Why hold a Giving Spree?
For more than ten years, the Giving Spree has been Adams County’s day of giving where everyone in the community comes together to learn about local nonprofi ts and support them. Th is year, your participation and generosity are needed to sustain our community!

Where is the Giving Spree?
Th is year, the Giving Spree is everywhere! You can participate by mail, online, or enjoy making a contact-free but person-to-person curbside donation from your car at the Gettysburg Times, 1570 Fairfi eld Rd., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
What is the difference between a today gift and a forever gift?
On the Donation Form, you’ll see that for each nonprofi t you choose to make a gift to, you can check either the Today column or the Forever column. If you check Today, your gift will go to the nonprofi t right away, to help with immediate needs. If you check Forever, your gift will be added to a permanent endowment fund held at the Community Foundation. Each year a grant will be made from that fund to the nonprofi t, sustaining it for years and decades to come.
What can I give?
You can give by check or credit card using the Donation Form attached here.
You can also transfer stock, make a charitable rollover gift from your IRA, or recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation or another institution. See ACCFGivingSpree.org for more information on these types of gift s.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes, donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Th e charitable status of each nonprofi t has been verifi ed by the Adams County Community Foundation. Th e Community Foundation will send you an acknowledgement, which will serve as your tax receipt, for the total amount of your gift . Th e Community Foundation will send your gift to the nonprofi t(s) you selected, which may send you an informal thank-you.
What is the Stretch Pool and can I donate to it?
Th e Stretch Pool helps all participating nonprofi ts. At the close of the Giving Spree, the Stretch Pool is distributed to the participating nonprofi ts in proportion to the amount they raised during the Giving Spree. You can donate to it by including a gift to the “Stretch Pool” (#99 on the list) on the Donation Form or by texting STRETCH to 717-619-9933.
