In the absence of any withdrawals from the farm-ins, approximately $3 million will be spent on these properties by farm-in partners during 2008. GCR is focusing its exploration effort on five prime areas:

1. Canbelego and Rast, NSW, where drilling is underway to test for high grade gold and copper mineralisation following assessment of airborne magnetic anomalies and a successful IP survey undertaken in 2007;

2. Bowen, Qld, where prospective targets will be drilled during 2008, including host rocks and structures similar to Conquest Mining’s Mt Carlton deposit;

3. Panama, where drilling is set to commence on IP targets generated by recent surveys on high grade gold veins at the Los Hatillos epithermal gold property. Six new tenements have been applied for.

4. Labrador, Canada, where airborne geophysical surveys have outlined prospective uranium targets and spectrometer assays indicate values of over 500 ppm U in outcrop at Notakwanon.

5. Copper Hill, NSW, where exploration continues at the Power prospect and in the south of the licence for high grade additions to the existing Copper Hill resource.

GCR is well placed; it has attracted capable farm-in partners, and the exploration teams have generated drill targets capable of delivering discoveries in the near future. GCR looks forward to results from both the farm-ins and its five main exploration properties in 2008. Further details of upcoming drilling and exploration programs are set out below.

EXPLORATION PROPERTIES

Canbelego (near Cobar, totalling 787 sq km, GCR 100%, gold and base metals. 60 sq km around Mt Boppy subject to 5% net profits interest (NPI) to Nosebi Mining and Management Pty Ltd; 3 sq km NW of Pipeline property subject to 10% free carried interest to Metallic Resources Pty Ltd)

GCR’s Canbelego property surrounds the Mount Boppy gold mine, which to date has produced over half a million ounces of gold at a grade of 12 g/t, and over which GCR holds a 3% gross royalty. GCR is currently drilling the area for Mount Boppy-style mineralisation. GCR is also planning additional drilling for the Burra Copper prospect, to the south of Mt Boppy, where GCR drilling in 2004 intersected up to 12m at 2.8% copper from 136m, including 2m at 13.7% copper. Resources defined here could provide feed for mills and plants in the Cobar region. Drilling commenced during the December quarter on the Canbelego and nearby Rast properties (2,417 sq km, Figure 1), and is still underway. Early results yielded background gold values in two holes, and low but anomalous values in one hole at the Native Dog Prospect, southeast of Mount Boppy.

Rast (south of Cobar, southwest of Nymagee, totalling 800 sq km, GCR 100%, gold and base metals.)

GCR’s Rast properties cover Devonian volcanics and sediments overlying Ordovician sediments marginal to the Erimeran granite (Figure 1). The area has had very little detailed exploration in the past and GCR’s exploration team is confident that the area has potential to host a major base metal-gold/silver deposit. Drilling (3 holes to date) has targeted airborne magnetic anomalies and has intersected volcanic-sediment contact zones within the Devonian package and a zone of weakly mineralised Ordovician sediments at the C3 anomaly. Widespread disseminated pyrrhotite was noted in the C3 core, with trace chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena. The presence of base metals mineralisation in this hole is encouraging at this early stage of exploration in a virgin area. Assay results are awaited. Additional adjacent ground, covering over 1,000 sq km, has been applied for in the district.

Bowen (Qld, 900 sq km, GCR 100% (held through KER), gold)

GCR holds newly granted tenements prospective for gold in the Bowen area of eastern Queensland. Primary exploration targets include porphyry-related bulk tonnage gold deposits and epithermal gold-silver deposits, with potential for a Silver Hill-style high-grade gold-silver discovery in epithermal and porphyry settings. Conquest Mining’s Silver Hill resource at Mount Carlton is reported to contain over 1 million ounces of gold and 33.4 million ounces of silver. GCR is establishing a field office in Bowen and will commence field work in January 2008. Previous drilling by WMC near Bowen, on the Mt Cavana tenement, yielded an intersection of 8m at 3.2 g/t gold, including 1m at 15.4 g/t gold.

