RUN-ONS

▪ Run-on sentences are sentences that have 2 complete thoughts (or independent clauses) that are smashed together.

▪ What do you think about when you think about something that is independent?

▪ Example 1: I slept three hours last night I was very tired in class.

▪ What is wrong with this sentence? ▪ Example 2: My family lost power yesterday, it was

very cold in the house. ▪ What’s wrong with this sentence?
