Hence our students have proved their mettle at the state and national levels. They have given a testimony
for the fact that students from rural areas can soar to great heights if right training, encouragement and
opportunity are provided to them and if their energies are properly harnessed.

Students of NSS and also other students together have constructed three big rooms, which can
accommodate nearly 100 students each. They have also constructed a stage to conduct college
programmes. The resource was mobilized from the munificent public, the staff and willing
students. This is a very special and positive development in the college and perhaps first of its kind
in the state. The unprecedented event has been highly lauded by the Mr Rajaneesh Goel, the
Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Karnataka. He has not only appreciated this
selfless effort of the students but also stayed with them for a little while and has taken a photograph
with them. (An annexure, which highlights the media coverage and also the photographs of the
work in progress, is enclosed.)
GOVERNMENT LENDS ITS HANDS
Now the Government has allotted two acres land near the Mysore-Ooty Inter-state Highway. It has

well in the varsity exams and some of them are varsity toppers and they have got merit prizes. A cursory look
