Altar Society

All ladies of the parish are cordially invited to become active in The Good Shepherd Altar Society. The annual Harvest Dinner and Garage Sale are two of the ways the Altar Society provides support to pay for the Altar wine, hosts and candles. Other major projects have been the funding of the sun film for the windows in the church and helping to purchase new lights for the parking lot. We also lend financial support to the parish youth for their activities. Our members enjoy each other’s company in fun social activities as well. Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday evening of the month at 7pm in the church parish hall. Please join us! For more information, contact Polly Harter, president, at 816.739.2093, or Helen Smith, vice president, at 816.260.4475 or 370.2434.

Food Collection Weekends

The first and third weekends of the month are “food collection Sundays.”

Help restock our local food pantries by dropping off your non-perishable food and toiletry items at the church. Place them by the credenza in the narthex.

Elizabeth Ministry

Elizabeth Ministry is a team of women who band to-gether in times of need to love families and individuals well by providing meals and prayers. If you or someone you know in the parish would be blessed by meals, whether it’s due to illness, hospitalization, death, or birth in the family please contact us. For help or more information contact Dcn John Wichmann at 913-526-3541 or [email protected].
