GOES-R Product Definition and User’s GuideThe “PUG” – A Work In Progress

Purpose: Provide product descriptions, content and format to enable end-product usability; enhance uses and

applicability of each end-product; support Government remote tele-training and public outreach.

Mission: Solicit essential user feedback on proposed PUG organization and content; support sustained interaction

between GOES-R Ground Segment developers and potential end users to accomplish product evaluation and user

training.

Opportunity: Consider eventual conversion to web-based organization; allows a matrix approach to exploring product details with “drill-down” capability (search by product, by

sensor, by algorithm, with increasing detail provided at lower/deeper levels).
