Hebrews 8 & 9
When did the glory leave the Holy of Holy?
Historical times that the Holy of Holy was plumaged and the ark was stolen and
carried away. No one died from going inside because the glory had departed.
But even though the glory of God had departed, the priest continued to go through the rituals AS IF HE WOULD DIE for entering
the Holy of Holies. It was a big play, a religious act. The would put on the bells
and go into the Holy of Holies, but there was no threat of death because the glory had
departed.
Many churches today are going through the motions of worship.
We sing our favorite songs. We preach sermons.
We build huge buildings.But there is no glory.
IF I TOOK AWAY YOUR TITLES, who would you be then. Would the sick still be healed, will the needy be helped, the
lost saved, or are you a PRIEST IN A PLAY?
The more flashy the veil, the better because it distracts people.
Hebrews 8:1-31….We have such a High Priest, who is
seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true
tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. 3For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and
sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer.

Outer Court Worship is Corporate WorshipIt’s contagious.
I’ve been in worship services in large arenas where you could see the Spirit of God moving in waves through the room.

first covenant had ordinances of divine
service and the earthly sanctuary. 2For
a tabernacle was prepared: the first
part, in which was the lamp stand, the table (altar of incense), and the showbread, which
is called the sanctuary;

3and behind the second veil , the part
of the tabernacle which is called the
Holiest of All, 4which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides
with gold.
The Holy of Holies…All By Yourself with God
Going Under the Second VeilThe Kingdom has a sound.
If you’re coming through the veil, there will be a sound.Worship and Prayer get you in.

PRAISE is about what God has done.
WORSHIP is about who God is. The Holy Spirit came to glorify Jesus. The focus of worship is JESUS.
