Our Approach to World Book Day 2020

This year, we have chosen to promote and celebrate what can be one of the most wonderful times of

the day for children and young people and that is the time when they settle down into

bed and enjoy a story/reading with a loved one. Bedtime stories or reading together

promotes calming down and relaxation before sleep, creates emotional bonds, sup-

ports a child’s development in many different areas and is something to be enjoyed as

part of the daily routine and important family time together.

In school today, we have enjoyed the cosiness, relaxation and joy

that bedtime stories can bring to all children. Be prepared for your

little ones to nag you for a bedtime story and please enjoy it!
