The Top 100 website (www.top100golf-courses.co.uk) has featured rankings undermany categories for a number of years, but ithas been more than two years since they up-dated their rankings for Europe’s Top 100Golf Courses.

Their rankings take into account everyshred of published ranking data and theyconsider golf courses from every ContinentalEuropean country. Additionally, they keep awatchful eye on the golf clubs and listen tohundreds of thousands of visitors that surfthe Top 100 website.

The result is the most informed Europeanrankings ever produced. Unlike golf maga-zines, which pay lip service to the Continen-tal European rankings, Top 100 Golf Courseshas been compiling European rankings for

more than five years. They have also com-pletely re-ranked every single Europeancountry and nearly 400 top Europeancourses have changed position.

There is no new European No.1 becausethe outstanding aristocratic Morfontaine re-mains the top course, however, there are 20new entries into their all-new Top 100. TheVineuil course at Chantilly is one of the high-est climbers and Monte Rei jumps a massive23 places into the Top 10. The highest newentry is the Robert Trent Jones II-designedLukber, which took five years in the making.

Ranking golf courses is all about opinionsand it’s the honest comments from visitors tothe Top 100 website that truly cut to thechase.

1980. Sky-ddsomslaget trasigt över ryggen, i övrigt fintskick.

Under MyGolfPass.com, golfers can buyan e-pass (electronic pass) for just £1.95 toplay a course on days and times which suitclubs.

“If we can generate more money for a golfclub, then that means that they might nothave to put the membership fees up, be-cause at the moment there’s a tendency toturn back to the members if more cash isneeded.”
