    Uttara Kannada is situated in the western coast o Karnataka.

    Spread across 11 talukas -Ankola, Bhatkal, Haliyal, Honnavar, Karwar, Kumta, Mundgod, Siddapur,

    The district has one o the six atomic power stations in India located at Kaiga which generates 2,231

    GW-h o power annually.
