    After your certificate request is approved, download both the issued and intermediate certificates in your

    account. You must install both files in Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, s t a r t i n g w it h t h e in t e r m ed i a t e .

    Exchange Server 2010 requires a Multiple Domain (UCC) Certificate to run all services securely.

    To Install An SSL Certificate in Microsoft Exchange 2010

    From the S t a r t menu, clickR u n . .1.

    Type m m c , and then clickOK . The Microsoft Management Console (Console) window opens.2.

    In the Console window, click the File menu and select Ad d / R em o v e Sn a p - in . The Add or RemoveSnap-ins window displays.

    Select Cert i f icates , and then clickAd d .4.

    Select Co m p u t e r Acco u n t , and then clickNext .5.

    Select Lo ca l Co m p u t e r , and then clickFin i sh .6.

    ClickOK .7.

    In the Console window, expand the Cert i f icates folder on the left.8.

    Right-clickI n t e r m ed i a t e Ce r t i fi ca t i o n Au t h o r i t ie s , mouse-over All Task s , then clickI m p o r t .9.

    In the Certificate Import Wizard, clickNext .10.

    ClickB r o w s e to find the intermediate certificate file.11.

    Change the file extension filter to PKCS # 7 Cer t i f icates (*.spc;*.p7b) , select the*_ i i s _ i n t e r m ed i a t e s . p 7b file, and then clickO p en .

    ClickB r o w s e , select I n t e r m ed i a t e Ce r t i fi ca t i o n Au t h o r i t ie s , and then clickNext .15.

    Close the Console window.17.

    From the S t a r t menu, go to P r o g r a m s , Microsof t Excha nge 20 10 , and clickEx ch an g eM a n a g e m e n t Co n s o l e.

    In Exchan ge Cer t i fi ca t es , select your certificate.21.

    From the Act ions panel on the right, clickCo m p l e t e P en d i n g R eq u es t .22.

    ClickB r o w s e to locate the certificate file. The file extension might be .txt or .crt instead of .cer(search for a ll fi les ).

    If you receive the error, "The source data is corrupted or not properly Base64 encoded," check the Self

    Signed field. If it is True, refresh console by pressing F5 on your keyboard. If it still displays True,

    create a new CSR and then re-key your certificate.

    Select servers, then clickNext .28.

    Select services you want to assign to the certificate, then clickNext .29.
