Friday, July 13 6—9 pm: Two films will be shown at the Truman Memorial Building at 416 W Maple Ave. For the public ($5 donation suggested) Saturday, July 14 9 am—9:30 pm: (Festival ticket holders only) 9:00 am - 11:30 am: Truman Library and Museum, 500 W Hwy 24: Tour the Truman Museum 11:30 - 12:30: Join us for a box lunch in the foyer of the Whistle-stop meeting room 12:30 - 4:30: Join us in the Whistle-stop meeting room for presentations: Hear about Lela and Ginger Rogers and their family history, the history of the house, the recent restoration effort, the Fancy Feet doll by Linda Lee Sutton, and see a film of Ginger’s visit in 1994! Speakers: Audrey El- der, Gene Padgitt, Tom Talbert, Linda Lee Sutton, and Marge Padgitt 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.: Silent Auction fundraiser: Meet at the Truman Memorial Building, 416 W Maple: Bid on great items—including some items owned by Ginger Rogers! If bringing items for the auction please check in at 5:30 p.m. 7:00 p.m.– 9:30 p.m.: Banquet at the Truman Memorial Building with keynote speaker Roberta Olden, who was Ginger Rogers’ assistant for 18 years. Sunday, July 15 10 am—12 pm: Private Fan Club Meeting and tour at the Ginger House Museum (Festival ticket holders only) This is the first showing of the house! 1:00—pm—5:00 pm: Tours at the Ginger House Museum (open to the public) $6 ea. Ginger Rogers made 73 films during her lifetime, was a Vaudeville and

Broadway actress, dancer, and singer. She was born at 100 W Moore

Street in Independence, Missouri, which was designated an Historic

Landmark property by the City of Independence for the

Ginger Rogers Day celebration with Ginger in attendance on July 16,

1994. The Ginger House Museum will be open for the first time

during the 2018 festival.
