Tips and Deadlines Leading up to
Graduation
ADVICE FROM PREVIOUS GRADE 12 STUDENTS: Check First Class DL Students for news and information every day
Visit the Career Centre regularly, check in during spare blocks
Talk to Mrs. Livingston Attend Post Secondary Information Night – Nov. 17th @ Sands
Attend college and university information sessions – it really helps to
know the campus you’re interested in and talk to an admissions advisor for the program you want
Watch for early application deadlines for career-focused programs at BCIT and Kwantlen e.g. trades, nursing etc.
Work on your Grad Transitions book early – it helps to organize your thoughts on post-secondary life.
Have a plan and then have a back-up plan!
Apply for scholarships, research ones you are eligible for and organize your time so you’re not working on them at the last minute
Attend Grad Transitions Seminars
Stay organized, practice good time management skills and do not procrastinate…because…
…the year will fly by at a amazing pace and before you know it, you’ll be walking across the stage in cap and gown to receive your high school diploma!
