An active verbsends its action forward to the

object

When the subject is the doer of action, the verb is in the

active voice.

Let’s take a look at some examples…

The ninja sliced the fruit.umm..tried to…

Fans surrounded the singer.

Pandas live in the beautiful wilderness.

When subject receives the action, the verb is in the passive

voice.

A passive verb sends its action backto the subject

Let’s take a look at some examples…

The poor soul was surrounded by Zombies.

The tree was struck by lightning.

An A+ was given to Sam by Mr. T.

What voice are they using?

Active or Passive?

The letter was mailed by Ms.Morgan.
