Tyler Godoff Appointed Chairman of Global China Connection Board of Trustees New York, NY (November 8, 2012) The Board of Trustees of Global China Connection (GCC) announce the appointment of Tyler Godoff as chairman of the Board of Trustees. The change is effective November 11, 2012.

Tyler was among GCC's earliest leaders and played a leading role in establishing GCC’s Alumni Association and Vanderbilt University

chapter. Tyler pioneered strategic partnerships with leading organizations including the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Tsinghua

Student Union, American Airlines, Lenovo and the former United States Ambassador to China, Jon Huntsman Jr.

Tyler attended Vanderbilt University and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Human and

Organizational Development. Tyler lives in Beijing and works for the Energy Logistics division of China’s

leading state-owned shipping and logistics company, Sinotrans Limited. In his division, Tyler coordinates

international business development efforts, focusing on EPCs, Oil and Gas, and Wind Energy companies.

As chairman of GCC’s Board of Trustees, Tyler leads a team of former GCC officers who currently work

for The Boston Consulting Group, Goldman Sachs, Minerva Project (an SF VC-backed start-up) and

Millstein & Co. (a recently formed NYC investment bank and hedge fund).

The Board of Trustees is responsible for devising high-level policy decisions; providing support and counsel to its student-led

management team; and ensuring the organization stays committed to achieving its mission to foster deep and trusting personal

relationships among Chinese and non-Chinese university students. The trustees bring significant GCC-management experience, and

are committed to empowering GCC's student leaders to lead high-impact initiatives and develop professionally.
