at the

club but continue to dedicate their time in support of the club and to provide for our players. On behalf of all the players, parents, coaches and managers, I thank all committee members

for their commitment and dedication.

We at Merrylands SFC extend our thanks and appreciation to Michael, Anita, and the GDSFA Directors, GDSRA and its management committee and all the affiliated Clubs.

To all players, parents, coaches, trainers and managers, please remember that

Merrylands Soccer Football Club is your club. We are always looking for people with fresh ideas to join the committee or just simply to help out on game day. Don’t forget

the AGM will be held on Monday 2nd November at The Joe Grubba Pavilion at 7:00pm.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

Firstly, thank you to all the players, parents, family members, managers and coaches who helped to make 2015 such a

successful year for Newington Gunners. It was great to see so many new faces in Coaching, Managerial and Committee positions this year.

With the assistance of AYFI the Gunners fielded 37 teams including 11

teams in the top grades of the junior competitions. This was also the first year that the club has fielded a Premier league squad, and the first year the club has

fielded a team in the top grade for AA men’s.

It has been another successful year with six teams making it to the finals series. The U12/4 and AA5’s bowing out in the first week of the finals. The U16/4’s and 18/1’s

bowed out in the Finals, and both the AA8’s and AA12’s both representing the club in the Grand Final, but narrowly missing out on becoming Premiers.

As a young club there is still a lot of work to do, we have made some great progress in the

last few years with increased numbers in both senior and junior ranks. We now have representation in the top grades across both junior and senior football, but with that comes more work and processes that need to be implemented and as such we need more

representation on the committee to help grow the Newington Gunners.

The club year in year out is helped out by some wonderful businesses in the area through sponsorships. Please support these sponsors whenever you can, and remember that many have been supporting the Club and Community for three or more years and certainly deserve our support.

Please look out for the AGM date and lend a hand to make 2016 an even better year for your local club.

50th Birthday Season launch, 50th Birthday Junior Presentation and Fun day and the 50th Anniversary Dinner. All

massively successful functions the club held this season to celebrate 50 years. North Rocks has and always will be a major

contributor to the local community.

On the playing fields, 2015 was a record setter. The club had 927 registered players with 72

individual teams. Never has the club had so many participants. Particularly in the under 6 to under 9 age groups.

The Under 6 and 7 mini-roo (SSF) squads continued to play ‘in-house’ at Murray Farm Reserve. The club continued to be partnered with Spanish Football Academy to run skills sessions every

Saturday morning in conjunction with each team’s game. This proved highly successful and provided great training in basic skills for these age groups at a time in their development when it is needed.

This season we extended the SFA involvement to the under 8 and 9 age groups who flourished

under the extra training sessions provided. The SFA also ran a coach the coaches program which proved successful[RY1].

On the competition front, 28 competitive teams took to the field of which 4 were Minor

Premiers, AAM13, AAM15 Blacks, 35/6 Blacks and 45/1 Blacks.

Congratulations to these teams and also to the AAM13 and 35/6 Blacks who went on to win their respective Grand finals. Our 45/1 Blacks who lost their grand final went on to

represent the club and association in the Champion of Champions tournament. Bowing out in the round of 16. A great effort.

This year also saw the 1st season that we ran a special needs team. Big thanks to

Bill Gurney and Natalie Portes for getting this off the ground and we look forward to increased numbers next season.

Congratulations to Vi Nutt on 40 years at the club, David Monahan for 25

years and on the field, Craig Rosevear and Steven Abrahams on 25 years as well as Adrian Dolahenty for 30 years. Adrian also served on our

committee during that time. 20 year awards also went to Matt Freeman.

Norwest Soccer had a change of committee and a fresh new outlook to the club.

We had the majority of players returning and took on another two

senior teams. We also picked up another ground and entered a Super League squad into GDSFA competition

Our players did us proud once again with 6 of 10 teams making finals and 3 of

the 6 making the Grand Finals.

35 / 2 Minor Premiers and Grand final winners

Super League reserve Minor Premiers

AAM 7 Semi Finalists

AAM 12 Semi Finalists

AAM 13 Grand Finalists

U 15 / 4 Grand Finalists

Even more impressive was the efforts of our juniors where 4 of 7 teams finished on top of there groups and our super Under 9 team that won every game and scored over 110 goals.

Club spirit was high and the canteen broke all records, we had many compliments on the energy of the club and attitude of the committee its members and players.

