Privredna komora Beograda, jedna od najstarijih instituci-ja i asocijacija privrede i poslovnog udruživanja, tokom duge tradicije, prolazila je kroz različite forme sopstvenog organizovanja i prilagođavanja prema potrebama svojih članica u vremenu koje su diktirali procesi političkog i eko-nomskog razvoja.

Tokom trajanja od 153 godine, Privredna komora Beogra-da je u svakom periodu svog postojanja, imala jasno defi-nisano mesto u svim oblastima privrede. Datum koji ozna-čava rađanje i početak života Privredne komore Beograda je 28. februar 1857, kada je knez Aleksandar Karađorđević potpisao akt - uredbu pod nazivom USTROJENIJE TRGOVA-ČKOG ODBORA U BEOGRADU, i time su bili postavljeni te-melji privrednom udruživanju. Na osnovu Zakona o ra-dnjama donetom 29. juna 1910. čl. 117, 162, osnovane su privremene komore: Trgovinska, Zanatska, Industrijska i Radnička, a na osnovu odredbi zakona prestale su da važe sve ranije odredbe, zakoni i uredbe koji su se ticali esnafa i trgovačko-zanatlijskih odbora. Reorganizacijom iz 1962. i donošenjem Zakona o obrazovanju jedinstvenih komore, umesto granskih osnivaju se jedinstvene privredne komore za sve oblasti privrede. Iste godine osniva se Privredna ko-mora Beograda i pod istim nazivom posluje i danas.

Komora Beograda postaje uvažavan faktor i neizbežan činilac praćenja i analiziranja privrednih tokova. Komorainicira, predlaže, daje preporuke i priprema sistemska rešenja i predloge zakona, koji su od izuzetnog značaja za celokupan privredni razvoj Beograda i Srbije.

U Privrednoj komori Beograda je za potrebe privrede kontinuirano uspostavljena saradnja sa Vladom, Uni-verzitetom, naučnim institucijama i stručnim udruže-njima, sa značajnim naučnim i stručnim potencijalom. To se, pre svega odnosi na: Savez ekonomista, Savez pronalazača i autora tehničkih unapređenja, Savez inže-njera i tehničara i dr. U novom vremenu i novim uslovi-ma, nakon 2000-te godine, koje su karakterisali proces tranzicije i privatizacije društvene privrede, preduzima-ne su mere na unapređenju rada i novim organizacio-nim formama primerenim novoj poziciji Privredne ko-more Beograda i njenom uključivanju u međunaro-dne integrativne procese.

instead of specific ones. The Belgrade Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1962 and soon became respectable institution and important actor in analysing economic trends and in initiating laws crucial for economic development of Belgrade and Serbia.

For the needs of the economy, Belgrade Chamber ofCommerce continuously initiates the cooperation with Serbian Government, Belgrade University, scientific andeducational institutions, professional associations withconsiderable scientific and expert potential, such as the Serbian Economists Association, Association of Inventors,Union of Engineers and Technicians, etc. In Serbia, the year 2000 was turning point in political, social and economic sense. The beginning of the decade was characterized by transition and privatization process of large state systems. Belgrade Chamber of Commerce consequently made strong efforts to promote its activities and established new organisational units in order to support and actively participate in international integration proces. Efikasan komorski sistem je u svim uspešnim ekonomi-jama jedan od odlučujućih faktora usmeravanja pri-vrednog napretka i stvaranja razvojne i prosperitetneposlovne klime. Komorski sistem u Srbiji, nakon brojnih iskušenja u jednoj je od najdužih tranzicija ka modernom tržišnom privrednom sistemu, još uvek se kreće kroz evo-lutivna, ali reformska prilagođavanja, kako bi što bolje servisirao potrebe i interese privrede. Proaktivnost i gra-dualizam u promenama bitan su preduslov očuvanja po-verenja članstva i proširenja baze iz koje Privredna ko-mora Beograda crpi inovacije za svakodnevno unapre-đenje aktivnosti.

Strateški pravci budućeg razvoja Privredne komore Beo-grada polaze, pre svega, od zastupanja interesa privrede,stimulisanja preduzetništva i inovacija, što, osim ostvare-nja opštih interesa, ima za cilj i jačanje osećaja pripadno-sti komorskom sistemu, kao reprezentativnoj asocijaciji privrednika. Saradnja sa svim nivoima vlasti, posebno lo-kalne i zakonodavne, predstavlja imperativ za stvaranje povoljnog okruženja za priliv investicija i ubrzano usvaja-nje standarda EU. Stoga, kao predsednik, nameravam daintenziviram saradnju sa Skupštinom Grada, kao najdire-ktnijim partnerom kada je reč o privredi Beograda. Nastaviće se unapređenje tradicionalno dobrih odnosa iuspostavljanje novih sa resornim ministarsvima i loka-lnom samoupravom. Lokalni nivo treba uključivati u reali-zaciju atraktivnih projekata i povezati ga sa lokalnim par-tnerima iz inostranstva radi prenošenja dobrih iskustava.

Entrepreneurs and companies are the key economic players, being the bearers of risk and market creators. Therefore, the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce continuously innovates its portfolio of services for the members, intensively promoting those which are free-of-charge (consulting, education, information). The Chamber closely monitors the developmentof its member companies in order to meet their changing needs and offer them the adequate form of assistance and cooperation. Joint presentation at the exhibitions and trade fair in the country and abroad is a continual practice. Free services to members commenced by establishment of the Business Info Centre and were continued in the form of Affinity payment card of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and Banca Intesa, and free English language and computer courses. Sophisticated consulting services are available as well, and assistance of the team specialising in project management. In support to SME and entrepreneurshipdevelopment, the Chamber lowered the rate of membershipfees for startups.

Development Strategy of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce focuses, above all, on interests of business entities, stimulating climate for entrepreneurship and innovations,which beside realisation of general interests, aims atstrengthening the sense of belonging to the chamber of commerce system as a credible representative of businesscommunity. Cooperation with authorities at all levels, especially local and legislative ones, represents a must in creation of afavourable environment for investments and adoption of the EU standards. Therefore, it is our itention tointesify cooperation with the City Assembly as our closest partner in the context of economic development of Belgrade.Traditionally good relations will be continued and new contacts established with relevant ministries and local self-governments.
