GLOBAL LEADERSHIP OFFICE

Area Team Leaders ● Pray for the October Extraordinary ET-ATL Summit: Ask for God's clarity for plans and

decisions to be made.

● Pray for effective use of CCCI core documents at the national level.

● Pray for full support for all team members.

Global Church Movements ● One of the core contributions of GCM is training multiplying leaders. Pray that many

thousands of these leaders would be trained in coming months. Ask God to mold them to have hearts for the lost and a burden for the lost. A key prayer request is that they would catch the vision of multiplication of groups and churches along the lines of II Timothy 2:2.

● The Global Forum for the Global Alliance for Church Multiplication (GACX) will be held in Denver, 9-11 October. GACX has over 70 member denominations and churches, and among its purposes are to inspire and support existing churches to multiply and to facilitate the sharing of resources and responsibilities, so that every person in the world has a vibrant church nearby. The theme of the forum is “Unfinished Tapestry,” and it will feature the largest and most diverse selection of speakers in the history of the forums as well as featuring abundant networking opportunities. Pray that God would give wisdom to the speakers, that collaboration among those attending would abound, and that the result would be rapid multiplication of churches throughout the world.

● Lift up a difficult situation in an undisclosed country. Several church leaders with whom GCM cooperates as well as some of the key GCM leaders in that region of the country were recently called in by the police for questioning. These leaders oversee hundreds of churches, and many of them have been forced to close. Pray that God would sustain the faith of the church leaders and give them wisdom in working with the police. Ask God to cause the churches to multiply even more in the aftermath of this situation.

Global Digital Strategies ● Pray for two million people to be known and moving in our spiritual multiplication

pathways by 31 December 2018. “Known & Moving” is about more than counting people; it’s about building relationships with our digital users, and helping them move closer towards Christ. Pray that these spiritual engagements on Cru ecosystem bring people closer to Jesus, spiritual growth, and fruitfulness.

● Pray for Cru to grow as a Digitally Mature organization as we are working to see 50 countries or MCC strategy teams start using [and helping to fund] an integrated (seamless) digital content strategy to increase ministry impact.

● More than 38 cities are hosting a global Indigitous #HACK event, October 19-21. This is the third time we are facilitating the ever-growing networks of digital missionaries and experts who are very passionate about using their talent for the digital mission.

● Please pray for the upcoming major Digital Strategy Summit in Buenos Aires, April 2019. We are bringing together over 100 leaders for a spiritual leadership and digital strategy conference. In addition to spiritual deepening and professional development, we will seek the Lord for a collective vision for the next 3-5 years in our digital direction to serve the entire movement. One of our primary outcomes will be helping national ministries increase their ministry fruitfulness through using our suite of digital tools.

Global LeaderImpact   ● Pray for our upcoming materials writing project where we bring in staff to work on follow-

up and discipleship materials for leaders, starting in October. Completion target is April 2019.

● Pray for distribution of current materials, including our new Integrated Life Studies and our Start-up Guide.

● We are praising God for the expansion into 280 cities so far this year. Our original target was just 250 cities for 2018. 

Global Student-Led Movements ● Please pray for the Global Student Launch week – Officially happening Nov 4-10, but at

other times in different countries. October is a student-initiated month of prayer to prepare hearts and to ask the Lord of the harvest for more than 1,000 new campus movement launches and for 10,161 key volunteers to reach 50% of the world’s campuses by 2020.

● Please pray for our Global SLM leadership team. There have been several changes in area team leaders. We are focusing on encouraging one another in how we are abiding in Jesus and desiring Him to bear fruit in and through our lives. We are seeking to better share leadership as we trust the Lord together for Every Student to hear the Gospel, a movement on Every Campus and Leaders for Every Nation.

● As Global SLM we have a priority focus on getting the gospel to a majority religion group. The warring factions in the Middle East and terrorism have caused an identity crisis and confusion about their own beliefs. Praise the Lord for how He is using all this to work in the hearts, even through dreams and visions, of people from this group around the world, to bring increasing numbers to Himself.

● Praise the Lord for the establishment of university movements made up of believers from the majority religion in many countries. Pray that movements of these believers would spread to more campuses as they travel to nearby campuses to share their faith and train new believers. Pray for boldness, protection and fruitfulness as they share their faith with others. Pray for the development of effective digital tools to find, mobilize and equip Key Volunteers among them so that the gospel can go out to those in the most restricted countries.

Global Advancement ● Fund Development Training for Local Ministry Teams: Pray for the many teams that

have been trained in the past year to step out in faith and raise their team budgets from local partners. Pray that this will result in hundreds of new ministry partners, who will become part of the vision of reaching their countries for Christ. More trainings are planned for 2019.

● Pray for our events team as they seek to find the best venue for the 2019 Global Briefing for ministry partners and a strategy to acquire new major donors.

● Pray for our Global Reps as they minister to our ministry partners and fundraise throughout the year-end. 

Global LDHR (Leadership Development and Human Resources) ● Please pray that the Lord Himself would be the desire of our hearts (Psalm 73:25). Pray

for Psalm 130:5-6 to be true of us.

● In light of our 2020 goals, and beyond, let's ask the Lord to raise up additional leaders throughout the movement.o Pray for executive, area, national and local leaders to think wisely about developing

and challenging new leaders.o Pray for the ability to recognize potential in our staff and volunteers.o Pray for good developmental feedback conversations to be held at all levels of the

ministry.

● In light of our 2020 goals, and beyond, let's ask the Lord to increase the Great Commission workforce, whether through multiplication or mobilization. Pray that all of our staff would have a Kingdom mindset and consistently look for ways to involve volunteers, to partner and to give the ministry away to others. Pray for wisdom and grace as we initiate with leaders in the body of Christ for potential partnering.

Global Operations ● Pray for the worldwide roll-out of NetSuite, a new financial management platform that will

be used by nearly every ministry around the world. Pray for a smooth implementation process over the next 16 months, for wisdom and patience for finance teams in the adjustment, and the resulting better stewardship of resources and saving time for our finance teams, leaders and staff. Pray for the first "wave" of ministries that will start using NetSuite as of October 9. There are many people working long hours to prepare for this roll-out. Pray for strength, diligence and focus, enough help and good communication.