At Matrimony Ridge, located within the Mount Mackenzie EPM, a zone of highly altered, silicified, brecciated and gossanous rocks occur within a porphyry-style environment. Rock chips returned assays of 6.3 to 16.8 g/t gold and 105 g/t silver occur over a 100m long zone at the brecciated contact with a dacite dyke.

Panama - Los Hatillos (Panama, 74 sq km, GCR earning up to 70% by spending US$4m by 2012, gold)

GCR has applied for six new exploration areas in Panama, and generated good targets from its ongoing IP surveys, to be followed by drilling in early 2008. New Exploration Areas GCR has exercised its option to purchase the non-exclusive Panama exploration database received in June 2007 (see GCR announcement to ASX dated 31 May 2007). A review of the database by GCR geologists and a consultant geophysicist led GCR to apply for new ground in areas with known porphyry intrusives or with magnetic signatures warranting detailed investigation. Six new applications have been made to date (see Figure 2) bringing the area under GCR’s control to over 880 sq km. On grant of the concessions the areas will be explored for gold and base metals. IP Survey Results Most of the prospective high grade gold veins in the Veraguas - Los Hatillos farm-in area have been covered by IP surveys, with good drilling targets generated. Landowner access issues have prevented some of the veins from being fully surveyed. Drilling at Los Hatillos in 2008 Drilling will follow-on from the IP surveys, in early 2008, targeting high grade gold veins. At Veta Blanca, an environmental impact study is now complete and awaiting government approval. Drilling will start at Veta Blanca as soon as possible.

Labrador (Canada, 658 sq km, GCR may earn 50% by spending C$5.5m by 2012, uranium)

Encouraging uranium geophysical results were received from the airborne magnetic and radiometric survey flown over the properties during September. See PowerPoint presentation released to ASX on 20 November 2007. The first batch of uranium rock chip assays are due in late January and the second batch in early February. Spectrometer assays indicate values of over 500 ppm U in outcrop at Notakwanon (see Figure 3).

Copper Hill (near Orange, NSW, 93 sq km, GCR 100%, copper-gold)

Using metal price assumptions between long term average and current spot, Copper Hill can deliver a positive NPV based on current financial analysis. Capital cost estimates for an 8 million tonne per annum operation remain at $333 million, beyond GCR’s capacity to fund in the current market. GCR is seeking a joint venture partner requiring a steady supply of clean copper concentrate with gold credits and the financial capacity to fund the project through to start-up. Additional soil sampling and shallow drilling is being carried out at the Power Anomaly and diamond drilling is planned for the March 2008 quarter. The drilling will be somewhat restricted until a landowner access agreement can be determined by the

Mining Warden, however one hole may be drilled into the Power Anomaly from an adjacent property. Geological mapping and rock and soil sampling in the Vale Head area and in the southern portion of the licence is also providing encouragement, with previously unknown copper occurrences and alteration zones being reported by the exploration team.

Mt Isa (Qld, 876 sq km, GCR 100%, uranium, copper-gold) (Legend International earning 80% interest in phosphates by spending $3m by 7 Dec 2012)

GCR announced on 18 December 2007 that it had entered into a farm-in and joint venture agreement with Legend International Holdings Inc (“Legend”). Under the agreement, Legend may earn an 80% interest in phosphate minerals on the tenements by spending $3 million on exploration and development by 7 December 2012. GCR retains all rights to all other minerals, including uranium. The properties consist of EPM 14905 “Quita Creek”, EPM 14906 “Highland Plains” and EPM 14912 “Lily and Sherrin Creek”, with a total area of 876 sq km. All are prospective for phosphates and uranium. Previous broad-scale exploration, including drilling, indicates potential for over 200 million tonnes of near-surface phosphatic rock at grades ranging from 13.4% to 18.7% P2O5. Phosphate is currently mined elsewhere in the Mt Isa area and phosphate production economics are enhanced by the presence of acid producing facilities (as a by-product of smelting at Mount Isa) and the rail and road infrastructure linking Mt Isa with the port of Townsville.

