Selective Availability
• absichtliche Verschlechterung der Daten (Zeit, Ephemeriden)
• Meßgenauigkeit mit SA ca. 100 m, ohne ca. 15 m
• 4. Juli 1991 bis 1. Mai 2000
• Option auf Selective Deniability

Atmospharische Einflusse
• Ionosphare fur ca. 50% der Ungenauigkeit von GPS verantwortlich
• Ionospharendaten in Navigation Message
– grobes Modell, nicht sehr zeitnah (wochentliche updates)
• Laufzeitverzogerung abhangig von Signal-Frequenz
– Vergleich von L1 und L2
• Vergleich mit Referenzempfanger
– Differential GPS (DGPS)
• genaueres Ionospharen-Modell aus anderen Quellen

C1 = (−1,−1,−1,−1) C2 = (+1,−1,+1,−1)
• Eigenschaften:
Ci · Ci = 1 Ci · (−Ci) = −1 Ci · Cj = 0, fur i 6= j
• sende C fur 1, −C fur 0
• Signal S ist Summe aller Bitmuster
• Bit von Sender i herausfiltern:
S · Ci = (b1C1 + . . . + biCi + . . . + bnCn) · Ci = bi

Differential GPS
• Idee: viele Fehler identisch fur benachbarte Empfanger
• Referenzempfanger an bekannter Position
• zwei Moglichkeiten:
– nachtragliche Korrektur durch Verknupfung der Messungen
– online-Korrektur
• Ranging-Code Differential:
– Messung der Differenz Rp −Rt fur jeden Satelliten
– atmospharische Fehler und Uhr-/Ephemeriden-Fehler
– Empfanger muß Position der Referenzstation nicht kennen
• DGPS in Deutschland: Sender in Mainflingen, Telekom und BfK