● Pray for God to raise up needed laborers for roles in finance, technology, analytics, events, legal and administrative roles around the world in each area and country.

● Pray for each of the roughly 1,600 staff members serving in operations roles around the world, to walk daily with Jesus and serve from an overflow of the Holy Spirit's power.  

International Leadership Foundation (ILF) ● Praise God that the English version of “I See A New Africa" (ISANA) music video is

completed! Pray for launch of the video and ISANA campaign, with the goal of starting and sustaining a movement of Africans working to see that dream become reality.

● Pray for continued impact and expansion of the Leadership and Development Studies (LADS) and Young Leaders League (Y2L) into more schools and countries across Africa. 

● Ask the Lord for His guidance and wisdom as the ILF team seeks to more effectively utilize social media.

Women’s Resources

● Pray for Judy Douglass as she finalizes and publishes her book, When You Love a Prodigal: 90 Days of Grace for the Wilderness.

● Pray for the Women's Resources Digital Team. We are currently in the formation stages of team development. Ask God to help us develop as a healthy team. We have team meetings the week of October 8-12.

CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEArea Team Leader: Marek and Ala Wyrzykowski

ALBANIA AND KOSOVO ● Launching SLM in a new city called Durres, which has the fastest growing campus in

country; and preparing for launching a ministry with teachers and young professionals in Kosovo.

● Decentralizing our missions outside Albania, by having each local team adopt a country to pray and send groups of staff and key volunteer leaders serve there on short mission trips.

● Building a ministry center for evangelism, training and discipleship of Albanian students, teachers, and young professionals.

BELARUS ● Different MCC Teams’ (FamilyLife, SLM, GCM) growth and numerical expansion, and

good health of staff and volunteers;

● Financial Support: Personal and Ministry;

● New projects and ministry activities to run smoothly and unhindered for this ministry year, and good cooperation with churches.

BOSNIA ● We have had a lot of changes in our ministries over the spring and summer. We are

starting the ministry year with a new team in Mostar, including 3 STINTers, and significantly reduced staff in Sarajevo. Please pray for us as we begin to get to know each other and bond as a team. Pray for the STINTers as they adjust to life in Bosnia.

● Mostar campus team: Pray that we would have a successful student outreach on October 27 that would help us meet our goal of 300 student contacts. Pray that students would have a desire to come and be a part of studying the Bible together and knowing more of who God is.

● Sarajevo campus team: Pray for a fruitful partnership with EUS (another missionary organization) this fall and for successful student outreaches and language courses that we will organize together.

BULGARIA ● God to raise up more new staff members and volunteers in the next 1-3 years in every

ministry - Student, Student Venture, AIA, GCM, OPS and Digital Strategies. All to have our Cru DNA.

● God to provide financial independence for all the staff till the end of the academic year. The third last phase of MPD is coming up in January and February 2019.

● We are planning to have Speak Out project next summer - pray for unity and good communication between the leaders and all the staff and volunteers that will be involved. God to provide the right tutors, students and all the support.

CROATIA ● For reorganization of our SLM; refreshed vision and new staff and volunteers

● For developing partnerships, and recruiting both volunteers and new staff all around Croatia for all our movements-SLM, LI, FL and AIA.

● That the Lord would provide finances for our two AIA couples--both are in a process of raising support to join staff full time.

CZECH REPUBLIC ● That visa process for the STINTers would go quickly and smoothly, unlike in the past.

● Wisdom and efficient work on preparation for NetSuite implementation for the Czech ministry.

● That the students (high school and college) we have already met during the first month here will continued to be pursued by the Lord and that our team will continue to follow up with these students and dig in deeper to the gospel message.

MACEDONIA ● Pray for us as we learn how to be catalysts for volunteer-led movements.

● Pray that God would work in the hearts of Albanians in Macedonia so that they would come to know Him. Also pray that we would have a growing heart to know them more and show them God’s love in culturally relevant ways.

● Pray for us as we look beyond our borders. In the next 3-5 years we would like to build capacity to reach the whole country of Macedonia, the Balkans and beyond, becoming a sending country that provides trainings and resources for winning, building, and sending unique, multiplying, and independent teams, in synergy with the Body of Christ.

MOLDOVA ● Pray for the process of choosing a new national leader and clarity for the future for Alena

and Igor Tkachenko, who are stepping out of this role.

● For a close walk with God for each missionary.

● For the spiritual growth of the disciples and that they would be full of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

MONTENEGRO ● Our faith goals for our first six weeks on campus: we want to reach 5,000 Montenegrin

students online and in person with a survey that would gauge their interest level talking more about faith and how/if it relates to daily life. We are asking God to connect us to 25 different students interested in reading the Bible with us on a regular basis, on their own or come to Bible study. And our last faith goal is that each of our believing students would

commit to sharing his or her faith 3 times, go out sharing with us or come on appointments with us/also talk through their faith goals.

● That the Lord would give us favor in carrying out details especially in the surveys, and with connecting to the people whose hearts He is working on!

● For students to see their need for God and that they wouldn’t be satisfied with nominal faith but would see and crave for a deep relationship with God!

● That God would give us favor in students’ eyes, that they’d see us and experience us as safe welcoming people whom they can talk about these things with. Students are not used to talking about faith with other people.

POLAND ● We are thankful for one Polish staff family who was sent to South Asia this year.

● Please pray for Polish staff---for the first love in our relationship with the Lord.

● Please pray for new laborers for God’s harvest in Poland.

ROMANIA ● Please pray for many university students to come to Christ and to dedicate their lives to

serving Jesus. Pray that our disciples will have disciples and that they will train them well to build spiritual movements.

● Pray that our staff will experience a semester of great growth as they focus on developing their strengths and talents. Pray that we will have an atmosphere of encouragement and faith as we seek to serve the Lord in new ways.

● Please pray that we would have a very strong start in the new school year and that God would help us multiply the laborers by collaborating with students who have a heart to minister to their peers.

RUSSIA ● For greater numbers of new believers to join our movements this academic year.

● For new national-level leaders to be raised up within the next 1- 3 years to take roles on various MCC leadership teams.

● For New Life Russia to make significant progress in the areas of Operations and Finances this coming academic year.

SERBIA ● We are very thankful for everyone that heard the Gospel in Mirijevo (part of Belgrade city).

