Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited has garnered recognition for its efforts in developing basic infrastructure in the North-Eastern states of India. Choosing to proactively seek out areas of intervention where its expertise could be effective, HSCL has executed several prestigious projects in the fields of establishing Rural connectivity, Infrastructure for Education and Healthcare with exemplary efficiency in the remote and insurgent regions of North Eastern States of Tripura and Sikkim.

The Company has a proud privilege of participating in the Bharat Nirman Programme of Govt. of India for the last 7 years in Construction of Rural roads in the North Eastern State of Tripura under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) awarded through a Tripartite MOU between Govt. Of India, Govt. of Tripura & HSCL.

HSCL has been working as a Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in Tripura, with the responsibility starting from preparation of DPR till the maintenance of the roads for five years after construction. The present value of work awarded under PMGSY is about Rs.767 Cr. in Tripura which is likely to go up further in phases in future, out of which Rs.493 Cr. has already been successfully completed and handed over to the utter satisfaction of Client.

In Tripura, HSCL has recently successfully handed over three Nos. of 150 bedded District Hospitals with Trauma Care Centres, one each in North, South and Dhalai District and one 100 bedded hospital at Teliamura, under Department of Health, Govt. of Tripura. Recently HSCL has also been awarded the major work of construction & maintenance of Rural Roads under PMGSY in Tripura amounting to Rs.93 Cr.In the State of Jharkhand also HSCL has also been nominated as a PIU similarly through a Tripartite MOU between Govt. Of India, Govt. of Jharkhand & HSCL for taking up Construction of about 1400 km of Rural roads under PMGSY. the Projects. At present 2150 km of rural roads under PMGSY for Rs.1150 Cr. are under implementation by the company at the state of Tripura and Jharkhand.

The 16 Community Health Centres and one District Hospital in Jharkhand under Ministry of Health, Govt. of Jharkhand are fast nearing completion.

HSCL has been engaged and instrumental in the execution and successfully handing over of the following two major Signature Projects full of aesthetic beauty in the North Eastern States of Sikkim which will also go in a long way to help in the development of Infrastructure and Tourism development of the State.

Construction of a Cultural and Pilgrimage Centre at Solophok, Sikkim awarded by RMDD, Govt. Of Sikkim, involving installation of a 108 feet tall idol of Lord Shiva and a number of shrines of Hindu deities at the hilly terrain of picturesque Sikkim. The work has been completed in all respect and opened to the devotees. Approx. Project Cost is Rs.110 Cr.

Construction of Cultural Centre and tourist cottages at Yangang, Sikkim awarded by RMDD, Govt. Of Sikkim, which will immensely contribute in Tourism development in the State is also successfully completed. Approx. Project Cost is Rs.48 Cr.

Recently HSCL has been entrusted with various Civil & Infrastructural Job to the tune of around Rs. 500 Cr. in the North-Eastern States of Guwahati, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya etc. for construction of Hospitals, Auditoriums, & Large Godowns etc.

In the Educational Sector, HSCL's involvement right from the Concept to Completion as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) is widely acclaimed for last few decades. In the field of Project Management and Consultancy Services HSCL has emerged as the largest Infrastructure CPSU and is one of the forerunners in implementation of Educational Infrastructure under Kendriya Vidyalaya for KVS and Navodaya Vidyalaya for NVS, both under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. Presently about Rs.250 Cr. work completed in KVS and Rs.300 Cr. work completed in NVS. Balance work in hand is about Rs.200 Cr. in & Rs.250 Cr. respectively for KVS & NVS.

HSCL has been one of the major Project implementing Organizations in Benaras Hindu University (BHU), Banaras, National Law University at Cuttack, Orissa and the work is going on in full swing as per schedule. Successful Construction & handing over of three major Science Centers awarded by National Council of Science Museum (NCSM), Govt. of India at Amritsar, Lucknow and Ranchi bears true credential of excellence. Construction of Central Institute of higher Tibetan Studies at Sarnath, U.P. with full of aesthetic & architectural beauty is another feather in HSCL's cap. More than Rs 600 crore worth of orders have been executed by the company in this sector with another Rs 200 crore orders in hand at different stages of completion.

The major Water Management Project for more than Rs.1100 Cr. which may likely to go up to Rs.2100 Cr. for of River Training Works Bagmati in Bihar awarded by Water Resources Dept, Govt. of Bihar, is a real testament of HSCL's credential as PMC Service Provider for challenging Projects of mega magnitude.

Currently ongoing 90 nos of Cyclone Shelters in the coastal area of South 24 Parganas in West Bengal are also being implemented on turnkey basis from Concept to Completion.

Entire Campus Development & allied Infrastructure of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) at Guwahati, Assam for around Rs.210 Cr., campus developement of entire complex for Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT), Govt. of India, at Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu, CSIO Project in Chandigarh, SIDBI Green Building Projects at Lucknow and Bhubaneswar, District Hospital and Community Health Centre in Jharkhand and completed Flyover at Noida Rs.106 Cr. are some of the successful landmark projects where HSCL's participation contribution as PMC are remarkable.

Under a Single Order the work of Super-speciality Medical, Dental, Nursing College & Hospital, Staff Quarters & Hostels etc. for about Rs. 11OO Crore, out of which around Rs. 650 Cr. has already been completed and another major Order of Rs. 350 Cr. of Para-Medical Institute awarded by Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India, situated at Gulbarga in Karnataka is one of the signature Project in the history of HSCL.
