GOD IS MOVING IN AVIANO AND VICENZA, ITALY!

This summer has been an incredible season of miraculous developments and spiritual results. Directors Rich & Rhonda Hanssen are excited and thankful for an amazing move of God in both areas. This summer both Refuge Centers in Aviano and Vicenza met at a river location near Aviano for a baptismal service with over a hundred gathering. As curious Italian onlookers gathered too, the service was translated and the gospel presented. There was communion, worship and then a picnic and 22 baptized! God opened doors and Refuge Center members were allowed to pass out gospel tracts at Aviano BX in July! Over 600 tracts were given out. This was something they only dreamed would ever happen! They then asked and were given clearance to show the Christian film, “God’s Not Dead” at the base theatre. The skeptical theater manager was astounded at the huge response after having told them not to expect more than 45 to show up. The theater was packed with over 300 and people sitting on the floor! Following the film, Rich presented the gospel message and invited people to come to Christ and many prayed out loud accepting Jesus! They then asked permission to show the film at the Army post theater in Vicenza. Initially being told it would not be possible, permission was then given but with the understanding that there would be no concession open and the Center had to provide their own sound and projection equipment. God had other arrangements! The theater manager decided to open concessions and use their equipment after all. Many in Vicenza also audibly prayed to accept Christ after the message and invitation was given by Pastor Rich. The theater managers in both communities were astounded at the overwhelming response in the com-munity. Aviano theater manager was so amazed that he gave the Center back all of their money making the event abso-lutely free! Praise God for His opening hearts and doors making this possible and for the many who received Christ. Rich writes, “We are so amazed over all the Lord is doing! People are getting saved and set on fire for the Living God. Mar-riages are being healed, prodigals are coming home, the Kingdom of God is growing and advancing, and our great God is being honored and glorified!” He declares that this is what is happening. 2 Corinthians 6:2 - For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

SIGONELLA, ITALY’S NEW HOPE CENTER SINGLE ADULT MINISTRY IS GROWING!

Pastor Andrew Provazek reports, “A little over a year ago God showed me while preaching that we would have a young army of single military who would rise up at New Hope and do something for God. Since the turn of the year this very thing is happening. We are seeing a hunger and stirring among our single adult military, some feeling the call to preach! We also have a new crop of young couples who are pushing to plug in. After a full turnover, the new group of young couples is refreshing and exciting!”

PASTOR BONG TIRU - CLARKVIEW, PHILIPPINES DEDICATES PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE FACILITY

A new door was recently opened and a great honor con-

ferred upon Pastor Tiru in Angeles City, Philippines. The

505th Search and Rescue Group – Philippine Air Force

asked Pastor Tiru to pray and dedicate their new facilities

in Clark Air Force City. We thank the Lord for this oppor-

tunity and pray it will perhaps lead to further opportuni-

ties to interface and influence this area for God’s glory.

FREEDOM OUTREACH - MINISTRY TO THE MILITARY August 28. 2014

COG GENERAL ASSEMBLY – FOI/MTTM DISPLAY AND RECEPTION

Freedom Outreach/MTTM had a new display at the 75th Church of God General Assembly held July 28-August 1, 2014 in Orlando, FL. Two new banners proudly displayed pictures that depict this ministry and the people involved. There was an information table that had lots of visitors and was staffed by volunteers the entire week. On Thursday evening after the worship service, a Friends and Alumni Reception was held at the convention center and saw a

large gathering there. Reconnecting from around the globe and the USA, it was a great time of fellowship. Assistant General

Overseer, Dr. Wallace Sibley and Dorothy were with us, as well as, MTTM Board Members, FOI Board Members, chaplains,

and USA Missions Coordinator, Bishop James Cossey and Myrlene.

A SUMMER OF MIRACULOUS PROVISION FOR YOUTH MINISTRIES – JACOB’S GENERATION

FOI/MTTM Youth Ministries ‘Jacob’s Generation’ under the direction of Jennie Humann has experienced an unprecedented summer of miracle provisions in undertaking 4 summer teen camps this year. For the first time in Europe, a middle school and a high school camp were held near Mons, Belgium. With limited funds and staff, this was a great faith venture, but God showed His mighty power in supplying scholarships for campers, operational funds, and workers. August camps are being held at the same time in Okinawa and in England. Scores of young lives have been impacted and changed forever! Jennie reported that 25 received Jesus and 44 rededicated their lives to Christ in the Belgium camps. A 12 year old girl from Germany said that, “He touched my heart and I could feel His love”, and a 13 year old boy living in Italy said that, “Jesus/God has opened my heart to Him”. Praise God for these and the many testimonies that were given.

VILSECK, GERMANY CENTER DEDICATES NEW FACILITY

Pastor Steve & Mary Edwards and the folks at New Life in

Vilseck, Germany recently moved into a much larger facility in a

great location. A lot of hard work renovating and painting was

done to prepare the building , transforming it into a place of

worship. Bishop Willie and Carolyn Courtney and Sister Glenna

Andrew were the honored guests at the special dedication on

Sunday, August 10, 2014. It was a very blessed and special time

of worship and praise to God. Praise God for His blessings and

help in this tremendous milestone!

MISAWA, JAPAN HOLDS BAPTISMAL SERVICE

Interim Center Directors Butch & Keiko Alston in Misawa,

Japan recently had a baptismal service in the cold waters

of a lake near the base. Several young people who had

accepted Jesus were baptized. It was a special time of

celebration of their new spiritual birth.

THANKS TO BISHOP DAVID VANOY

At the reception held at the recent COG General Assembly,

Bishop Vanoy was recognized and honored for his 16 years of

service as Southern Command Regional Director. He has faith-

fully served in this position with MTTM, coordinating events

and attending to special issues and challenges in Puerto Rico

and Panama. We appreciate his involvement and ministry and

pray God’s rich blessings as he steps down in this ministry

role.

NEW CENTER DIRECTORS, GREG & MICHELLE PERKINS

JOIN MTTM TEAM IN S.H.A.P.E., BELGIUM In July, Greg Perkins flew to Belgium to assume the leader-ship role at the S.H.A.P.E. International Worship Center in St., Denis. Greg and his wife Michelle who joined him in August have served as Pastors, and a staff pastor at a church in Vir-ginia prior to their move. He is a retired Marine and Michelle is prior service with the Navy. They have 3 grown children, 1 daughter in her 1st year of college and one grandson in the States. We welcome them to the team and ask for prayer for them as they transition to this ministry