Please pray that this seed brings fruit and that people, young and adult, can be saved.

● We are grateful to the Lord for new churches, pastors and volunteers who want to work with us in joint projects using our materials.

SLOVAKIA ● SLM: Pray for the new structure and leadership in SLM, that God will use it in His ways

and do what He wants to do in Slovakia and among students. Pray that they will be leaders who love and follow Jesus and serve Him.

● GCM: Our team is smaller again (4 people), so we need to understand what God wants us to do. Please pray for our understanding of His will.

● DS: Pray that we would learn how to effectively plug people from the fruitful online ministry into local churches.

SLOVENIA ● That our Christian students would have vision for what God could do this semester and

that they would take steps of faith as they trust Him to reach their classmates.

● For our first Bible study meeting of the year - that God would use it to form a group of believing students who are living in community and seeking Jesus.

UKRAINE ● Partnership: Please, pray for building partnerships with the main evangelical unions,

seminaries and Christian colleges as one of our strategic steps for this year, so we could come together in reaching Ukraine.

● Sending : please, pray that God would guide us in choosing the country we need to focus on. Pray that God would raise up a team and and a team leader within this year or so. Please, pray that we would be ready to take care of them and equip them for the mission.

● Please, pray God would raise a new leader for our Operations team within this year.

EAST ASIA ORIENTArea Team Leader: Dr. Sung-Min and Yoon Hee Park

PRAISE

The last Worldwide Day of Prayer on April 24, we took time to pray for the Korean Peninsula. God answered our prayers - the two Korean leaders met on April 27 and agreed to end Korean War. God also answered our prayers when Trump and Kim shook hands and met in Singapore on June 12. It was a historic meeting and brought a global breakthrough. God indeed answered our prayers. Praise the Lord!

REQUESTS

● Pray for our leaders to be sustained by strong prayer support, especially strong prayer support from their wives. (Jeremiah 31:22)

● Please ask God to change the spiritual climate and increase the spiritual temperature in EAOrt countries to share the gospel.

● Pray for love & unity in each team of EAOrt countries, according to John 13:35 & Acts 2:44-47.

COMMON NEED: Please pray that our staff members in Japan and Mongolia will be able to raise their full financial support.

JAPAN ● Pray for the start of the second semester, that God will raise up many multiplying

disciples from all the campuses in the different cities. We will have a National SLM forum in Tokyo from Oct 8-10. Pray for all SLM staff who are attending that they will come with a teachable spirit. We will talk about new discipleship material, digital strategy, alumni ministry toward 100% sent, and vision of new frontier.

● Pray for the preparation for Student-Led Global Campus Launch Week (Nov 3-10). Pray that the students will catch the vision for opening new campuses as they fellowship with Taiwan students who will be in Japan for a mission trip. Pray for our core group of students that as they interact with the mission trippers, they will come up with a good strategy to reach new campuses in each city.

● Pray for Men's Retreat (Oct 10-11) and Women's Retreat (Oct 30-Nov 1). Pray that God's presence will be very real throughout the retreats, and for His leading throughout the planning process. Pray that each of us may be refreshed by spending quality quiet time and with open ears will listen to the Lord.

KOREA ● KCCC: Thank God that we are celebrating our 60th anniversary. Thank God for using us

to share the gospel to many generations of people. Thank God for raising many spiritual multipliers that are committed to help fulfill the Great Commission. Continually ask God to renew and commit to our vision & mission of seeing the gospel reach everyone both in Korea and the world. Pray that as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of KCCC and the 50th anniversary of the Nazarene Brothers on Nov 3, that all glory will be given to God.

● Taekwondo in Action: Thank God for giving us opportunities to teach how to use Taekwondo to share Jesus in Colombia. Continue to pray for open doors in schools and campuses for TIA ministry with the start of the second semester.

● Worship and Prayer: Pray for many to join the worship and prayer times in Seoul for the unification of the two Koreas. Thank God for the increase in the political activities between the two. Pray for more concerted prayer efforts for campus students to hear the gospel.

MONGOLIA ● Praise God for encouraging us as we experienced His hand at work in expanding our

ministry impact and seeing the growth of spiritual movements everywhere.

● Thank you so much for your prayers and concern for our extension of registration. Please pray that God will deliver us in such difficult and uncertain times. Please ask our

Lord to work in the hearts of the authorities that our ‘work’ is legitimate and we are making a positive impact in society.

● Thanks to God for our all staff conference, "Healthy Staff & Healthy Movements" that was held in August. During this time, we learnt about clinical psychology and our souls. Please pray that our staff teams will apply their knowledge through this training and they will seek to live a well-balanced life.

● Please pray for our leaders as we undergo this season of transition. Pray for oneness as the new national leadership learns to work and relate with one another.

PAKISTAN PRAISE

● Praise God that we were able to start community groups, hold trainings, and conduct medical camps in different areas.

● Praise God for our summer camp this year. More than 70 students and associates participated.

● Praise God for a new missionary couple helping our Operations team.

REQUESTS

● Pray for the Multiplying Discipleship Training from September, that the participants will grow in their commitment to be spiritual multipliers. We have already conducted two MD trainings and raised 30 MDs.

● Pray for the preparation of the New Staff Training, as we plan to start it from October 2018. Pray for the recruitment and interview of potential new staff, for funds needed for the training, and that the new staff will be able to raise their financial needs.

● We organized a Find Treasure program in February. More than 50 students join us every week. Please pray for the preparation of Find Treasure 2.

● Pray for our financial support as more than 40 staff members have raised only 20% of their goal.

SINGAPORE MOLD

● Pray for Cru Singapore leaders, staff, and volunteers to live significantly for God (Ephesians 2:10)! May each staff grow to be God-attentive, God-dependent and God-responsive to live out God’s purposes and glorify Him!

MULTIPLY

● Pray for Cru Singapore as we embark on a three-year initiative to help people L.I.V.E. significantly (LiveSg). LiveSg seeks to encourage people to L-ove God and others, I-gnite your passion, V-enture out in faith and E-ncourage someone today! Pray for the multiplication of such lives beyond the usual reach of our ministry platforms.

