SANKALP SE SIDDHI

(TRIFED)

The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development

Federation of India (TRIFED) operating under Ministry of

Tribal Affairs recently launched the “SANKALP SE

SIDDHI”.

It is a hundred-day drive. The main aim of the drive is to

activate the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras located in tribal

villages. It aims to cover 1,500 villages in India in

hundred days.

Around one hundred and fifty teams have been formed to

roll out the drive. These teams will identify the locations for

clustering them as TRIFOOOD and SFURTI units.

Mask Abhiyan

(Odisha)

The Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently

launched a fourteen day “Mask Abhiyan” initiative to

prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The main objective of the initiative is to turn the use of

mask into a habit. This will play a huge role in controlling

the current resurgence of COVID-19. Also, the Odisha State

Government has increased the fines for violators from Rs

1000 to Rs 2000.

“Aahaar Kranti” Mission

Family Welfare)

The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr

Harsh Vardhan recently launched “Mission Aahaar

Kranti”.

The mission aims to spread the message of the importance

of nutritionally balanced diet. It will also promote the

importance of accessibility to local fruits and vegetables.

Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme

(Andhra Pradesh)

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Jagan Mohan

Reddy recently released the first tranche of Rs 672

crores under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme for

the year 2021-22. This reimbursed the fees for 10.88 lakh

students. So far, a total of Rs 4, 879 crores have been

disbursed under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.

(Uttarakhand CM)

Trivendra Singh Rawat launched "Gharoki Paachan,

Chelik Naam" (daughter's name is a home's identity)

programme and development schemes worth Rs 42 crore

in Nainital.

Government is working towards women empowerment and

32,000 women groups of the state are being linked with

self-employment to make them self-reliant.

Gram Ujala Scheme

(Union power and new and

renewable energy minister)

To provide the cheapest LED bulbs in the rural areas. The

scheme was launched by the Union power and new and

renewable energy minister, Raj Kumar Singh.

In the first phase, the scheme was launched from Arrah

district in Bihar. In this phase around 15 million LED bulbs

will be distributed in the villages of Arrah (Bihar),

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh),

Nagpur (Maharashtra), and western Gujarat.

In this scheme, poor households to get LED for Rs. 10.

“SAAMAR Campaign”

(Jharkhand)

“SAAMAR Campaign” which stands for “Strategic Action

for Alleviation of Malnutrition and Anaemia Reduction”

campaign recently. The campaign was launched to tackle

the malnutrition in Jharkhand.

The SAAMAR campaign was started with the aim of

identifying the anaemic women and malnourished children.

Mission Gramodaya

(Madhya Pradesh)

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the

Mission Gramodaya in the Madhya Pradesh.

Mission Gramodaya has been started for the overall

development of rural areas.

Universal Health Scheme

(UHS) (Rajasthan)

Ashok Gehlot announced that his government’s much

anticipated Universal Health Scheme (UHS) will be

launched on May 1 this year.

Every family will get an insurance benefit of ₹ 5 lakhs

under the Universal Healthcare scheme. Those covered

under Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan

Swasthya Bima Yojana along with contract workers and

small and marginal farmers can avail this scheme for free.

“Poshan Abhiyan”

(Ministry of Social Justice and

Empowerment)

for the Elderly to provide them ‘nutrition support’. Under

the mission, supports will be provided to indigent elders

who are not staying in Old Age Homes and are victims

of malnutrition.

Scheme will be implemented by “Gram Panchayats and

Urban Municipalities”. ‘Senior Citizens Welfare Fund’ will be

utilized to fund & implement the mission.





Tribal TB Initiative

(Union Health Minister)

Dr. Harsh Vardhan launched the “Tribal TB Initiative”,

as a step towards achieving 'TB Mukt Bharat' by 2025.

The Ministry also released a guidance note on Joint Action

Plan for elimination of Tuberculosis (TB), a Special Edition

of Tribal Ministry’s Publication ‘ALEKH’ on TB and a

document on Tribal Tuberculosis (TB) Initiative at the event.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on

1st Feb virtually launched the ‘Har Ghar Pani, Har Ghar Safai’ mission as part of the government’s campaign to accomplish the goal of 100 per cent

potable piped water supply in all rural households by March 2022.

Mega Surface Water Supply

Scheme (Punjab CM)

The Chief Minister inaugurated one Mega Surface

Water Supply Scheme covering 85 villages in the Moga district, 144 new water supply schemes for 172 villages, 121 Arsenic, and Iron removal

plants.

Pragyan Bharati scheme (Assam)

Scheme to provide monetary assistance to college students.

Under Pragyan Bharati scheme, 3,26,046 college students were given Rs 1,500 each for purchasing text books, while a total of Rs 161

crore was reimbursed for free admission of 4 lakh eligible students.

Bhasha Gourab Scheme (Assam)

Scheme to provide monetary assistance to literary bodies of the state. The scheme Bhasha Gourab, under which the

state government provided 21 Sahitya Sabhas (literary bodies) with a total of Rs 43 crore as

contribution towards their corpus funds.

KAPILA (Kalam Program for Intellectual Property Literacy

and Awareness Campaign) (Central Government)

for Intellectual Property Literacy and creating patent awareness.

