The hallmark of the Department is the good facilities which cater to the academic and extra curricular interests of the students. The Department also offers value added courses in PCB design, Embedded & DSP, Advanced control engineering, industrial safety, variable frequency drives, PLC & SCADA to the students to make them distinct in their career. The students add pride to the Department by winning awards for projects proving the college motto “Innovation is our strength”. About Workshop The main focus of the workshop is on electrical drives and its control automation. The systems which control the motion of the electrical machines are known as electrical drives. A typical drive system is assembled with an electric motor and a sophisticated control system that controls the rotation of the motor shaft. Now a day, the control can be done easily with the help of software. So, the control becomes more and more accurate and this concept of drive additionally provides ease of use. Such drive system are widely used in large number of industrial and domestic applications like factories, transportation systems, textile mills, fans, pumps, motors, robots etc. Conducted by, About the Institution Oxford Engineering College (OEC) is an elite institution under the prestigious KSM Educational Trust, Trichy. It is founded with a zeal and ambition to promote and disseminate knowledge, to provide quality education in the field of engineering. The dynamic and rapidly growing college started on 14th November 1998, has gloriously completed fifteen years of its existence. It is affiliated to Anna University, Accredited by NAAC, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi (No. F No.732-52- 021(NDEC) / ET /97 /dt. 24/7/98). About the Department The Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department offering a UG Programme was started in the year 2006. PG Programme (Embedded System Technologies) was started in the year 2012. The Department has a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members with industrial and teaching backgrounds.