MOBILIZE

● 2018 has been marked as Year of Prayer for the Church in Singapore; 2019 as the Year of Proclamation. LoveSingapore is a unity prayer network of churches in Singapore. We are joining LoveSingapore to mobilize 50,000 believers to gather at our National Stadium on 7 October to intercede for our nation. Pray for God to open many doors for partnership as we trust Him to mobilize, train and equip the churches in Singapore using TheFour evangelism tool strategy.

TAIWAN MOLD

● May God renew the first love of our staff and disciples. Ask the Lord to break down the strongholds that are hindering us from walking closely with Him. Pray that the Holy Spirit will continually purify our hearts and give us a desire to return to our first love.

MULTIPLY

● Please pray for the many partnerships, disciples and ministries that God has given us, that our work will not be a ministry machine but we could truly multiply lives of Christlikeness through our movement.

MOBILIZE

● Pray for more multiplying disciples to be raised up among GCM, SLM, Leader Impact and other ministries of our movements.

FRANCOPHONE AFRICAArea Team Leader: Djasrabe and Cosette Siangar

ANGOLA PRAISE

● The health and protection of all the families of the staff members and for the peace He gives us as a country.

● The expansion of our ministry. Indeed, through GCM we are establishing more and more partnerships with Christian platforms and some important Christian denominations of our country; and SLM is reaching new universities through its Catalytic Strategy.

REQUESTS

● The success of the MAGDALENA Congress, 1-6 October. We intend to train 300 women leaders and expose 1,000 others in a momentum activity to boost this strategy.

● Revitalization of our partnerships with church platforms and major denominations of our country for the acceleration of our 2020 objectives.

● Pray for our staff members’ financial support, for our activities, and for our administration to be self-funded.

BURKINA FASO ● Let's continue to pray for the recruitment of new staff members because some hear the

call but hesitate because of the need for financial support; also pray for the mobilization of more volunteers.

● Pray for our different projects: the recording of Magdalena in Moré and Walking with Jesus in Jula and Cerma in September and October; the training of at least two people for the recording of films; for the JESUS film team that will be here for a November campaign in the city of Ouagadougou.

● Pray for the goals in our plan to be reached this year, so we can have 200 people attend the conference on mobilization of volunteers next March in Abidjan.

CAMEROON PRAISE

● Thank God who in His faithfulness has protected the staff members who are in war zones (North-West and South-West Regions). They continue to minister despite the unrest. 

REQUESTS

● Pray that God will lead us to set up a board of trustees for the national ministry.

● Give thanks to God for ministry partners who have faithfully supported our staff and ministry. May God lead us to a competent accountant who will be effective in the work.

● Give thanks to God for partnership plans with Wycliffe for the purpose of raising up volunteers. Pray that God would give us the ability to raise up 300 volunteers for volunteer training in February and for an effective training.

CHAD PRAISE

● The health (moral, physical and spiritual), the many kinds of protection and support that God gives to the families of the staff, and to ministry partners. For the total commitment of staff members and multiplying disciples to minister despite social and economic crisis. God's support for the 800 young people staying in churches for 45 days, fleeing the persecution of forced traditional initiation.

REQUESTS

● Let us pray that our faith objectives of raising up 65,000 multiplying disciples, planting 5,000 new churches, and raising up 5,000 intercessors across Chad by 2020, would be achieved for the glory of God. May He raise up resources to train and send 100 missionaries among the unreached peoples.

● Pray for the preparations for Camp Sinai in August 2019. More than 500 students and young professionals are expected. May God give wisdom to the Steering Committee in the elaboration of the program, the choice of speakers, the mobilization of finances to cover the budget.

● May an IBS training session planned for 1-13 October be effective with His help.

CÔTE D’IVOIRE ● Pray to God for the elimination of the financial deficit of our country by December and for

financial abundance for the staff and the operations of the ministry.

● Pray for success of missionary mobilization 2020, partnering with Burkina Faso.

● Pray for effective discipleship in the major components, especially LeaderImpact.

GABON ● Praise the Lord for the results achieved through involvement of the Disciples of each of

our four Components (SLM, LeaderImpact, GCM and Digital), and the loyalty of Ministry Partners. Let's continue to pray for discipleship that leads to recruitment of full-time staff members, firm in their calling, for upcoming new staff training cycles.Let us pray to the Lord for volunteers who would be available, with a heart for God and an ardent desire to reproduce spiritually. Let’s add the need for financial means for the mobilization of the 100 disciples and leaders of our four Components (SLM, LeaderImpact, GCM and DS), during the training from February 8 to 10, 2019 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, as part of the Mobilization 2020 initiative.

● Pray for peace, security and protection during the legislative and local elections on 6 October. Pray for the restoration of the country's economy.

● May the Lord bless us during an intensive MPD Blitz, starting October 12, to meet staff support and Operations needs. Continue to pray for a building that will serve as CPC Gabon's SLM Office near Omar Bongo Ondimba University, to facilitate discipleship and training activities.

GUINEA CONAKRY ● Lift up in prayer the partnership with the churches and missions of Guinea:

● For the revitalization of this network to accelerate the multiplication of churches,

● For collaboration with other missions and churches toward establishment of 15 new churches by the end of the year.

● Pray for SLM activities - the motivation of staff members and students in the field. May volunteers experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit and fulfill the spiritual objectives.

● Pray for financial resources to continue the mobilization and continuity in the supervision of the released prisoners.

MALI ● Pray for peace, stability and security in our country especially with the post-election

dispute and the approach of the parliamentary election in October and November.

● Pray for these strategic projects: TATA VERT POUR CHRIST (Green Wall or Fortress for Christ) so that many churches would be planted with many multiplying disciples. Pray especially for BAMAKO TEA GROUPS and 100 NEW CHURCHES, so that their goals would be fully achieved.

● May all Malian staff members experience a renewal of their calling and be fully committed and motivated in the activities of the ministry. Pray for the recruitment of two new staff members and 50 new associates.

NIGER ● Praise God for results of the 21 Villages for Christ Project and for the missionary trip

undertaken by fifteen students in August.

● For the consolidation of faith and unwavering commitment of the core SLM disciples. Ask God to send four additional staff members.

● Please pray about the repair of our premises.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO ● We praise God for the extension of our movement into the 26 provinces of the DRC.

Pray for the acceleration of our 2020 objectives, i.e. to train 110,000 Multiplying Disciples and establish 56000 new churches.