We proudly hosted the Marc Arcuri Foundation Cup and from the success of the event the club was given a defibrillator.

We also hosted finals this season and the ground looked great and the atmosphere and competitive spirit was outstanding.

As you can see the club experienced great results and a fantastic club atmosphere.

We thank all the clubs in GDSFA for the season and GDSFA and the Referees for such a good season.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

The committee's year began in November of last year. The 2015 Committee was comprised of less members than last year.

This lead to committee members taking up dual roles this year and despite some difficulties the Club had a successful year and remain

one of the premier clubs in the GDSFA.

In 2015 we had 20 teams that ranged from under 6's through to Premier League, and Over 35s and 45s men and ladies over 35s. Our Non competitive

teams performed very well and there are some great footballers amongst these players that should secure our Clubs future for many years to come. Our

competitive teams once again performed very well. Our 16s, 17s, 35/2s 35/4s men all competed in the semi finals. Our other teams although missing out on semi final football this year still performed well, and our ladies were unlucky to miss out on semi

final football.

We had 2 teams qualify for Grand Finals this year, our 35/2s and 17s. The 35/2s went down one nil but our 17s once again performed outstandingly and won the Grand final in

extra time Golden Goal. This saw them achieve back to back Grand final wins and the Club would like to acknowledge and congratulate the players and coaches George Vervitas and

Con Sakeson on this wonderful achievement. The 17s also made it through to the State Cup Grand final but unfortunately lost. However, this is a remarkable achievement, and they did lose to an academy team. So again congratulations to all the players and the coaches.

Parramatta City FC were also runners up in the GDSFA Club Championship. Finishing second behind Auburn Districts.

Once more this year we had 2 functions, a Trivia night, that was very well attended and an enjoyable night for all who did attend. And secondly, our annual dance. This was a great night and with a great attendance. Over 230 attended and celebrated a great year. Thank you to all who attended, the Committee hopes that everyone that did attend had a good time.

The committee once more elected 2 more Life members, Mr Harry Bonovas and Mr Steve

Stefanou. Congratulations to both these men.

I would like to thank all the coaches and managers and all the parents of our players who volunteered their time this year to help out with their respective teams. It is a credit to them

and their commitment and dedication to these teams that ultimately assists our club in moving in the right direction.

This year the club was able to once again secure a number of sponsors many returning

from last year and we thank them all for their support and look forward to having them all on board again next year. Their support is immense for a club like ours so once again

thank you to all of these sponsors.

The Committee this year decided early on that we would like to see some works carried out at our home ground Eric

Primrose Reserve. Thanks to George Bonovas who was able to petition the Parramatta City Council for a grant of $5000 and a

follow up injection of a further $5000 and the Club contributing funds of $10000, a new awning was erected, which many of you have

now seen, which I think you will all agree looks fantastic and was long overdue and will provide great cover in the late summer months from the

heat and cover from the cold, rainy winter months.

Presentation Day was held last Sunday the 25th of October, and the committee was able to provide for all players and families a free bbq as a thank you for all the

effort put in by everyone this year.

The canteen was out sourced this year as it became evident that the lack of numbers in the committee meant we were not able to run the canteen ourselves without other areas

being affected detrimentally, in particularly the day to day running of the club and the smooth running of our teams.

I would like to state that I am very proud of the achievements made in the last 2 years by this

committee. As you would all be aware, the current committee came together as a relatively new committee in 2014. In this time the committee has been able to increase the Club's

overall financial position and this has allowed us to inject funds back into the club and our players. As I stated before we have a new awning at our ground and we were the first club in the GDSFA to purchase a defibrillator, in fact one of the first Clubs in Australia to do so. It

remains on site but we hope we never have a reason to use it. There are still many things the Club requires and areas that can be improved. The responsibility for Parramatta City is on all of us. We have a very rich history one steeped in traditions and this club has always been about family first. It is extremely important that the Club continues to grow but extremely important also to navigate our way into a future whereby these traditions and the history of Parramatta City FC are not diminished in any way. Our history is our identity, it should not be forgotten but rather embraced and expanded on. In saying that we have great relationship forming with the Committee of the Greek Orthodox Church In Parramatta, and I believe we will come to an agreement soon where the club will once again have a permanent place to put and store our

memorabilia, trophies, our History, as we did in years gone by, and we thank the Greek Church committee for their cooperation in this matter.

