    Decorate the top o this creamy dip with a sprig o resh dill ormed into the shape o aChristmas tree. Then cut out a carrot star or the top and use fnely chopped red and

    yellow peppers or ornaments. How pretty!

    Moms Dill Bread BowlCharlene BlackburnOverland Park, KS

    1 round loa pumpernickel bread1 c. sour cream1 c. mayonnaise1 T. dill weed1-1/2 t. seasoning salt

    1 T. dried parsley2 T. dried, minced onion1 t. garlic powderassorted cut-up vegetables

    Hollow out the center o bread loa; set aside. Cube removed bread; set aside.Combine remaining ingredients except vegetables and spoon into center o loa.Cover and chill or 24 hours. Serve with reserved bread cubes and vegetables.

    Serves 8 to 10.

    Using an electric mixer on low speed, thoroughly blend all ingredients excepttortillas and salsa. Spread sour cream mixture evenly over tortillas; roll up tortillas.Wrap each tightly in plastic wrap; rerigerate or 3 to 4 hours. Remove plasticwrap; trim and discard ends. Cut tortillas in 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick slices. Laypinwheels at on a serving plate, leaving space in the center or a small bowl osalsa. Makes about 4 dozen.

    In a bowl, mix together all ingredients except chips and crackers. Transer to alightly greased 8"x8" baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees or 30 minutes,or until dip is heated through. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers. Makes2 dozen servings.

    My grandmother used to have Christmas Eve every year. Family & riends gathered orgames and appetizers ater caroling or looking at Christmas lights in town. This recipe

    reminds me o those times. Even though my grandma has now passed on, we keep withtradition and hold a Christmas Eve gathering where everyone is welcome.

    Mix together cheese, mayonnaise, shrimp and onion salt in a large bowl. Spread

    cheese mixture evenly across quartered English mufns. Place on aluminum oil-lined baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees or 10 to 20 minutes, until cheeseis melted and pus are golden. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.

    Being careul not to brown, saut onions in butter in a skillet over medium heatuntil translucent. Line the bottom o a greased 13"x9" baking pan with appleslices. Arrange chicken over apples; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with onionmixture. Combine cheeses with bread crumbs and sprinkle on top. Drizzle withapplejack or cider. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees or 30 minutes. Uncover and

    bake an additional 5 minutes, or until golden on top and chicken juices run clear.Serves 4.

    2 onions, chopped5 T. butter3 apples, peeled, cored and sliced2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken

    Combine all ingredients except cheese and butter in a large bowl. Mix well. In aslow cooker, alternate layers o the hashbrown mixture and cheese, beginning andending with the hashbrowns. Top with butter. Cover and cook on high settingor 1-1/2 hours; turn to low, cook 2-1/2 hours longer, or until potatoes are tender.Makes 8 to 10 servings.

    Cut squash in hal; remove seeds, peel and cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Combinebutter, brown sugar, salt, our and spices; mix until crumbly. Layer hal o squash inan oval slow cooker. Top with hal o the apple slices and hal o the spice mixture.Repeat layers. Cover and cook on low setting or 6 hours, or on high setting or3-1/2 hours. Serves 6 to 8.

    In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth anduy. Gradually add hal o condensed milk, beating constantly. When hal o milkhas been added, beat in lemon juice until smooth. Beat in remaining condensedmilk until smooth. Pour into crust; cover and chill at least one hour. Garnish withwhipped cream and raspberry preserves to serve. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

    This sinully rich dessert is part o our New Years Day tradition. No waiting overnightor good cheesecake. Just fteen minutes to toss it together and an hour to chill. What

    could be easier? The secret is sweetened condensed milk...make sure you dont useevaporated or it wont turn out.

    Line a 15"x10" jelly-roll pan with aluminum oil; spray oil with non-stick

    vegetable spray. Arrange crackers in a single layer in pan; set aside. Combinebutter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to aboil and boil or 3 minutes. Pour mixture evenly over saltines. Bake at 375 degreesor 5 minutes. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Let stand or a ewminutes; spread chocolate evenly with a spatula and sprinkle with nuts. Chill;

    break into pieces. Makes 3 dozen.

    In a heavy 5-quart Dutch oven over medium heat, bring sugar, milk and butter to arolling boil, stirring until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil. Cook, stirringconstantly to prevent scorching, to the sot-ball stage, or 234 to 243 degrees on acandy thermometer. Remove rom heat. Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallowcreme until melted and well blended. Add vanilla and nuts, i desired. Pour into

    a buttered 13"x9" baking pan. Cool and cut into squares. Store in an airtightcontainer. Makes 2-1/2 to 3 pounds.