SENEGAL ● Pray for accelerated church planting at the national level and a vehicle for supervision of

churches inside the country. We thank God for the 38 churches planted in the interior of the country by GCM workers. Praise Him that denominational leaders were challenged for partnership with Cru.

● Ask Him for JESUS film equipment for the six recorded languages and for other financial needs for the ministry (printing of evangelistic material, training, etc.) and for staff support.

● A MINISTRY DIRECTED NOT ONLY BY STAFF BUT ALSO VOLUNTEERS. We are present in 160 cities, 560 universities, 32 countries. Only half of these cities are run by staff members, the other half by volunteers.

● GREAT PROGRESS in the formation of integrated city movements in some 15 cities on the continent.

REQUESTS

● Pray that dozens of city movements will arise in all the LAC countries as a result of the Agora conference, Sept. 12-16, attended by 1,300 people. 75% were volunteers: students, professionals, etc.

● Pray that the national leaders and coordinators can begin to develop relationships with the new contacts / donors arising from Agora and convert those temporary donations into permanent ones.

● Pray for the preparation of translation, design and printing of materials for the first training on Fundamentals of Sustainability, November 2-9 in Quito, Ecuador. Pray that the participants in the training -- teams from Brazil, Mexico, Suriname and Ecuador -- can embrace the challenges they will be exposed to, along with the new concepts, ideas and practices for raising funds for projects.

Water For Life Initiative ● Pray for the safety of our national staff and church planting teams in Benin, Togo and

Tanzania as they travel to remote villages on unsafe roads with drilling equipment. Relief and Development● Pray for GAiN’s ongoing work with internally displaced people (IDPs) in Syria. Please

pray for the staff and volunteers of the local ministry and church that they would continue to serve IDPs with joy and take every opportunity to help meet people’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

● Pray for the chaplaincy program in Paraguay, that partners with our micro-finance partner. These chaplains minister faithfully to the groups of women who have received loans and are seeing many lives changed. Please pray for wisdom for the chaplains and that more chaplains would come forward to serve.

Women and Children● Pray for the administrator of the Upendo Children’s Center in Tanzania, and his family as

he gives leadership to the center. We are very thankful for his great care for the children and his heart to see them grow personally and in their relationships with the Lord.

● Pray for Mukti Mission in India. Their international board meetings are in November. Please pray for the board as they give leadership to Mukti Mission in their work with destitute women and children. Please pray for strength and perseverance for the Mukti staff as they serve faithfully in challenging circumstances.

JESUS Film Church Planting Strategy

● Praise the Lord that our current region of ministry in Sierra Leone has become saturated and our church planting teams are moving into a new region! Please pray for the national leadership, that they would have wisdom in this move and that doors would continue to open, to see many more churches planted and people come to know Christ.

● Pray for our church planting teams in Mexico, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Please pray for their safety as they travel and minister in difficult situations. Please pray that they would be encouraged as they seek to see people come to Christ and grow in their faith.

● Pray as FamilyLife Canada celebrates 30 years of ministry, pray with thanksgiving for all who have served and supported over those years and for the good fruit God has brought through their efforts.

● Pray for God's favor on FamilyLife Canada's initiative with indigenous people. There will be a training summit in November with ministry events in the following months among Canada's First Nations.

Life Project

● We are encouraged by the growing interest to partner from other ministries and countries within Cru, including India, Indonesia, Latin America and Caribbean, among others. Please ask God for wisdom in further developing fruitful partnerships for online ministry.

● Please pray for great wisdom to navigate the quickly changing waters of ministry online. Technology changes can be a challenge and some can raise ethical questions as well. Culture changes can bring a need to adapt our mentoring approach in order for conversations to develop.

The lure of materialism and living a comfortable life can be a hindrance for people to say yes to Jesus, and/or for Christians stepping into full time missions work, impacting our recruitment for workers for the harvest.

● Pray about the strongholds we face with universities and educational systems. There are locations where we are banned from campuses, thus having significant impact on how ministry functions. Pray for bans to be removed. Pray for creativity in connecting with students. Pray for the Holy Spirit to break down the barriers and for true spiritual revival to happen in these specific locations.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICAAthletes in Action

● Please praise God for the recent acceleration in our "Campaign for Every" goals designed to advance Athletes in Action's mission in significant ways over the next 50 years.

● Thank God for His favor, blessing, protection and kindness toward the AIA in 65 countries worldwide.

● We are pioneering a "digital campus" that will contain a Leadership Institute, a Sports Performance Institute and a Sports Ministry Institute all under the branding of the Total Athlete Experience. Please pray for needed finances, capacity, partners and talent to turn this dream into a reality!

Cru Campus

● Pray that the Campus would faithfully hold to Christ through this season of change as we trust Him for greater fruitfulness (John 15:1-17).

● Pray that Campus would raise up enduring movements of win, build, send as we take the gospel to students and faculty throughout USA and world.

● Pray that Campus would become a more multi-ethnic organization that fully reflects the glory of God as represented by the diversity of the student world.

● We are asking God to raise up laborers to start and sustain gospel-centered ministries where there are none, as an outflow of the EveryCampus Partnership with InterVarsity and other campus ministries.

Bridges International: o Bridges teams on many campuses are hosting Fall Retreats this weekend and

beyond. Pray that these events can be used to help build momentum as well as prove to be fertile ground for recruiting for our year-end conference. Vision 2018

will be in Denver and you can join us in trusting God to bring 1,000 international and American students to participate.

o Of the 1.3 million international students in the USA, 70% of them come from the 10/40 window. Please pray that many of these future world leaders will meet Jesus while studying in America and return home as ambassadors for Jesus Christ.

o Please pray for one of Bridges key priorities this fall - to meet and mobilize international Christian students to help reach their campuses with the gospel.

Ethnic Focused Communities:Epic Movement

o Pray for the Lord to grow effectiveness as ministers of the gospel. We want to continue to provide consistent and practical coaching and training for our team leaders.

o Pray for the Lord to grow our leadership bench in Epic. We need the Lord to grow more Asian American leaders. Pray for our assessment as needed.

o Pray for the Lord to send more students to global missions. We are praying for at least 20% of our students to participate in a short vision trip or summer missions.  

