1. Add Your Organization's Info

Entering your tagline, website, and logo are quite important. Also, you can select up to three "causes" or issue areas where your organization is active, which helps donors search for particular organizations.

Note: these are NOT the categories that we will be using for prize eligibility. The category you chose on the initial registration page is the one that determines which prizes you are eligible to win.

2. Add Your Story

On this section, tell donors a bit more about your work. Add a cover photo (or remove the default one) in the "Tell Your Story" section. Explain how your organization makes an impact in the community. What would happen if your organization ceased to exist? How can donors help?

3. Get Verified to Collect Donations

When you arrive at the “Get Verified to Collect Donations” tab, click on “confirm state fundraising compliance” and a new screen will open up. In the top section, check the box under “State Charitable Solicitation Compliance Attestation” and click save. This means that you have registered as a charitable organization in the state of Connecticut (see the next page for the image).

The fields below (Organization information, organization representative, and bank information) are used for giving days that are not centrally routed (where GiveGab sends donations directly to individual organizations). Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills is centrally routed – meaning that Connecticut Community Foundation will continue to send you a check with all of your donations and prizes (net of fees) after the event.

As such, you DO NOT need to add any data in the fields below “Organization Information”, “Organization Representative”, or “Bank Information”. However, this means that your status will still say incomplete at the top and that is okay!

4. Add Donation Levels

Each organization has the ability to customize donation levels. It is recommended that you add 3-4 different amounts. There is also an optional description and photo field for each donation level if you want to personalize it further.

5. Add a Thank You Message

Add your custom email language here. You can also link to a thank you video message (hosted on YouTube or Vimeo), or upload a photo to appear. If you upload both, only the video will appear. If a donor makes a single gift to your organization, then they will receive your specific message. However, if a donor makes gifts to two or more organizations, then they will receive the Connecticut Community Foundation's thank you message.

6. Add Fundraisers (optional)

Add some key supporters as peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraisers for your organization! These fundraisers will be able to raise money on behalf of your organization by reaching out to their social group. Organizations that utilize P2P fundraisers raise 330% more than organizations that don't! If any of your supporters have opted to set up a personal fundraising page to support your organization, you will be able to see them and manage them in this section.
