The committee shall perform following functioning and duties:

1. Ensure that wakaf property under it is properly maintained andadministered in accordance with the provisions of J&K Wakaf Act 2001.

2. Maintain record relating to the income, expenditure and proper accountsof beneficiaries of the said wakaf.

3. Ensure that the income from properties of the wakaf are applied to theobjects and for purpose for which such wakafs were created or intended;

4. Prepare its own budget within its jurisdiction;5. Take measures for recovery of the lost properties of the wakaf;6. Generally do all such acts as may be necessary for the maintenance and

administration of wakaf;