Nations o Ask God that He would continue to raise up Native American voices and

● Pray for our Cru Military global volunteer base to grow to 3,000 volunteers over the next five years and expansion to new training locations (three per year) in the U.S. Pray for the Lord to raise up three new Area of Operations Directors in the U.S. for our West, Midwest and Northeast locations in this next year.

● Pray for the opportunity to translate culturally relevant military resources for use by the global military community.

FamilyLife

● Pray that the registrations would come in for our Wildly Impossible Goal of the 62,500 attendees for our Weekend to Remember (WTR) events. Ask God to fill the 80,000 available seats in the ballrooms. May the two Beta Tests for WTRNext go extremely well, as well as making necessary adjustments for continued improvement.

● Pray that God will give us a clearly defined strategy for the radio transition and that He will raise up new voices to meet the strategy.

● Art of Parenting - Please pray for the digital and technology teams as they continue to refine and optimize the online component of the experience while balancing other ministry priorities. Pray for contract negotiations and future processes regarding distribution of small group components in the U.S. and other countries (language translations and the “Like Arrows” DVD being the most complex and pressing at this time).

● Pray that we would get a deeper understanding of our target audience from our Cyrano research. We desire to have a clear understanding of the research to help reach a younger, diverse, and spiritually curious audience.

● Ask God to direct our Executive Leadership Team to clearly define the goals and objectives for our 3-5 year priorities. 

GAiN USA (Global Aid Network, a Cru subsidiary)

● Pray for GAiN's work with refugees and displaced people. There are 68.5 million people forcibly displaced worldwide. Forty million are displaced inside their country, and 25.4 million are refugees (outside their country of origin). We are working with Cru staff and their partners in many of these countries to provide humanitarian supplies. We also provide coaching in how to help in such a way that people see the love and hope of Jesus Christ in all that is taking place.

● Pray for our staff to live and work in the power of the Holy Spirit. The needs around the world are enormous. We can get overwhelmed if we don't, minute-by-minute, trust God for our work.

● This year, GAiN will have worked in 40 countries. We are seeing many churches planted and people accept Christ because of the access and credibility for the Cru local and national staff that is created by the humanitarian interventions that GAiN supplies. Thank God for His provision of aid, finances and people to do the work. Ask God to continue to provide so we can help even more countries, as we are getting daily requests for assistance. 

JESUS Film Project

● Pray that everyone, everywhere would have the opportunity to know Jesus.

● Ask God for 10 million multiplying disciples.

● Pray for one church per 1,000 people, or 5 million churches worldwide.

● 90% of JESUS film use is outside of CRU. Please pray for more partnerships with denominations and organizations to get to the prayer goal of one church per 1,000 people.

Josh McDowell Ministry

● Pray for the planning, development and production of the Evidence that Demands a Verdict video study, debuting in 2019, to reach skeptics and to enable believers to articulate their faith and defend God's Word.

● Our shift towards leader-led, integrated ministry in 300 cities (presently 80+) with multi-MCC city leadership teams is progressing. Pray that Holy Spirit would empower our staff and disciples to make this a reality. Pray also for the vision of 100,000 multiplying disciples in 300 cities, 10,000 campuses and 50,000 villages by 2020.

● Pray that all our staff, disciples and ministry teams would be characterized by an earnest dependence on God (prayer), a passion for holiness, motivation and a sense of authentic community (the 4 elements of our Launch Pad).

● Pray for the barriers of caste system, false religions and pseudo-spirituality to be overcome by the gospel. Pray for the good news of Jesus Christ to permeate every campus, domain, village and digital space in South Asia.

● Pray for the general election in India in 2019 that there would be a fair election and a government that fears God would come to power.

● Pray for all our staff members to attain 100% support by 2020.

BHUTAN ● Pray for Bhutan to open its doors to a vibrant Christian witness.

● Pray for Christians to stand firm and multiply despite harsh treatment and harassment. Pray that they might be strengthened when facing persecution and that the Lord would soften the hearts of their communities, making them receptive to the gospel.

EAST INDIA ● Pray for success of the upcoming i-Lead'18 student conference across seven cities.

Pray that this i-Lead journey will help us witness ministry launching on new campuses and cities, new KVs being identified and more EDs/MDs being raised up for Student Led Movement on every campus.

● Pray for the intentional multiplication of the lay leaders, resulting in multiplying Christ fellowships across the four states of East India.

● Pray for the Lord's favor and guidance to go with the professionals in the process to become Kingdom Leaders. Pray that the Lord will use them to influence and minister to their colleagues in the workplace.

NEPAL ● Pray for our goal of raising up 10,000 multiplying disciples from different MCCs by 2020

in Nepal to be accomplished by the grace of God. Pray also for all staff to reach 100% support.

● Pray for biblical training and Christlikeness for a rising generation of church leaders.

NORTH INDIA ● Pray for God’s blessing of the Women's Conference in Delhi, from 18-21 October with

100 women from the workplace.

● Pray that God may give us 1,250 Multiplying Disciples, including 200 lifetime laborers who are passionate to lead spiritual movements in their campuses by 2020.

● Ask God to send 70 full time staff to work in North Region of ICCC by the end of 2020.

NORTH EAST INDIA ● Pray for the Prayer Festival in the month of November. We will dedicate a month’s time

to pray for revival and renewal, and we are praying to engage 7,500 believers in this prayer festival.

● Pray for the “T 12” (Team of Twelve) short term mission project in different states of North East. Pray that through this project we would be able to expand the movement in different states.

SOUTH EAST INDIA ● Pray for movements to be established in 68 cities in our region with all MCCs through key

leaders and volunteers.

● Pray for 1,000 campuses to be opened for ministry by our existing disciples and for partnering with different churches in the cities.

● Pray for the digital training on 20-21 October, for 34 cities' volunteers to begin Digital movement in their cities, and for 2,400 villages to be reached by our 80 Church planting initiators.

SOUTH WEST INDIA ● Praise God for the relief work in Kerala after the devastating flood that affected most of

the state. We were able to distribute 1,000 water filters and 1,000 school kits along with clothes and blankets to the neediest people.

● Pray that every team should identify right leaders from SLM, Digital, LeaderImpact and Churches to form a City Leadership Team in staffed hub cities and to expand the ministry to two more non-staffed cities by June 2019.

