Dear Friends, Greetings from Jerusalem! This will be my last letter to you from the Holy City. It is said of Jerusalem that it is the closest place on earth to heaven. I turned 65 on June 2nd. I purposely kept it quiet because I didn’t want any big fanfare. The only thing I wanted to do on my birthday was to spend the day in Bethlehem. I got my wish and then some. I met up with a group of pilgrims from St James Church in Fremont. This was totally un-expected! I concelebrated Mass with the two priests leading the pilgrimage in the Grotto
of the Nativity where Jesus was born. It is always an honor and privilege to celebrate Mass, but to celebrate Mass in the very place Jesus was born, is beyond words! God is good! After Mass, sitting outside Nativity Church, I was looking at my emails and was blown away by how many pa-rishioners wrote wishing me a happy birthday and a happy 18th Anniversary of Priestly Ordination. This was the icing on the cake! I can’t get over all your good wishes and expressions of love sent me halfway around the world. It made my birthday a truly special day and one I will never forget. I am humbled by your kindness! God is indeed very good! I wanted to write to all the people who had written me, but that proved impossible. I got so many birthday emails that it would take me now until I leave Jerusalem on July 2nd to answer them all, thus the main pur-pose of this letter. My time in Rome and Jerusalem has been challenging at times, but mostly good. I will have many memories and stories to share with you when I return. Looking forward to seeing all of you on July 5th and thanking you, personally, for all your good wishes. Father Brian

Our Lady's "Peace Plan from Heaven"
At Fatima, Our Lady prom-ised that in the end her Im-maculate Heart Will Tri-umph, Russia will be con-verted, and some time of peace will be granted to the world. The final triumph can come soon, without a lot of blood shed. Or, it will come after war and terrible disasters, that may see the greater part of humanity wiped off the face of the earth. Each of us following Mary's Peace Plan will make the difference!
"WHAT CAN I DO?" Start by observing Our Lady's requests at Fatima:
Our Lady's "Peace Plan from Heaven" 1. Say the Rosary every day. 2. Offer up your daily tasks as a sacrifice in reparation for your own sins and sins of others. 3. Make 5 First Saturdays 4. Wear a Scapular as a sign of personal consecration. Our Lady of Loretto parish has committed to having in-formation, explanations, and materials available for you.
NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF

Salmo -- Te ensalzaré, Señor, porque me has librado (Salmo 30 [29]).