Mulga Tank (WA, 257 sq km, GCR 75% - 80% (held through KER), Newport earning 75% - 80% by spending C$2.5m by 1 June 2009 and completing a feasibility study, uranium-nickel)

King Eagle Resources (KER) holds the Mulga Tank property, 200 km NE of Kalgoorlie, where Newport Exploration Ltd (TSX:NWX) may earn a 75% - 80% interest by spending a total of C$2.5 million by 1 June 2009 and completing a feasibility study. Exploration efforts will now focus on the substantial 4.7 km x 3.2 km Minigwal Dunite (Peridotite) intrusive body, with potential to host a Mount Keith-style (517 Mt at 0.54% nickel) nickel deposit. Diamond drilling at Mulga Tank in 2005 identified an extensive mineralised zone averaging about 0.2% nickel and up to 0.5% nickel; Hole MTD001 returned 270m at 0.20% nickel, intersecting the serpentinised dunite from 67m, and MTD002 returned 212m at 0.19% nickel, from 60m. Shallow RAB samples assayed up to 2% nickel. KER holds the right to purchase, at any time, the 20% interest, free carried to decision to mine, in the Mulga Tank tenement, and the 25% interest in the EL application, held by a local prospecting syndicate.

Esmeralda (Qld, 90 sq km, GCR 100% (held through KER), gold, uranium) The Esmeralda tenement application, southeast of Croydon in the Georgetown Inlier of northern Queensland, is prospective for gold and uranium. The grant of the tenement is eagerly awaited, as previous exploration returned high-grade gold mineralisation, including trench assays of 1m at 36.8 g/t gold, 4m at 8.6 g/t gold and 2m at 16.7 g/t gold, and drill intersections of 2m at 5.4 g/t gold and 3m at 5.9 g/t gold. GCR is progressing native title issues prior to title grant.

Cargo (60 sq km, GCR 100%, Au and Cu. Cybele can earn 70% by spending $5m by 281110)

A second phase diamond drilling program, comprising five holes for 1,700m, commenced in November 2007, targeting porphyry-style copper and gold mineralisation. Results are awaited.

Cullarin (147 sq km, GCR 100%, base metals, gold and silver. Tri Origin Minerals may earn 51% by spending $0.2 million by 28 November 2010). Formerly Breadalbane.

During the quarter farm-in partner Tri Origin Minerals completed 10 shallow RC holes for 474m at the Wet Lagoon anomalies and other mineralised occurrences. Best result was from hole CVTRC001, which was drilled 50m south of historical hole WL031 which returned 147m at 1.06 g/t gold, including 14.6m at 5.0 g/t gold from 16m. Hole CVTRC001 returned 23m at 0.30 g/t gold, 2.9 g/t silver and 0.13% lead from 16m. Further drilling is planned.

Broken Hill (405 sq km, GCR 100%, platinum group metals, gold and base metals.)

CVRD-Inco remains active in its joint venture over the southern part of the licence.

West Wyalong (114 sq km, GCR 100%, gold. Barrick Gold holds a 2.5% nsr royalty. Argent minerals may earn 70% by spending $1.03 million by 1 June 2013)

As announced to ASX on 12 December 2007, farm-in partner Argent Minerals was successful in its initial drilling campaign at West Wyalong, intersecting a previously unmapped gold reef, and unmined gold mineralisation below the workings of previously mined gold reefs. Hole APG003 intersected 2m at 19.1 g/t gold from 106m downhole in a wheatfield with no sign of old workings. Hole AMV002 at Mallee Vale reef in the north of the property, intersected 4m at 6.11 g/t gold, from 28m, below the old workings.

Sale of Adelong Gold Project During 2006 GCR sold its Adelong Gold Project to Tasman Goldfields Limited (ASX:TGX) for approximately $3 million plus a 1% gold production royalty capped at 2,500 oz, through the sale of GCR’s subsidiary, Challenger Mines Ltd. The first instalment of $500,000 in cash and $500,000 in shares was received in early January 2008.