SRI LANKA ● Pray that God would raise more leaders to take leadership in campuses and the

workplace, as we hope to establish leadership teams for each city in Sri Lanka.

● Pray for new staff recruitment. Last several years we could not see any new staff joining our movement. Please pray for a breakthrough in this area.

SOUTHEAST ASIA (ASEA)Area Team Leader: Cris and Marlyn Uy

By faith, pray that God will use us to create an environment to pursue these GCM initiatives across ASEA:

● 4G Multiplication - we need to spiritually multiply by discipling individuals, communities and churches up to the 4th generation, to be able to raise up 200K Christ-centered Multiplying Disciples.

● 1:1000 - a church for every 1,000 people in every rural village, suburban neighborhood, urban high-rise and digital community.

● 1+1>2 - Strategic Partnerships, recognizing our role in the Body of Christ, promote multiplied increase/influence. We hope to inspire and learn from partners, continuing to humbly resource them. Pray too for good stewardship of human, training and equipment material resources that God provides to fulfill the mission.

● 50X - each GCM staff, by faith in the Holy Spirit’s empowering, seeks to be in influence-relationship with 50 other leaders, whether in peer mentoring mode or to seek out men and women of peace.

LDHR

● Discipleship Applied (DA) - an evangelism and discipleship training video series. Lift up in prayer the ongoing field test. Pray for wisdom for the facilitators and that the DA final training video will be available by January 2019.

● New Staff Training (NST) - Pray for the 43 New Staff. Pray for them to grow as true disciples of Christ and to grow in their love and compassion for the lost. May they see Christ-centered multiplying disciples in their target areas during their training year.

● Pray for God to raise up LDHR leaders and team members for our area and national ministries.

● Follow up Ignite and Fund Raising of ASEA Leadership Team and all Southeast Asian countries to grow in financial capacity in resourcing the needs for effective ministry of producing CMDs.

● Enhanced and effective communication with Ministry Partners by LIFE ASEA team.

LeaderImpact

● Pray for L.I.F.E. Forum and Alumni Mobilization in many cities in each country to actively mobilize and recruit leaders for City Team Vision.

● Pray for the vibrant growth and multiplication of model city teams in each country to harness and expand their capacity and resources to reach their nations for Christ.

● Pray for LI leadership team. They are embarking on their 5-year plan to expand city teams to all 34 provinces and 514 cities by 2023. Pray for active and spontaneous multiplication of city teams led by non-staff leaders.

Student-Led Ministries

● Please pray for the student leaders of different countries of Southeast Asia as they participate and plan for the Global Student Launch Week, Nov 4-10. They will spearhead the launching of campus movements in our area. May this event cause momentum in helping raise more committed student leaders for the movement and more souls to be won for Christ as more campus movements are launched.

● Pray for our staff— enriching vision and wisdom in helping raise Christ-centered Multiplying Disciples (CMDs) for the Great Commission. Pray for perseverance and encouragement in facing challenges in the field.

● Pray for more open doors of opportunities to partner with like-hearted individuals, churches and organizations to help fulfill the Great Commission. Pray for our National Student-Led Movement Leaders (NSLML) as they provide leadership in helping reach the nations for Jesus through direct ministry, partnership and mobilization.

Operations

● Pray for Operations in countries undergoing transitions as they merge regions and learn how to work together as a new team.

● For all of SE Asia countries as we move to a totally new accounting system.

● Pray for wisdom for ASEO operations as we will peer-mentor Operations within ASEA. Countries with more developed Ops systems will be adopting other countries needing help.

Prayer

● Pray about a growing desire to get to know our loving God through the Scriptures. It is to Him we pray.

● May we increase in the depth and width of prayer covering for what concerns God in relation to maturing the believers and redeeming the unbelievers yet. Partnership included.

● Pray about raising up more intercessors to stand in the gap for the nations in our area.

● Ask God to raise up Prayer Shields for each staff member. Prayer Shield will be composed of our own groups of people who are committed to bring us before God in persistent prayer.

● Pray for continuous breakthroughs as an emphasis on 3G and 3M within Campus Crusade and with partners.

International Graduate School of Leadership

● Ask God to continue to enable the IGSL Leadership Team to be good stewards of God's calling to IGSL, the faculty, the staff, and the students in the new curriculum and schedule.

● Pray for wisdom, unity and creativity as we develop and transition into a new curriculum and schedule (from quarter to semester), and at the same time continue to run the existing curriculum.

● Pray for God’s guidance over design and construction of a House of Prayer on the IGSL campus, as well as a new dormitory.

CAMBODIA ● Seek the leading of the Holy Spirit to mobilize more partners who have the same mindset

in every strategic province in Cambodia.

● May the Holy Spirit empower us and give us wisdom as we do vision casting for potential partners.

● Ask God raise to raise up more committed spiritual leaders for His harvest fields. We are targeting major and strategic cities.

● Pray about an acceptance of the new strategic mindset that GCM includes initiatives in cities and suburban districts and not only in rural areas.

SLM

● Pray for consistent walking in the Holy Spirit for all staff and involved students.

● Increasing number of CMDs - Pray for the 2020 goal of 912 CMDs.

● Ask for God's protection and provision for personal and ministry funds.

PHILIPPINES ● Pray for the National Leadership Team as they polish the recently crafted national

strategic plan for 2019-2023. Pray that our national leaders will be sensitive to God’s direction as they implement transition of plans from 2020 to the 2019-2023 plans.

● Pray for our national leadership team as they collaborate with our Board of Trustees in the following priority areas: Partnership, Finance, LDHR, Legal, Research Development and Innovation.

THAILAND ● To fulfill the Great Commission in Thailand by 2020 - praying to see 50k CMDs.

● TCCC staff will grow in relationship with God, loving and obeying Him.

● S-Curve Camp, 29 Dec 2018 - 1 Jan 2019: challenging, training, and developing 1,000 CMDs to multiply CMDs forward to our goal. Pray that TCCC will have enough budget to expand ministry. (S-curve, as on a graph, where growth rate is slow at first and then faster. We hope to see growth in the number of Christians like this.)

