Here are some problems.
![Page 3: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
American jobs are going overseas.
![Page 4: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
We are becoming dependent on other countries.
![Page 5: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
![Page 6: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
U.S. Child Labor laws and the unions are contributing to higher prices of products; making us less competitive in the world.
![Page 7: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Other countries can’t afford the higher cost of the American products.
![Page 8: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
U.S. does not impose tariffs on China’s products.
![Page 9: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
China is taking over the world’s economy.
![Page 10: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
Autarchy means that the U.S. would isolate itself from the world’s economy, which would make the products’ price increase.
![Page 11: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
The U.S. is part of the global economy, and
can’t isolate itself from the rest of the world.
![Page 12: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Here are some solutions!
![Page 13: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
Buy things that were made in the U.S. or even better—your own state!
![Page 14: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Advertise more on locally made products.
![Page 15: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
The U.S. needs to get other countries to agree to have a fair trade policy with us.
![Page 16: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
We need to work together.
![Page 17: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
Put tariffs on imports.
![Page 18: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
Put a quota on imports.
![Page 19: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
Don’t shop at Walmart.
![Page 20: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
Check the labels to see the country of origin of the product.
![Page 21: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
Companies shouldn’t put imports on their shelves.
![Page 22: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
Globalization is appealing because people can purchase products at a lower price.
![Page 23: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
Globalization creates specialization because a country has a tradition in manufacturing a certain product-- more efficiently, less expensive, and higher quality than anywhere else in the world.
![Page 24: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
Therefore, these countries become well known around the world for manufacturing a certain product, and need less advertising.
![Page 25: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
India is well known for it’s textile industry, manufacturing high quality cotton apparel.
![Page 26: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)
Countries can use resources specific to their unique location and climate that we wouldn’t otherwise have.
![Page 27: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
South Africa is well known for their high quality diamonds that can’t be found anywhere else in the world.
![Page 28: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
The U.S. can’t impose on other countries to change their trade policy because of sovereignty.
![Page 29: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
Globalization can offer products at a lower price, but the down side is that if our jobs go overseas, then we wouldn’t be able to afford any of these low price products.
![Page 30: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
The U.S. should negotiate with other countries to change their trading policy; to ensure that it is equally advantageous for everyone.
![Page 31: Globalization](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022070316/55618231d8b42aac268b563d/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
Do your part, and buy American made products!
