To the EastThe expedition is far, far in the East. Far in the East is a town called

Seyðisfjörður, and even further east, down a fjord, on some ‘roads’ and across three rivers is our home, Skálanes.

Skálanes Nature and Heritage Centre

- Habituated eider colony.- Operates a guesthouse,

meaning meeting people, sharing ideas, learning from countless different people.

- Place to learn, outside, in the air.

- Interested in a more sustainable-way of life.

- Breeding ducks and sea birds.- Huge wader populations.