Thank you to all the members of the Parramatta City FC committee this year who worked at

times under trying situations but managed to stay focused on the job at hand. Thank you to Steve Makris our Vice President for all you have done for not only the club but for being so supportive of me. Thank you to George Bonovas who filled 2 roles this year as our

Treasurer and Secretary. Your work and sacrifice is truly appreciated. To Angelo Arnaoutis our Registrar thankyou for all your time and effort. To John Athanasiou, who

worked tirelessly all year chasing sponsors, and doing the ground work for all our functions, thank you. To Con Mantzioris thank you for always being able to lighten

the mood when we needed it most. To Victor Zerefos who despite personal issues was always willing to help out where he could. A special thank you to Mr Peter

Tsakos, who took up the role of Comp Secretary when the club came asking. He did not hesitate to help and the Club and we thank him for his assistance.

Finally, thank you to every player, coach, manager, parent, member and supporter of Parramatta City FC.

Thank you for making Parramatta City FC your Club. This Club has achieved so much and my wish is to see this club

continue to strive to be the best club it can be. As I said we have great tradition and history in this Club, something we should all be

proud of. This needs to be maintained and worked on. It has been a great privilige and honour to hold the post of President for Parramatta City

FC over the past 3 years. I have had so much support from everyone in the club I thank everyone for their support.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

The 2015 is over and once again PHFC has had an outstanding season both on and off the pitch. Our Club had over

830 registered players this season and a large group who joined our Cubs program to prepare them for team soccer. We managed to get 22

teams into the Semi Finals with 13 teams playing off in the Finals and 11 making it all the way to the Grand Final. This result was the best for any

Club within the Granville Association which is a great achievement from all involved. 5 teams were successful in winning the GF and those teams that

missed out on the last day did themselves and the Club proud.

During the season we had several teams enter into the State Cup competition and we managed to get 4 through to the quarter finals (14/1’s , 15/1’s , 17/1’s & LPL) of

these four teams the 15’s & 17’s went on to the Semi Finals. Both teams played some amazing soccer and pushed the opposition all the way only to go down late in both

games. The Club should be very proud of these achievements.

Off the field this year we had several good news stories that makes me feel proud to be part of this Great Club. We were able to assist one of our Club members by donating some old

equipment that was taken across to Zambia and handed out to a local community. It was great to see the Pendo colours find another home and be worn with pride. A member of our

15/2’s team also put together a group from the club to run in the City to Surf and push her little cousin all the way. I know they all had a great experience and I’m sure plenty of you even

donated to help the cause. It is community spirit like this that this Club is built on and why we continue to thrive in the community.

I would like to offer a huge thank you to all the PHFC Committee. This season we filled almost every position and had some extra support from a few of our Life Members. With a positive

approach to the season we managed to get plenty of jobs done and set the Club up for a successful year. The Club applied for and received a grant from the Council to upgrade some equipment which is ongoing. We also received a Defibrillator unit that was kindly donated to the Club. A major achievement was getting the approvals for an upgrade to the lighting of field 1 to allow for night games. This should be finished in time for the 2016 season. Along with this we

put together a small group of junior players who assisted around the grounds on match day especially with set up in the mornings. Your help was much appreciated.

With 2016 being the Clubs 50th Anniversary we are looking forward to a Huge season next

year. The committee is already planning some major events to celebrate this milestone. The Club will have a new Retro strip to celebrate and I am sure everyone will be excited to wear

it.

VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT

Committee Report

Our AGM at the end of 2014 saw some new faces join our committee for 2015. The new people brought a lot of new energy and enthusiasm

to the club. It also generated new ideas and lead to some positive changes implemented to help us grow our junior numbers and registrations for 2015.

A continued focus from our new committee was to affiliate our club with the all

schools in the local area, which yielded an increase in our juniors and helped build a positive image for the club in the community.

We worked with the GDSFA and hosted a grassroots coaching course (run by the

GDSFA and Football NSW) for our coaches. Our coaching co-ordinator and our coaches gave very positive feedback for the session and requested further training. Our Coaching

co-ordinator is working with the GDSFA to set up a Skills Training course for all our coaches in early 2016.

The club continued to assist players and their families with hardship problems by supporting them in any way we could including subsidising some registration fees.

Junior Report

We held a skills day in February 2015 - targeting 5-12 year old children. Sydney FC sent out some players for the session and gave us great support on the day by helping out and encouraging our youth to play this great game. The day was a major success, and we managed to register some new kids and lifted our profile in the community.

Our junior teams had a successful year– some highlights included:

- The U15's Dic2 grand champions - The U14's Div5 grand finalists lost in penalty shoot out - The U12's Div6 semi-finalists.

