ABSORBING SILENCER

type A

application - any vent or blow-down application- downstream of safety- and control valves- boiler start-up and purge- turbine bypass

design circular baffles reduce the noise and allow thermalexpansion of the construction. The absorber cover istotally made from stainless steel. The inlet nozzle isconnected to a diffuser pipe that redirects the gas flow.The silencer can be extended with additional absorbers toachieve a higher noise reduction.

DIFFUSER SILENCER

type D

noise reduction up to 50 dB

design several diffuser stages and a fine stainless steel wiremesh are the basic principle of diffuser silencers. Thistechnology supports a substantial smaller and lighterconstruction compared to absorbing silencers.

type DA





design the type DA diffuser silencer is similar to type D, exceptthat the silencer shell is equipped with an additionalinsulation. The insulation is needed for temperature andnoise control.

design the type DAA diffuser silencer is a combination of type Aand type DA silencer. With additional absorbers almostany noise reduction can be achieved.

INLINE DIFFUSER SILENCER

design for noise control at pipes, we manufacture the InlineSilencer. This type is similar to the Diffuser Silencer D.Many small diffuser holes disengage the fluid into a finestainless steel wire mesh.

design carbon or stainless steel pipes are furnished with acustomized number and size of diffuser holes.Diffuser Pipes are part of any vent silencer to obtain anoptimum noise control.However, dump tubes are also used for other purposethan noise control. Such applications can be found e.g. atby-pass systems, blow-down tanks or condensers.

application to connect more than two blow-off pipes into onesilencer, we recommend to use a collecting tube. Valveswith different set pressures can be combined. Thereforethe down stream pressure of all valves needs to beequated.

RENTAL SILENCER

type DA & DAA

with the construction of new boilers, equipment change,or repair work, debris may be introduced into the pipingsystem. This must be removed before the process gas orsteam is used. These contaminants are removed by“blowing free“ the piping. Often silencers are used thatdo not withstand the continuous stress or which become

ineffective as a result of obstructions in the diffuser.

Glaunach has developed a special Silencer which can beused repeatedly. This silencer allows the replacement ofa diffuser cartridge in the event its performance isimpeded by debris and back pressure becomes too high.
