Girardania
Discovered June 21, 2015
We reached our colony for the first time on June 21, 2015 by way of boat.
Discovering this land was in fact an accident. On a voyage to Hawaii, our boat went off course. We found ourselves on a strange, uninhabited land. Since the land was uninhabited, we decided to make it our own.
Peteropolis
Peteropolis, named after one of the founders of Girardania
was the first colony to be established in Girardania on
January 13, 2016.
Major industries/goods in Peteropolis are
fishing, livestock and lumbering.
Housing was in the form of log cabins. There was a great
deal of lumber available surrounding the colony.
Founders used their knowledge of previous
settlements for inspiration of housing.
Davinia
Established March 4, 2019 after exploration of Girardania in an attempt to spread and build more colonies.
Major crops/industries include wheat, corn, and dairy.
Housing in this colony is a more modern type of house with wooden siding. Thheprevious establishment of Peteropolis and a trade route makes it easier to obtain supplies needed to build homes.
DawnsylvaniaAfter establishing
Davinia, explorers decided to venture back into the center
of the island to create another settlement for farming.
Dawnsylvania was founded on September 21,2022.
Major crops/goods found here are
cotton, rice, tobacco, and potatoes.
Housing for this colony was concrete block with stucco. With two trading colonies fairly close by, it was more feasible to obtain materials
need for concrete block homes with stucco.
Stephenville
Named after the son of one of the first colonists, Stephenville was established on December 14, 2030 because of its location, adjacent to the bay on the island.
Crops/Industries include fishing, shipbuilding, and ironworking.
Housing consisted of mostly wood build homes with wooden siding, and large wrap around porches because of the great view of the bay.
BrianeroEstablished on October
26, 2042, Brianero was the fifth colony establised on
Girardania. Settlers wanted to be on all edges of the island
and the north eastern peninsula was not
uninhabited until the establishment of Brianero.
Major crops/industries found here are
textiles, papermaking, and dairy.
Housing in this colony was mostly brick because of the
connections with Stephenville, the new port city, it was easy to gather materials for brick homes.