Senior report

Our Seniors had a pretty good year and enjoyed playing for the club. We had a few new policies

we put in place to assist with items such as payment of registration fees, which helped but we still have some work to do in this area.

2016 season

In relation to 2016, we are hoping to build on our momentum and grow bigger and

better.

We hope to build on our numbers from 2015. The club will be focusing on attracting better coaches and providing them with ongoing support through

further training and ongoing mentoring support.

The club would like to thank all the volunteers who were exceptional during the 2015 season. We would also want to thank GDSFA for

their great support during the year.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

The 2015 season was special in so many ways. The club celebrated its 10th birthday and we welcomed our first life

member.

On the field the O45's enjoyed there first season, we took out 2 minor premierships in Division 1, we held up a Grand Champion trophy in O35

ladies and we entered the prestigious FNSW Champion of Champions in U12 Girls and U16 Girls. The season was very successful from a competition

perspective and we have much to be proud of.

The O35 ladies are worth a special mention. The team included many new players to the game and to win this title was an amazing effort. The emotion from the ladies

after the win said it all, acknowledging something very special had just been achieved. The power of the mums in the football community was proven by the winning Grand

Final Facebook post having over 4000 views, best post all season.

Rams Soccer continues to lead the way on so many levels. From silent rounds which were well received by all parents, to in-house Goal Keeper Clinics which included a visit from

former Socceroo Alan Marr whose grandson plays at the club, to Rams Development Program for U8 - U11 and finally the 2015 Yellow Brick Road Instructional Referee Program.

The investment in developing our players and referees will continue on all levels. We welcomed many new coaches who completed grassroots courses on offer this season.

The club continues to grow and with over 900 players our appreciation is for all those who volunteered in 2015. From coaches, managers, committee and parents. A big thank you. The club works on a guiding mission statement of connecting a community through sport and the strength of our community is shown through the volunteering. We must acknowledge the committee who are hard working, passionate and make Rouse Hill Rams Soccer the most organised and professional in the district.

From administration, branding, communication and financial perspective, the club has delivered again. In 2015 we introduced a new website through our good friend and Major Sponsor Mark

Rowe at Orion Creative. We never underestimate this fantastic relationship with Orion and the product produced is something that you would only see at professional sporting organisations.

Facebook commenced in 2015 and proved a useful add-on to delivering club messages and

was a proven winner in promoting the club and individual achievements throughout the season.

Hills Centenary was once again the best in the district and proved a winner through finals

series in 2015 with positive praise from all who played on.

Financially the club is in a very strong position and Rams Soccer continues to provide value for money, with investment in development, fields, equipment and training

undertaken.

Our sponsors are our friends and these relationships have been built and blossomed over many years. To Australian Brewery and Marcello, we thank

you for all you do for our club. To Carol at Yellow Brick Road Castle Hill you are a superstar and we appreciate your continued support. To Paul

and Tanya at Cafe2U, thank you for your support and friendship. It is great to do business with local people who are kind and share a

passion for the promotion of sport locally.

Finally, the year has not been without its challenges. I want to thank my committee and in particular the executive

committee and Sports Club President for guidance and support in making the biggest decision in the clubs history.

Staying and playing within the football family is the right one for our club, our players and our community at this time.

On a personal note, I sign-off after 8 years with club as a parent, coach,

age co-ordinator, secretary and president. It has been a privilege and honour to give my time and energy to this great club and community. The club is in

wonderful shape and has fantastic people who will take it to the next level. There are too many people to thank, but I need to thank one very special person, my

beautiful and loving wife Malina. Thank you for the support over many years which I know has disrupted our family time with the kids and required many plans to be put

on hold.

To the entire Rams family, thank you for a great season and we look forward to seeing you all in 2016.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

Season 2015 has been the most successful season in Rydalmere Football club’s 35 year history. Following

is a Snapshot summary of the year it was.

The club has seen a significant growth in two years. The club has grown by 50% in the past two years and today we are recognised as the

fastest growing football club in the Parramatta and Granville football district. I would like to thank you all for believing in the club values and

passing the fun family and professionalism of the club to the community.

The club association junior teams (Under 6s to Under9s) grew by 50%. We also welcomed our first ever under 16s Girls team.

In addition to this, season 2015 provided our juniors the opportunity to aspire to play at

representative level. The club successfully ran regional youth teams to compete against other elite teams in the regional youth league. Furthermore, 2015 introduced the club to

State League Division One. This level of football is in line with our aspiration which is to grow successfully to achieve NSW Premier League Division One status.