SOUTHERN AND EASTERN AFRICA AREAArea Team Leader: Farai & Chipo Katsande

Africa Leadership & Management Academy (ALMA) ● We have started enrolling for the February 2019 intake. Pray for favor that we may be

able to have at least 20 students registering for each of our two programs.

● Please pray for partners who would give faithfully to the ALMA student scholarship program.

● ALMA urgently needs more space for lectures as the student numbers continue to grow. Pray for resources to build a classroom block, as classes are currently being conducted in the administration building.

BOTSWANA ● We praise God for student leaders in the University of Botswana who are taking the

initiative to share their faith with fellow students and praying for revival in campuses nationwide! It's a joy to see their renewed vision and passion to reach more students for Christ.

● Pray for our values, faith, growth and fruitfulness to be a reality as we do ministry among students and as we seek to have thriving partnerships with local churches.

● May the Lord raise up and establish a firm base of local L.I.F.E (Leadership, Influence, Finances and Expertise) partners for the sustainability of the ministry.

MADAGASCAR ● Pray for the preparation and effective training of 39 missionaries from CV Africa,

October 15-20. We will give Multiplying Churches and Communities, and Jesus Film training.

● Praise God for His mighty works among students; thank Him for all the disciples He gives us. Pray for the preparation and mobilization of Global Student Launch Week in our country.

● Malagasy people will have a presidential election on November 7. Pray that God will appoint the one He is choosing. Pray for safety and security before, during and after the election.

MALAWI ● Building Capacity: Pray that the volunteer staff would respond and answer the call to full-

time staff. Pray the entire full-time staff would be able to raise 100% of their goals.

● National Office: Pray for fundraising in Malawi to build a National Office structure as well as all the related fees.

● SLM: Pray for the discipleship trainings in new campuses to be effective and grow into multiple generations.

SOUTH AFRICA ● Praise the Lord for our first Ignite vision-casting event in Pretoria on 31 August; pray

with us for 1,000 people to attend our next Ignite event, 24 October 2018, also in Pretoria.

● Pray for our national leaders clearly to hear the Lord’s voice during our November planning sessions, with regard to the way forward for Campus Crusade in this country. May we be able to identify the right churches to partner with in our new church strategy.

● Pray for the national “It’s Time” prayer event, 27 October, where South Africans will take hands and bow before the Lord Jesus Christ for His intervention in our country, for repentance and for revival in the hearts of people.

TANZANIA ● Praise God for a church leader of the African Inland Church. Using the MC2 level one

training, he was able to plant churches with 12 generations of disciples in less than a year.

● Pray that God will raise up 70 volunteers for Global Student Week in November, enabling us to reach 11 colleges and see multiplying disciples there.

● Pray for the partners who were given JESUS film equipment, as they use it to help new churches grow and new groups be planted. May the focus of these church leaders not waver as they meet various challenges.

ZIMBABWE ● From 3-4 October we will have a GCM church planting and vision-casting conference

with 300 pastors in Bulawayo. This will be followed by two days of church-planting training, 5-6 October, using the MC2 training. Ask the Lord to use those speaking and help participants embrace church planting and church multiplication.

● Pray for closed countries in our area, that church planting movements will continue underground, and the few who faithfully serve there will have God’s boldness and security.

● Pray for funding for a vision trip to Tanzania, 15-21 October, that eight of our leaders can see how churches have multiplied to 5-12 generations within a 3-year period and see firsthand the power of partnership.

WEST AFRICA AREA Area Team Leader: Austin and Zchat Okomohwo

International Leadership University (ILU)

● Praise God for the good progress made so far in the process of renewing the Letter of Interim Authority. The Commission for University Education has indicated they recommended that the authority to offer degrees be extended for another four years.

● Pray for restructuring of the governance organs of ILU as LIFE Ministry Kenya (LMK) assumes the role of a new owner of the university. LMK would be the national sponsor of ILU on behalf of Campus Crusade. This would make it easier to mobilize resources locally. May ILU integrate well with the philosophies and ministries of LMK and Campus Crusade at large.

● ILU is facing an acute shortage of academic and administrative staff. Most senior management and academic positions are vacant.

GAMBIA ● The Gambia is putting together a national development plan. Pray that all aspects of

national life will be incorporated into this plan. Pray that God will guide the government to engage experts who have the nation at heart.

● Ask God to protect the country from any organization that would make hostile attempts to take official control over the hearts and will of the people, for evil purposes.

● Pray for unity within the body of Christ in the nation, more so now that arrangements are on for a strategic plan for development of the church. Pray for believers to be diligent and for breakthrough opportunities.

NIGERIA ● Pray for the 16-catalytic movement started in the South East and South Central regions.

May they grow and have at least five key volunteers on each campus who regularly share their faith and disciple others.

● Pray that LIFE partners will surface in key cities, men and women who will champion fund development efforts in the country. May they use their leadership, influence and expertise to advance the ministry.

● Pray for Athletics in Action Chaplaincy Training planned for the first week of November in Lagos. Pray for the preparation and accomplishment of the training of 16 individuals. Pray for wisdom in chaplain selection and successful fund-development training.

SIERRA LEONE ● Fourah Bay College is the main campus ministry and was the first institution of higher

learning in West Africa. Pray that God in His mercy will do a new thing and set free the hearts and minds of students and lecturers. May they hunger for God and Truth, in Jesus’ name.

● Pray for a student mission to Morfindoh village, 8-15 October, dubbed “Ye su lo wama” (Jesus is Coming). May the students be aware of the Spirit of the Most High God going with them. Ask God to fulfill His promise to Jeremiah in each one’s life (Jeremiah 1:18-19)

WESTERN EUROPEArea Team Leader: Javier and Gema Garcia

● Pray about the city focus becoming real in the planning process.

● Ask God to raise up city leaders or people with a burden to take on that role.

● Pray for internal and external mobilization of partners, volunteers and resources.

AUSTRIA ● September 29 we opened our office in Vienna. We pray that it can become a place,

where people get the chance to encounter Jesus, whether in discipleship or for the first time. May this office become a place where lives will be changed.

● SLM: We pray that the last weeks of meeting new students will help to grow relationships. Nowadays the students don't have much extra time. The studies are hard and exhausting. We want to attract them with topics which are relevant for them. Please pray for our staff and volunteers to sense how they can be good, influential friends to the new students.
