message from the summitWelcome to the 2015/16 ski and snowboard season!

As I write this, we are in the heat of the summer. Despite summer camps, mountain bike races and the buzz of Kelso during the busy July and August months, the countdown to Glen Eden’s opening day has begun!

Last season was certainly one for the books. With a difficult start to the season with warmer than normal temperatures, followed by colder than normal temperatures and less snow fall than usual, we still managed to have an exceptional season with 101 days open.

Looking forward to the 2015/16 season, our priority will continue to be the guest experience. We have been working on new ways to streamline your experience from lift ticket or season pass purchases to finding new and innovative ways to enhance the guest experience through efficiencies with parking, rentals and more. The end goal is always to make each visit with us better than the last.

With over 700 staff, our exceptional team is key to creating your positive ski and snowboard memories. Our Snow School is stocked with some of the highest certified staff in the country and our Terrain Park staff continues to build one of the most

progressive Terrain Parks around. No matter which department staff are in, each person plays a role no matter how big or small in creating the best experience for our guests.

We focus on building features that let users build skills and develop confidence in a safe environment. From 5ft jumps to 35ft jumps plus rails and boxes ranging from small ride on features to air on double kink hand rails, we’ve got something for everyone.

Apprentice Program (14+)The Glen Eden Snow School is one of the country’s largest and most highly qualified snow schools. The Apprentice Program provides you with an opportunity to learn from the best, shadow lesson programs to practice your trade, and gain experience that should give you the edge on your certification course. Plus, it will help put you a step ahead when applying to work in the snow sports industry. This is a volunteer position with no associated fees. Look for the job posting through the employment link on gleneden.on.ca and get your resume ready!
