SWEET SPOTFor an on trend place setting that echoes our sugary theme, we dreamed up a lovely lollipop charger. To make it, wrap two hues of polka-dot ribbon around equal lengths of piping filler cord. Then swirl them together into a spiral as shown, securing with hot glue as you work.

TAKES THE CAKEThis larger than life ribbon cupcake is a shimmerytake on our favorite dessert—and it won’t be gonein three bites! We used the same method as the chargers, but this time we swirled upwards, slightly stacking each layer on top of the one below. The base is a paper-maché box (Papercrafting Department), painted white and glittered.

THE GIFT OFGLIMMERA few lengths of ribbon give every-color packages some sparkly texture. The round present is a paper-maché box, wrapped in striped wrapping paper—we added polka dot ribbon to the rim of the lid. The blue package flaunts alternating net ribbon and dotted ribbon. Party Trick: Prettify your own packages and set them up for a make-a-statement gift table.

RIBBON & RHYMEPump up the tunes, and cue the dance party—we’ve got a loud ’n’ proud setup that’s ready to roll! The shining, shimmering hero? Our glitter ribbons. We wrapped cups with sparkly strips, hung a backdrop of ribbon strands, and made two flouncy lanterns from ribbon-wrapped wreath frames.

FAIRY GLAM-MOTHEROur ribbons fancy up more than party décor (no fairy godmother required). We created sparkly wings and wands using everything from foam hearts to dowel rods, all wrapped and embellished with our glittery ribbons. The best part? These daydream accessories will stick around long after the clock strikes midnight.

Yes! This butterfly harness is ribbon too! Tip: Just measure your kiddo's waist and the length from the waist over the shoulders. Hot glue or stitch wherever needed and finish off with a blingy buckle (Fabric Department).

CROWN TOWNThis diva-gone-glitzy crown makes for one seriously fab photo op. To start, we cut and stitched fabric and interfacing to form a crown shape. Then we added cording, buttons, rhinestone ribbon and an unfussy mesh ribbon flower—the fringed trim is a smaller version of the boa on page 6.

TOP THATCover an off-the-shelf hat with some chunky multicolor glitter—we suggest découpage medium or double-sided adhesive sheets to make it stick. Then top it off with simple ribbon rosettes and feathers, and it’s hats off to on-the-noggin style.

ON A WINGFlatter guests of honor with a fluttery, whimsical chair back. We usedtinsel and mesh ribbon to tie on aready-made butterfly from the Card and Party Department. And for the curlicues,we wrapped ribbon around a dowel rod—the wire edges help it stay put.

DRESSED-UPDIVASFriends? Check. Hip party scene? Check. All we need is a dreamy dress-up supply! Tutus: lengths of ribbon tied to an elastic waistband. Headgear: We decked out ready-made hats, wrapped scrapbook paper into party-hat cones, and added ribbon accents to everything in sight. And no party is complete without a couple of diva-caliber boas—ours are made from ribbon. (Visit "Boa All Over" at hobbylobby.com for step-by-step instructions.)

LIGHTS, CAMERA, RIBBON! The photo booth has quickly become the star of every party around—and make-you-laugh props are easier than you think! We made some of our own and embellished a few store-bought items. Grab off-the-shelf party hats, and add bows to the top or ribbon trim to the base. Then finish with gemstones, feathers and the like.

GIRLS ON THE GLITZAfter the dust settles from your daughter’s social hour, gather your gals for a glittery night in! We created a get-up-and-dance vibe using our sassiest ribbon combos—we’re talking everything from girly-glam headpieces to a gorgeously glitzy tablescape. Our makeshift table runner is a kaleidoscope of cut-out ribbon circles. And for centerpieces, we added strips of ribbon to candy-filled vases. Gold accents pull the look together.

ALL SETThis improvised napkin ring (one strip of ribbon, knotted at the back) turns a plain white cloth into a noteworthy plate accessory. And for kicks and glitters, we tied a few sparkly bows onto striped paper straws. We’d say that deserves a happy plate award.

BOW BUSINESSTurn every chair into a seat of honor with bigger-is-better bows in your favorite shades of fabulous. To make ’em, try looping, twisting and gathering various lengths of ribbon until you achieve the look you want. Bow-nus points: These wire-edge ribbons are super easy to twist and form into any shape.

BITTY BOWPerch a teensy bow atop framed placecards at each lady’s sittin’ spot—it’s a classy way to welcome guests, and it makes for a cute (and personalized) party favor!

BOW OF THE BALLEvery sparkly soirée needs a spread of photo-worthy props. So we tied loud-and-proud bows onto headbands and party hats galore. But no worries, knotting newbies. They don’t have to be fancy, and there are no rules—try looping, tying and layering your ribbons, and we say you can’t bow wrong.
