5Customs Clearance

Our Customs Clearance department is well experienced in accomplishing all necessary formalities to clear your cargo for inward as well as outward movement. Our connections with concerned officialsmake the procedures smoother and less costly for customers. We are well versed with local regulations and practice of cargo handling which ensures the accomplishment of formalities at airport and sea portin a speedy manner.

6Customs Clearance: Requirements

Glaube has in-house customs clearance facilities with dedicated support team and customer service.

The following are the documents required efficient for customs clearance in Saudi Arabia:1. Original Bill of Lading2. Commercial Invoice attested by Chamber Of Commerce at origin.3. Certificate of origin attested by Chamber Of Commerce at origin.4. Packing list.5. Custom Exemption letter from the Ministry if any required.6. Letter of authorization by consignees for the custom broker to clear the shipment countersigned by Chamber Of Commerce.7. Copy from Consignee Commercial Register. 8. Remittance proof of shipment9. For “temporary import shipments” it is vital that a letter addressed to The Customs Director detailing the import requirement and nature of the consignment; be sent to the Agent prior to the shipment arrival.

Clearance time from arrival to delivery is 5 - 7 working days for containers and 2-3 working days for airfreight shipments, provided all required documentation received 2 working days prior to arrival.

7Pick-up and Delivery Service

We provide pick-up and delivery services for the cargo with our fleet consisting of different type of vehicles. We are just a phone call away to pick your cargo once it is ready.Our staff will take care of loading and discharging in a professional manner.

8Packing, Storage and Insurance coverage

To ensure the safety of cargo and to avoid any damages, we are well versed with different kind of packing methods. Our packing department has full facilities for different type’s of packing in accordance to the requirement of the client and the nature of cargo. Our packing facilities include wooden boxes, Crate, pallets, Cartons etc. We are skilled in packing of items using bubbles wraps, corrugated paper, polythene cover, plastic sheets etc. which are selected to match the type of cargo being shipped.

Our warehouse is fully covered to protect the cargo. The storage area has sunshade to safeguard the cargo from the sunlight, and is security covered 24 hrs. a day by our own dedicated staff.

For customers who require extra insurance coverage, our insurance dept. will make necessary arrangements with competitive premium.

Have a vehicle fleet of nearly 50 vehicles in Jeddah constituting 30 trailers and 20 trucks. We are capable to station nearly 40 - 60 trailers in seaport at a time Airfreight and LCL Sea freight shipments are delivered by our own light delivery vehicles Have long term and short term lease with almost all normal flat bet trailer, low bed

trailer, hydraulic trailer and SPMT heavy lift haulage companies.
