Dear Parents/Guardians, Primary 1 Assessment Schedule for 2017 1. In line with the Primary Education Review and Implementation Committee’s (PERI)

recommendations, the school is embarking on holistic assessment for Primary 1.

2. Bite-sized forms of assessment will be conducted throughout the year to support the pupils’ development and achievement in learning.

3. There will be no formal assessment in Term 1 as pupils need time to adjust to work in the classroom setting. Any assessment done is purely developmental.

4. The format and scope of the bite-sized assessment for Term 2 is attached as

Annex 1.

5. The format and scope of the bite-sized assessments for Term 3 is attached as Annex 2.

6. The format and scope of the bite-sized assessments for Term 4 is attached as

Annex 3. Please note the following:

All absences must be substantiated with a Medical Certificate.

Pupils who are absent for the tests which constitute to the overall grade will be allowed to take the tests during the assessment period if supported by a Medical Certificate.

Our school places great emphasis on good values like honesty and integrity. Disciplinary action will be taken against candidates who are caught cheating or engaging in acts of dishonesty/disruption during the examination.
