Global Handwashing Day
15th October 2017
QANDIL in partnership with UNHCR has conducted some activities at each schools and kindergartens at
ARC Arbat Refugee Camp the activities were as following;
1- promotional boards hanged to all bath walls in the schools and kindergartens inside ARC.
2- Conducted a Promotional Drama with Global sign characters which is the soap, hand and drop
of water.
3- The right way of hand washing with song and dancing presented.
4- Practical handwashing conducted by using soap and water.
5- Gathering residents by calling them with megaphone to watch the activity of Practical hand
washing in the alleys.

Totally 528 children got benefit from our activities.
1-Painted boards hanged on the walls of the baths were to affection in schools and kindergartens.
2- The paintings boards included the correct methods of washing hands, followed by the
children's instructions in practice and applying the correct method of washing hands on the
hanging plates.
3- We gathered all the students in the schools and kindergartens square and presented the
children's A Short Promotional Drama on how to keep the hands clean in a comic way to ask
the children to obey them with information about washing their hands properly.
4- The dance and music were presented to educate the children on how to wash hands
with the applied movements for all the correct steps and apply them with the
participation of school children and kindergartens.
6- Hand washing was applied in practice with the correct steps with soap and water in front of all
students in the schools and kindergartens.
4- We gathered the residents with the calling by megaphones to watch our activity on
Handwashing with dancing and music, with proper steps to wash our hands with
soap and water, and we asked the children to practice what they learned from the
activity.