In season 2015 the club including regional youth and state league had 48 registered teams.

This is a club record. This was up 20% in comparison to season 2014. In season 2015, we can confirm the club registered 620 players, including regional youth and state league. This is the highest ever number of players registered in a season at Rydalmere Football Club.

I would like to thank our valued sponsors whose involvement goes a long way in helping support us in achieving our ultimate goal; to give both the local and wider community the chance to play professional football in Australia and abroad.

I would like to thank all our volunteers who have played their part during the course of the season in either setting up fields, spending time on the BBQ, cleaning the change rooms and working in the canteen. It is the generosity of the volunteers that allows us to get through the operational challenges that we are expected to deliver during the season

I close off this letter by appreciating the long hours and effort of our committee. The club

would not have achieved a solid year without the dedication of your voluntary time.

On behalf of the club, I would like to thank the parents for their continued support. It is your effort that provides our juniors to play the world game. I am confident that one day, the club

will produce a future Socceroo or Matilda. Look forward to mingling with you in 2016.

To all, I look forward to season 2016, where our players will continue to believe and live their dreams.

Toongabbie Soccer Club is in a healthy position. We have a good crop of young players in good number in the younger age

groups. So the future is bright for the club. Over one-third of our members are aged 11 or under, and playing Miniroos.

Our results on the field were good, and I trust everyone involved had a

rewarding season.

The coaches and managers also deserve a big thank you, for the efforts in getting their teams ready to play each week. Congratulations on your results also.

Without players and their families, our club would not exist, and I thank them for

choosing our club to play the game, and for helping make Toongabbie Soccer Club the great club it is.

Thank you to the volunteers who helped the club out, to all the people who helped out on

the BBQ, setting up the fields in the morning, marking fields, etc.

Every year we thank Robin Baker and Bill & Fran Ducksbury for their work in the canteen, and this year once again, they managed the canteen, and without them, we would be lost.

Congratulations to our Premiership teams in 2015, the Under 13 Division 3s, and Over 45 Division 2. Our Under 21 Division 2 team were Minor Premiers.

As usual, our Premier League squad acquitted themselves well. Both teams missed out on finals, but we were competitive in a very tight competition. We are proud of this squad, and we will continue to place Premier League as major component of our club, and we need to work and plan to continue our great results and sustain our tradition in Premier League.

We entered and played in the FFA Cup for the first time in 2015, and we were unluckily knocked out in Round 3 in extra-time against St Clair United at Melita Stadium. It was a historic day for

our club.

Toongabbie were proud to host the Under 6 & 7 SSF Gala Day in September, where many of the Association’s young teams participated. It was a great day, and trust all participants

enjoyed themselves.

The club would like to thank our sponsors – Toongabbie Sports & Bowling Club, Cast Graphics, Emjay, Elders Real Estate Toongabbie, All Hills Fencing, Cromford Film,

Ashmore Motors and Baker’s Butchery Toongabbie.

We would also like to thank the GDSFA, both the staff in the office and the Directors for their continuing hard work and promotion of football in our area.

PRESIDENTS REPORT

Once again Winston Hills had an enjoyable and successful season on and off the field. Like a lot of clubs our player

numbers increased this season and we had just over 1300 players this year.

We had 310 in house Bear Cub players, playing in the U5 through to U8's

age groups. We had a total of 74 small sided and competition sides, in both mixed and girls/ladies competitions. 17 sides made the semifinals this season

with 7 going on to make the grand final's, with 4 of them winning. Congratulations to all those sides for their success this year.

We wouldn't be able to field all our sides without the wonderful support we get from our Parents who help volunteer every year with coaching and managing all our sides

and we would like to thank them again for their time and effort again this season.

Off the field we had another success trivia night which was a wonderful success again. Also the club's annual Peter Wilson memorial golf day at Fox Hills golf course, which was well supported again and a great day was had by all. This season the club also participated

in helping to raise money for the McGrath foundation with having a pink sock day, with our members buying over 800 pairs of socks. We would like to thank Sarah Johnston for organising both the trivia night and pink sock day.

Also, to all our committee members who once again gave up so much of their time again this

year. We wouldn't be able to get by without you all and we can't thank you enough for your help again this season.

Finally, thank you to all our players who come back each year, without you we wouldn't have a club. Look forward to seeing you all again next season.
