Timeframe
General Tips• Allow as much time as possible to prepare your
application – it is likely you will require input / support from others …
• Read the Guidelines! If in doubt, speak with the nominated Funding Officer
• Look for opportunities to demonstrate strategic alignment
General Tips
• Highlight key words in the grant application question to maintain focus on what should be in your answer
• Each answer counts – a small word limit does not mean the answer is not important!
• Don’t make assumptions re any prior knowledge of the grant assessors…
Focus on Benefits not Features!• A feature relates to the specific details of the
project / event
• A benefit is the impact of the project /event and how this addresses the need you have identified for your target audience
Funding bodies invest in the benefits / impact of your project!
