The InterdisciplinaryCenter (IDC) HerzliyaThe Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, located in the center of Israel, is home to 5,600 students and dozens of world-renowned professors and researchers. Established by Prof. Uriel Reichman in 1994 as the first private institution of higher education in Israel, IDC Herzliya offers graduate and undergraduate degrees at its: Arison School of Business; Efi Arazi School of Computer Science; Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy; Radzyner School of Law; and Sammy Ofer School of Communications. Its Raphael Recanati International School offers English-language degree programs to over 1,200 students from seventy-four countries.

The schools are complemented by research institutes and learning centers that address vital topics ranging from counter-terrorism to capital markets and risk management. The Arison School of Business strives to prepare executives and future business leaders for the modern business world and its constantly shifting challenges. Our MBA program offers courses of a high academic level as well as practical learning. The program is innovative and is continually updated to reflect new developments in business education and the global arena. It is designed and taught by experienced and internationally regarded faculty members who have lectured at the world’s best universities. They

bring the best and latest in international education and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Since the initiation of our MBA program in 2001, it has been considered one of the leading academic programs in Israel.

The GLOBAL MBA PROGRAMS are a new addition to our school and offer international students high-level MBA courses and the opportunity to study in Israel. There are three programs which will be taught in English: Global Management GMBA, Strategic Management GMBA and Global Entrepreneurship GEMBA. In all, the emphasis is on conducting business in the global arena.

Studying in a program with an international student body gives participants a significant advantage in developing international connections and in discovering global business opportunities. These programs also provide students with the practical tools and theoretical knowledge needed to establish and manage businesses as well as to develop and implement business initiatives on an international scale.

GloBAl MBA ProGrAMSHighlights• Programs are taught entirely in English and are designed to

prepare future business leaders from Israel and around the world to operate in the international business arena. Three programs are offered: Global Management GMBA, Strategic Management GMBA and Global Entrepreneurship GEMBA.

• A first-rate faculty whose members are among the best in their fields and have taught at the world’s leading business schools such as Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, INSEAD, Kellogg, Michigan, NYU and Wharton.

• The MBA PROGRAMS offer: 1) A study trip to China/India that includes tours of domestic and international companies as well as

meetings with executives. 2) A Management Consulting Practice study program. 3) A student exchange program with The Wharton School

of the University of Pennsylvania, US.

• An emphasis on applying theories and turning them into business applications, including the use of case studies and hands-on projects.

• A continuous 18-month program consisting of 9 mini-semesters, each 6 weeks long, with part-time and full-time tracks.*

• Intensive courses taught by guest lecturers from leading universities around the world. These courses may include classes in addition to the regular class schedule.

Global Management GMBAHead of Program: Dr. Nadine BaudotAcademic Advisor: Prof. Oded ShenkarThis rigorous program prepares students to meet the challenges of the modern business world by providing them with the theoretical and practical tools needed to conduct business in the global arena. The foundation of the program is built on core business management principles, where the global perspective is incorporated into each discipline whether marketing, finance, strategy, or decision analysis. In addition to examining the core management courses from an international framework, students will round out their studies with globally focused electives including a China module with a study trip. During the trip students will visit local and multinational companies in a variety of locations and industries.The faculty consists of the best lecturers from the world’s leading business schools. They are involved in the business arenas of various countries, giving students access to their expertise in the global market, as well as to the Israeli business sector’s strength in innovation, hi-tech and entrepreneurship. The program benefits from the academic guidance of Prof. Oded Shenkar, an expert on global management who has extensive experience conducting business in China and other markets. The program enjoys the generous support of the Arison Fund and Arison Investments.

Admission Requirements: An undergraduate degree, three years of managerial experience, GMAT test, and an admissions interview.

Strategic Management GMBAExecutive Director: Mr. Yuval DovevThis distinctive program offers students the possibility of specializing in Global Strategic Management,

a specialization that is run jointly with The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Graduates earn a Wharton-IDC GCP (Global Consulting Practicum) Graduate Diploma.

The Global Strategic Management studies enable students to acquire the tools and management

techniques used by international management consulting firms. Students become a part of a

multinational consulting team that works on a real-life project sponsored by a real client, either an

Israeli or multinational company. This Global Consulting Practicum includes sponsored international

travel and provides genuine global collaboration and practical experience. Students have access to

an extensive international network and work closely with the finest graduates of the world’s leading

business schools.

Admission Requirements: undergraduate or graduate degree with distinction, GMAT qualitative

score of 48 or analytical score of 5.5. Superior personal achievements and exceptional analytical and

communication abilities will be assessed in a series of personal and case interviews. Significant work

experience is not a prerequisite.

Tuition: $ 25,000. US (Tuition fee does not include the study trip.)

Global Entrepreneurship GEMBAHead of Program: Prof. Ronen IsraelThe goal of the Global Entrepreneurship GEMBA Program is to encourage business leadership and to develop students’ entrepreneurial abilities via an innovative platform for entrepreneurship studies – learning through doing – which was developed by the Entrepreneurship Center at IDC Herzliya. The curriculum addresses entrepreneurship in all its aspects and allows students to gain practical experience by establishing a commercial, social or environmental venture. The program builds upon Israel’s status as a center of high-tech entrepreneurship and on IDC Herzliya’s reputation and resources as a leader in interdisciplinary education.The program is an opportunity for students from all parts of the world to learn from one another while creating a unique international network with a common vision. It is taught in English and is designed for students who have demonstrated entrepreneurial, business or leadership skills. This rigorous program is challenging and is suitable for students willing to devote significant time and energy to developing their own ventures. The Global Entrepreneurship GEMBA Program endows students with wide-ranging theoretical knowledge and practical tools vital to entrepreneurship, while focusing on three dimensions:

1. EnTrEPrEnEurshiP sTudiEsIncludes specifically crafted courses such as Entrepreneurship 101, Practicum in Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance, Strategic Innovation Management, Intellectual Property Rights, Entrepreneurship in the Web Era, and Sustainability.

2. Bringing BusinEss To LifEThis part of the program provides a platform for creating a new business, social or environmental enterprise. It enables teams of two to three students to develop an enterprise, from the conception of an idea to its establishment as a company producing economic or social value. Each business has a board of directors consisting of the GEMBA Program Head Prof. Ronen Israel, a core faculty member (an entrepreneur), two external directors and the student CEO. Each team will present the business it is developing to panels comprised of the business community and will have access to a variety of advisors who work with the Entrepreneurship Center at IDC Herzliya.

3. EnTrEPrEnEurs’ TaLEsA course consisting of meetings with entrepreneurs, professionals and senior members of the business community during which topics related to entrepreneurship are discussed in an informal atmosphere. The variety of experiences shared by the guest speakers exposes the students, in a unique way, to the many aspects of creating and doing business, and enriches the students’ learning experience beyond the traditional course-based studies.

Admission Requirements: An undergraduate degree, full GMAT results, business, entrepreneurial or leadership skills and admissions interviews.
