Friends of Clapham Manor Thank you to everyone for all of your help and generous support this year. Together we helped raise over £15,000 for the school! Time For A Change The PTA committee have now all formally stepped down. We will continue to be involved but it's now time for someone else to take the lead . We have a lovely new treasurer, Katty, but need chair people and a secretary to decide on events and plan for the next year. Please get in touch if you are interested.

Free Dance Performance at Tate Britain This summer there are dance performances in the free art displays at Tate Britain. Men and Girls Dance is part of a free families summer holiday celebration of dance. It is by performance company Fevered Sleep and features one of our pupils, Pebbles. The performances take place in the galleries on 27th-30th July and 3rd—6th August, between 2-6pm. Visit www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-britain for more information and to watch a trailer.

Building Bridges Last Wednesday we had a D&T afternoon involving Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The children were split into their house teams and given a challenge. Working together they had to make a bridge using only newspaper and masking tape. The bridge had to be high enough to hold a plastic bear on the top and high enough for him to swim his canoe underneath. I think everyone will agree that the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, working hard in their teams to create the strongest bridge they could. Then.....the wind came along. With 5 minutes to spare each bridge was attacked by a strong gust of wind and the teams needed to make improvements for the bears safety and the bridges strength. A wonderful afternoon where the children were able to work with different children to complete a challenge! Well done!

Goodbye from Ms Tennant “After 11 years, it is time for me to leave my role as a class teacher at Clapham Manor to spend more time with my family. I really have had the most amazing time here and I have nothing but brilliant memories to take away with me. The children, parents and staff at Clapham Manor really are the best and you have all made my time here as a class teacher truly unforgettable. Although I will no longer be taking a class, I will still have a small teaching role at Clapham Manor for part of the week. I look forward to still being part of the Clapham Manor team in the new school year.”
