Trip Report• 103 Attendees from all NASA Centers

– 24 (includes 5 children) attendees from Goddard• Flight out – on time and uneventful

– Changed from a 2 flight trip out of BWI to a non-stop from Dulles to Hayden. Reduced the cost of the trip by $20 and had a non-stop flight!

• Ground Transport – Short 45 minute ride to Steamboat• Lodging – The Lodge at Steamboat

– 2 or 3 bedroom condo’s within walking distance to the slopes

– Great bus service to town and the slopes if you did not want to walk

– Ski-in lodging

– It snowed the day we arrived, which was great as they had very little snow in January

– The ski conditions were awesome - It snowed every day the first 5 days and the final 2 days were bluebird days

– Had 2 big powder days (>6”)

– Did not get many pictures the first 4 days because the visibility was poor due to snow…..then the sun came out!

– Great shops and restaurants– Close to the mountain and lodging – great

transportation to town

Trip Report• Events

– Welcome party on the first night– NASA group dinner – Western BBQ

at the Top of the Gondola. Great food, drinks, live music, and dancing

– Rest day activities included Dog sledding, soaking in the hot springs, and shopping in town

• Trip home was smooth• Next year is Sun Valley Idaho!
