Key Performance Indicators

• Percentage of students enrolled in NC Math 1 course overall who pass with
a C or better and in comparison to proportional representation.
• Percentage of students enrolled in NC Math 1 course who pass with a C or
better in each grade level (7th, 8th and 9th) overall and in comparison to
proportional representation.
KPI Baseline Data Findings 2016-17
• In 2016-17, 75.6% of students enrolled in Math 1 earned a grade of C or better.
• White students outperformed Black students by 22 percentage points and Hispanic students by 19 percentage points.
• Female students had higher rates of obtaining a C or better than male students.
• Hispanic and White English Learners (EL) underperformed when compared to their Non-EL peers, particularly male EL students.
• The gaps between Students with Disabilities (SWD) and their non-disabled peers for all race-ethnicities ranged from 24 to 30 percentage points.
