Hamta Circle Trail
Duration: 3 nights/ 4 days
Trek Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Maximum Altitude: 3500 meters
Starting Point: Manali
Hamta Circle Trek follows a circuit around the Hamta Pass. The
trek starts from Jagatsukh village close to Manali with a climb
through a dense forest. Above the tree line are the lush green
meadows which have sparkling water streams running
through them accompanied by spectacular views of the entire
Kullu Valley. The trek ends in Aleo village from where you will
be driven back to Manali.
Lamadug- Khanpari Trail
Duration: 2 nights/ 3 days
Trek Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Maximum Altitude: 4000 meters
Starting Point: Manali
The trek to Lamadug meadows above Manali is a perfect trek
for beginners and first timers. Lamadug meadow is around 6
km walk from Manali and Khanpari is another 6 km from
Lamadug. During the trek, one can witness the snow-covered
Himalayan peaks -Dhauladar and Pir Panjal Mountain range
and also the Kullu valley in their full splendor.
Kuari Pass Trek
Duration (ex Delhi): 5 nights/6 days
Trek Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Maximum Elevation: 4585m
Starting Point: Auli
The trek takes you through some beautiful meadows, thick
birch and oak forests and a few snow glaciers. The cold
mountain air coupled with bright sun and breath taking views
make this trek amazing.
Some of the snow covered peaks that you’ll see during the
trek include Hathi (6,727m), Kamet (7,756 m), Neelkantha
(6,596 m), Chaukhamba (7,142 m), Dronagiri (7,060 m),
Nanda Devi (7,817 m).
Satopanth Trek
Duration (ex Delhi): 7 nights/ 8 days
Trek Difficulty: Moderate
Maximum Elevation: 4600m
Starting Point: Haridwar
This triangular lake is believed to be the meditation place of
Brahma (Creator), Vishnu (Preserver) and Mahesh (Destroyer)
where they chart out the course of the world. The trek takes
you across high snow covered peaks, breathtaking waterfalls
and magnificent glaciers. As you trace your way to the source
of the Alaknanda River and knock on the gates of heaven at
the Satopanth Taal. The lake itself is nestled at the base of
Nilkantha peak.
Pin Bhaba Trek
Duration: 4 nights/ 5 days trekking (3 – 4 days of additional
travel to get there and back)
Trek Difficulty: Moderate to tough
Maximum Elevation: 4850 m
Starting Point: Chandigarh
Stark contrasts and changing landscapes make this one a
memory of a life time. You start this trek from the lush green
Kinnaur valley and end in the barren cold desert area of Pin
Valley which is a part of Spiti. After crossing the Bhaba pass at
4,850 meters, you descend into Spiti with the trek passing
through dense forests and alongside several rivers into rocky
landscapes. The sights from the Bhaba pass and throughout
the trek are nothing short of spectacular.
Triund – Lahesh Trek
Duration: 2 Days
Trek Difficulty: Easy
Maximum Elevation: 2,875 m
Starting Point: Dharamshala
Triund is a short and easy trek with well-defined trails and
provides breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks of
Dhauladhar on one side and of Kangra Valley on the other. The
ascent is about 1100 meters and goes through scenic
Rhododendron and Oak forest. Although one can walk to
Triund and back in one day, it is a good overnight camping
site. A short trek above Triund is the panoramic trail to the
Lahesh caves.
Kunzum - Chandrataal Trek
Duration: 4 Nights/ 5 Days.
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Maximum altitude: 4,500 meters
Starting Point: Manali
Chandertaal is situated at an altitude of 4300 meters in Lahaul
Valley in Himachal Pradesh. It is around 12 km from Kunzum
pass and can be accessed only during the months of May-
September and remains cut off the rest of the time.
Camping besides the lake on the grass mottled shores is an
experience of a lifetime. The drive through the snow clad
Rohtang Pass and further up to Kunzum Pass is followed by the
trek from Kunzum Pass to the Chandrataal Lake.
Chandrashila Peak Trek
Duration: 4 Nights/ 5 Days.
Difficulty Level: Easy to moderate
Maximum altitude: 3,620 meters
Starting Point: Chopta, Uttarakhand
Explore the stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan
ranges on Chopta-Chandrashila trek. The trek itself is an easy
to moderate (minus) level and goes through lush
rhododendron, wild flower, fern forests, alpine meadows, lakes
and shows stunning views of snow covered peaks like
Kedarnath and Chaukhamba. The Chandrashila peak at 3,620
meters offers stunning views of the entire Himalayan range.