The Government has launched a campaign namely Kalam Program for Intellectual Property Literacy

and Awareness Campaign (KAPILA) on 15th October, 2020.

Conservation Campaign (Madhya Pradesh)

The Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh,

inaugurated 57,000 water structures under the “Jalabhishekam Water Conservation

Campaign” on February 11, 2021 virtually from New Delhi.

These water structures were constructed in Madhya Pradesh.

promote farming of herbal plants. It will also create employment opportunities through an increase in

the export of such products.

‘National Police K-9 Journal’ (Union home minister)

“National security is paramount and our government is making sincere efforts to give equal attention to

all aspects related to security. The police dog squad can act as a force multiplier to ensure the safety of

society, much like the way drones or satellites are being used in the country.”

Kisan Fasal Rahat Yojana (Jharkhand)

The main aim of the scheme is food safety, crop diversification, rapid agriculture development paving

way for competition. The scheme will cover both land owning and landless farmers. The Department

of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Co-operative will be the implementing agency.

Light House projects (LHPs) (PM Modi)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Light House projects

(LHPs) at six sites across six States through video conference on 1st January 2021.

The LHPs will be implemented at Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Rajkot (Gujarat), Chennai (Tamil Nadu),

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Agartala (Tripura) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). The project is being constructed

under the Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC)-India. It has been conceptualised by the

Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.





Under the programme, over 1,000 houses would be

built in each of the six cities in 12 months along with allied infrastructure facilities.

Honey FPO Programme

Welfare)

The Honey FPO Programme aims to address the issues faced by the beekeeping industry and also

promote honey production in the country. This will also help in achieving the goal of increasing

farmer’s income. These 5 FPOs will be set up by the National

Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED). They will be set up at East

Champaran (Bihar), Morena (Madhya Pradesh), Bharatpur (Rajasthan), Mathura (Uttar

Pradesh) and Sunderbans (West Bengal).

Orundoi Scheme (Assam)

It will support the family to buy by 4 kg of pulses worth 200 rupees, medicines worth 400 rupees

per month, sugar for 80 Rupees and fruits and vegetables for 150 Rupees.

‘Jagananna Thodu’ Scheme

(Andhra Pradesh)

Benefit: Scheme would benefit lakhs and several

more schemes would be started for the interests of the poor. “Vegetables, small tiffin shops, flowers,

motorcycle vendors, teeth, groceries, loom work, cloth and handlooms, lacework, steel shops, pottery,

kitchen and plastic goods, electronic goods, and several other items will be made available for

beneficiaries of the scheme.

Swasthya Sathi scheme

(West Bengal)

It provides basic health cover for secondary and

tertiary care up to 5 lakh INR per annum per family.

Atmanirbhar Women Scheme (Bank of Baroda)

Aims: This scheme aims to target the self-reliant woman in India. Under the scheme, the bank is

offering loans at 0.50 per cent concession for women. The bank under the gold loan scheme is

offering agri-gold loan at 0.25 per cent concession and for a retail loan at 0.50 per cent concession.

“Varasat” campaign In first of its kind campaign to end the nagging land related issues in the rural areas, UP Chief





(UP) Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the

special ‘varasat’ (natural succession) drive. It is aimed at eradicating the exploitation of the

villagers in the name of Varasat of land and property.

‘SEHAT’, Health Insurance Scheme

(PM Modi)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch ‘SEHAT’ – Health Insurance Scheme for the

entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir .This scheme will cover the remaining One

crore population which was not covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Under Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), eligible

beneficiaries were covered under Health Cover of Rs 5 Lakh.

Karnataka Bank launched CASA (current account, savings account) mobilisation

campaign which will run from November 17 to March 4, 2021.The bank stated that it intends to

mobilise over 4.10 lakh current and savings accounts with an accretion of 650 crores of

business.

“Maha Awas Yojana”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddav Thackeray

launched “Maha Awas Yojana”. The project aims to build 8.82 lakhs of rural houses in 100 days.

The project includes construction of toilets as well. The cost of the project has been estimated as Rs

4,000 crores.

Andhra Pradesh government has taken another

significant step in safeguarding women and children travelling by local transport across the





state. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to

launch the physical distribution of property cards under the ‘SVAMITVA’ (ownership)

Aims: The scheme is an unique way that will

operational requirements of the health facilities. It also provides interest subvention of

one percent to cooperatives where women are in majority.

‘Safe City Project’

(UP)

The Governor spoke while inaugurating the

‘Safe City Project’, a 180-day-long campaign under which the police and other departments

will work towards safety of women.

Smart blackboard scheme (Tamil Nadu)

Aims: The scheme is aimed at using the audio visual teaching material in the schools. It can

also be integrated with digital classrooms and smart classroom schemes. The smart boards





will create materials that can be fed into

computer screens using pen drives.

“YSR Bima” (AP)

Benefit: it will take 15 days to settle the insurance claims, the government will provide

Rs 10,000 as immediate aid to the family members if the insurance holder met with an

accident or died.

The farmers will be provided with power supply between 5 AM and 9 PM, under the scheme.
