IntroductionDefinition :Human Trafficking referred to recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use the force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, abuse of power or a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments/benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person for purpose exploitation (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, 2003)
Human Trafficking : •Multi Dimensional Issue•Involving forced prostitution and forced labor• The majority of the victims were from Indonesia, Nepal, India, Thailand, China, Philippines.• U.S placed Malaysia at Level 2 Monitoring List in 2015. • Malaysia’s Government targeting the Level 1 rank.

imprisonment not exceeding 15 years and a fine (Secretariat Trafficking in Persons & Smuggling of Migrants, 2011).

d. Section 15- getting profit from the exploitation (Imprisonment not exceeding 15 years and a fine of RM 500,000)
The Strategies to Eradicate Human Trafficking
The Strategie

•Eliciting Public Cooperation- Encourage public participation in reporting the case.
•Enforcing ‘ One District one Investigation Officer’-The roles of PDRM & Attorney General Office in appointing deputy prosecution
• Strengthening legal regulatory mechanism- Amending act by incorporating new offense for smuggling of immigrants and increase the penalty.
•Integrating operations- Intelligence sharing among enforcement agencies like APMM, TLDM
• Mobilising the NGO’s - NCWO, IKMAS, SUHAKAM, CAMSA & Council of Child Welfare
•Cooperating with foreign countries- Bilateral Cooperation such as Australia, Britain, U.S & Netherland
•The usage of social media- Facebook, Websites and etc.
Conclusion• In order to eradicating the human trafficking
the cooperation from the public is needed by the government.
• The integration between the government agencies and foreign countries plays an important roles in combating the trafficking.
• The social media helps in creating the awareness among the publics.
