July 2017 Our Lake Forest Family Employee of the Month This month, for our employee of the month, we chose one of our superb employees from the nursing department. The award goes to our very own E-Beth. You all know E-Beth as the energetic, fun, enthusiastic lady who will do anything to make you smile. Giordano’s Floral Creations When it comes to a business that is professional, caring, great to work with and of wonderful quality, Giordano’s Floral Creations fits that description. Dear Lake Forest Family, Friends and Residents At this time of the year, it is our hope you are enjoying the wonderful summer season. The barbecue food, the picnics, the warm evenings, the sun on your skin, the fireworks, and many other things are the unique markings of July we appreciate. Also, since we are now in July, the year is now officially halfway over! As for what is happening this month, there is an event you’re not going to want to miss. In July, we are putting together a summertime murder mystery play, in which you must cast your vote to try to guess who the murderer is. If you vote correctly, you will win a prize. Come and join us; it will be a ton of fun. The details are in the calendar. As well, this is the month we celebrate the birth of our independence as a country. With that being said, let me leave you with some neat facts about the Fourth of July: 1. Our country now boasts 318.9 million citizens, but on the first Fourth of July there were only 2.5 million. 2. The Pennsylvania Evening Post was the first newspaper to print the Declaration on July 6, 1776. 3. Other countries, including Denmark, England, Norway, Portugal and Sweden also celebrate the Fourth of July as a way to bring in American tourists. 4. Contrary to popular belief, only two Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The majority of signers penned their signatures on Aug. 2, 1776. As always, have a wonderful month. I’m here if you need me. Tanya Ingram, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR E-Beth Diane Helen
