a train into Central. NSW transport welcomed us at the train staƟon and all students had the opportunity to have their photo taken in the train driver’s seat. What a great way to kick off our week. Thanks Transport NSW for making us feel welcome. Once we hit Sydney we headed off on another train to North Sydney to meet up with everyone else at our accommodaƟon, Dalziel Lodge. What a great accommodaƟon choice, a lovely heritage building that had just enough rooms to house the whole 32 of us, comfortable beds, great kitchen faciliƟes all in a nice quiet neighbourhood...at least it was before we arrived! Big thanks go to Mrs Stewart from Pilliga who did all the hard work organising the excursion, we appreciated it very much. As always this term is going to fly by!! Next week I will be in Sydney aƩending the PPA Principal’s Support Reference Group meeƟng and State Primary Principals Annual Conference. Miss Fisher will be holding the forte in my absence. In week 7 we will be hosƟng Hermidale for the Life EducaƟon Van visit that was rescheduled from earlier in the year. We have PresentaƟon night in week 8, on Thursday 5th of December to allow Ɵme Hello everyone and welcome back to the final year of the term. Term 3 ended with an excursion week. Years 2‐6 headed to Sydney for the week while K/1 stayed at school, then on Thursday headed off to Dubbo for a Zoo snooze and a great Ɵme was had by all. The Sydney excursion was aƩended by students from Yrs2‐6 from Hermidale, Girilambone, Gwabegar and Pilliga Public Schools. Some of the weeks experiences included, a puppet show at the Sydney Opera House, the aquarium, the powerhouse museum, Yum Cha, Sydney observatory, Manly Beach, Eye Tower observaƟon deck as well as my personal highlight the Eye Tower Revolving Restaurant. To add to this the students had the experience of navigaƟng the various forms of public transport for the week. Our trip started with Girilambone and Hermidale heading off to Dubbo on Sunday aŌernoon. We stayed at the Dubbo City Holiday park overnight ready for a flying start on Monday morning. for our intensive swimming a erwards. Students

will be doing end of year assessments, there is

report wri ng so plenty going on!!

As men oned last term we are looking to

improve our communica on with the broader

community. So if any community members

Soon, as part of our annual self evalua on

process I will be sending home some surveys to

determine firstly parent community sa sfac on

as well as ascertaining some input into our future

direc ons. I would really appreciate your input

as next year is the last year in the planning cycle

and we will be looking to renew our school plan

which will determine our future direc ons.

I recently I have completed a submission for a

TARP, Transport Access Regional Partnership

grant. With a li le luck we may get some money

that we can use to hire a bus to cart us to various

school ac vi es. This will help to reduce not only

the cost to the parents who are o en assis ng

with transport but also the me that this

commitment takes out of your day. Fingers

crossed on this one, I will let you know once I

have heard back.

SYDNEY EXCURSION

I loved going to manly beach and after we had ice cream.

My favourite part was going to the aquarium, the scariest part was

going to the dinosaur puppet show.

got to go up really high.

Swimming Club!!

Registrations for swimming club will be held at the Nyngan swimming pool

this Friday 25th October 2019 @ 6pm.

There will fun activities for the kids and also president Loraine Wales will be

there.
