B) Cu ng-off machines a er the crack/break-method, wet divide method and thermal shock method

For the selec on of cu ng-off method, the material and size of the work piece is crucial. As universal useable cu ng-out saw for the cu ng-off of glass, quartz glass, ceramics and similar mate-rials we especially recommend our cu ng-out saws, type 72 to 72/330. The cu ng quality can be op mised via appropriate dia-mond discs.

For cu ng-off of all kinds of glass (but no quartz glass) we recom-mend our cu ng-off machine no 71/8 (thermal shock method) The principle off ers the advantage, that the sheared edge stays absolutely transparent and thus, no joining places can be recog-nized at the further processing. A dirt accumula on via coolants is omi ed!

C) Machines for the hot treatment Universal-Glass working lathes Glass working lathes, which are coordinated for the job area of

the glass blowing shop should not missed in a modern workshop. Glass working lathes enable the treatment of big tube dimensions and the produc on of complicated glass repairs.

We built the standard lathes with spindle bores of 80 mm up to 750 mm.

Small lathes serve for the produc on of precise instruments and for the mechaniza on of working cycles. We built these table mo-dels in diff erent designs with spindle bores of 16 – 80 mm. A partly or fully automa on of the glass working lathes is possible.

Manufacturing of serial ar cles We build manual operated and PLC-controlled forming machines,

especially for standard ground joints, spherical ground joints, stop cock barrels, threads,fl anges etc. We gladly cooperate the size and execu on of these machines to the provided opera ve range.

- We refer to the machine series type 48 and type 54 - Half automa c, micro processor controlled blowing machines for

graduated fl ask, round piston and similar glass vessel as well as special lathes with addi onal middle chuck for adding side parts on both sides – e.g. side arms on stop cock barrels – complete the program for the produc on of laboratory glass.

D) Quality assurance Hot trea ng implements made from glass show tensions a er

cooling. For releasing the tension we off er electrical heated cooling ovens

as muffl e furnace and top hat furnace in many sizes and in two na-ture regions up to max. 1280°C (thus, its even applicable for quartz glass).

For the op cal tes ng of the tension we build glass tension tes-ters in diff erent sizes and execu ons, from small hand-operated testers to a very popular table model up to a big footed cabinet. (The hand-operated tester is even applicable for tes ng of already installed glass equipment).

E) Grinding shop - arrangementsa) We deliver spindle grinding machines in special execu ons for

the receiving of grinding tools for grinding of standard ground joints, spherical ground joints and stop cock barrels.

b) Horizontal-grinding machines (facing grinding machine) for the tube end-treatment. These machines are working with cast discs and need addi on of abrasive (Silizium- Carbid).

c) Belt grinding machine, which can be equipped with corundum grinding belts and cork polishing belts, for the tube end treat-ment, for facet, etc.

d) Glass drills for the use of conic diamond rub tolls (grinding tools) and diamond hollow drill. For smaller drilling capaci es up to approx. 30 mm and the use of conic diamond grinding tools up to approx. NS 60, we recommend model no. 561. For bigger drilling capaci es up to 100 mm diameter and for the use of grinding tools up to approx. NS 60, we recommend the column drill model 564. With exposi ons men oned before, we can only try to point out some considera ons with the ar-rangement of a glass blowing shop.

To advise you op mally, the answering of the following ques ons is very helpful:

1. How many glass blower work places will be arranged?2. What will be produced?3. Which max. gas tube dimensions should be treated now in future?4. Which kind of gas is available?5. Should quartz glass be treated, too?
