Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure and honor to invite you on the occasion of the retirement of

Prof. Dr. John HESS

to the international meetingCongenital Heart Disease: QUO VADIS?

which is going to be held inMunich, Germany, on September 21st, 2012

In his honor, we have organized an international scientific conference focusing on three major topics around patients with congenital heart disease: pulmonary arterial hypertension, management of adults with congenital heart disease and catheter interventional therapy in patients with congenital heart disease. John Hess is unique in creating an atmosphere of curiosity and enthusiasm which is well known to most of the faculty members. The faculty consists of fellows or close co-workers of John. We consider us fortunate to have met such an inspiring person, who has been with us in Munich for over fifteen years directing the unit. It is hard for us to say “goodbye”.

This Congress will give an opportunity not only to share know-ledge, but also to meet old friends and make new friends from all over the world. We believe this meeting will be attractive not only for adult or pediatric cardiologists but for all specialtiesengaged in the care of patients with congenital heart disease. We can assure that, besides science, you will enjoy Bavarian hospitality and a stimulating atmosphere in Munich. The organizers once again urge you to come to Munich and to celebrate John Hess with us.

We cordially wish him all the luck and that the following years are blessed with curiosity, joy, smiles, and peace.

We look forward to welcome you personally in Munich.
