GKN Aerospace Environmental Sustainability
GKN Aerospace will put environmental sustainability at the heart of our business. We will design & build products to enable our Customers to deliver zero emissions & clean aviation. We will make meaningful progress each year minimizing our impact on the environment, conserving
natural resources and eradicating hazardous waste, while increasing business resilience and shareholder value. We want to ensure that people are able to take advantage of the tremendous benefits of aviation, but not at the cost of our planet.
A major challenge in our industry will be to reduce GHG emissions to net-zero. In order to address this challenge, GKN
Aerospace will require leadership, fostering ideas with a positive impact on society and government support to enable
radical and disruptive innovation.

Environmental Targets 2025:
• Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity by 25%
• Source 50% of our global electricity from renewable sources
• Divert 95% waste from landfill
• Achieve X% of total R&D expenditure on climate-related R&D
• Achieve X% of new products which contribute to the decarbonisation
of our sector
