30 January 2017

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the wonderful and exciting world of Co-Curricular Activities.

A few months from now, when your sons are promoted to the next grade level, they will again be immersed in many interesting and perhaps new clubs in school. Part of this learning journey is the opportunity given to your sons to choose not only the offerings that they like but also those that complement their innate talents and budding interests.

We are delighted to inform you that the school has agreed to make this decision-making process earlier than usual. Whereas before, students are made to choose their clubs when the school year has already started, this time club enlistment for the coming school year will be done before the current school year ends. And there are many reasons why we are shifting to this procedure:

To recover club contact time during the first quarter otherwise spent for club shopping To schedule the timely payment for clubs with fees during summer enrolment To allow the school enough time to consider students’ club choices for better placement

With all these in mind, please be guided by the following reminders and schedules:

It is good to note that making club choices is not an easy task for most students such that parents need to guide them in this entire process. But parents are likewise advised to resist the urge to force their kids into choosing the clubs they (parents) like but rather allow them to choose the clubs that they (students) are naturally interested in.

With this in check, we will be certain that the experience your sons will have next school year in CoCA will really be exciting, meaningful and fun. Thank you very much.

Mrs. Noemi M. Blanco Mr. Jervy M. Robles Student Activities Coordinator Asst. Headmaster for Student Affairs
